Chapter 7 - awakening ceremony (I)

As the golden light of dawn broke, the day of the Sect Awakening Test arrived. Adrian and his brother Markus rose early, steeling themselves for the challenge ahead. Across the capital city, their fellow geniuses were also preparing, eager to put themselves to the test.

Adrian and Markus left the inn where they had spent the previous night and made their way towards the central area of the capital city, where the tests were being held. The main road was congested with a steady stream of people, including contenders and spectators, as well as carriages from prominent clans, making it difficult to navigate.

As they approached the arena, they were left in awe. The sheer scale of the structure was breathtaking - the walls towered 150 meters into the sky, their black surfaces exuding an aura of mystery and power. The interior was even more impressive, with tiered seating that seemed to stretch on forever, encircling a vast, open space filled with nothing but earth.

"Hundreds of thousands, maybe even millions, could fit inside," Adrian said to Markus, his voice filled with wonder.

The arena's grandeur was overwhelming, a true marvel of engineering and magic.

As the brothers made their way into the arena, the spectators began to fill the seats, creating a sea of expectant faces. The atmosphere was electric, and everyone could feel the excitement building. The air was charged with anticipation, and the hum of conversation grew louder, a palpable sense of expectation hanging over the crowd.

The seven great clans made their grand entrance into the arena, their procession echoing the splendor of their arrival in the city. The other clans followed suit, their dignitaries and representatives filing in with pomp and ceremony. The crowd erupted into applause, a wave of noise and movement that rippled through the stands as the clans took their reserved seats.

The arena was soon filled to capacity, with geniuses, contestants, and spectators from all walks of life. The clan heads, seated in a prominent corner, watched with keen interest as the younger generation prepared to showcase their skills. The air was electric, with the collective energy of the crowd building anticipation for the test to begin.

A figure descended from the skies, his black hair flowing behind him like a dark cloak. He wore long, flowing clothes with intricate golden embroidery that glimmered in the light, and his presence commanded attention. With a smooth motion, he landed on the air above the brothers and the other contestants, his eyes surveying the gathering with an air of authority."Greetings, young geniuses, esteemed elders, and honored guests!" the figure boomed, his voice echoing off the arena's walls. "I, Elder Mo, welcome you to the Sect Awakening Test! Today, we gather to witness the dawn of a new era, as the most talented young minds in the realm compete for recognition, honor, and a chance to claim their rightful place among the greats!"

"Although most of you are already familiar with the proceedings, I must say it again, for those who are not familiar with it," Elder Mo reiterated, his voice clear and commanding. "The Awakening Test is divided into four stages. First, the Awakening of your Element - if you possess Element Affinity. Second, the Condensation of your Constellation. Third, the Manifestation of your Constellation through Domains. And fourth, the Combat Test. Each stage will push you to your limits, and only the strongest will emerge victorious."

The trio from the city gates, recognizable to Adrian and Markus, were engaged in a heated discussion. One of them sneered, "It's finally starting, time for this genius to show the world what they're made of." His companions snorted in derision, one of them chuckling, "You think they're worthy? Ha! Fat chance." The third chimed in, laughing, "What do you want to do, Fat Pig? Bet on the winner?" The group erupted into mocking laughter.

Elder Mo's voice boomed, "The Element Awakening Ceremony begins! Approach the crystal bowls and place your hand upon them. The energy will flow, and your element affinity will be revealed." The contestants hesitated, then stepped forward, each receiving a crystal orb. As they touched the crystal, a burst of energy surged through their bodies, and the air around them began to shimmer, indicating the awakening of their element affinities.

With excitement in the eyes of the young geniuses, they converge towards the orb that would help them awaken their element.

It didn't take long for the first person to reach the crystal orb although he was not form any clan and just a normal citizen it didn't matter.

"Put you hand on the orb " elder Mo said to him and he complied and placed his right hand on the crystal orb.

Immediately after his hand touched the crystal orb it released a blinding red light and the air around the crystal orb seemed to become hot .

"Fire element affinity" elder Mo said as the young man moved to join back with the crowd.

It had to be known that the guenies from the seven great clans and other big clans had not go forward yet simidly waiting for the best moment to shine as if they had am agreement before the ceremony even began.

Adrian and Marcus seened to know this as well so that waited along with that ones from the big clans.

Marcus and this brother stood a little bit away from the rest of the crowd making their selfs stand out albeit not on purpose.

Some of the spectators in the stands and even all the geniuses participating in the ceremony also noticed this odd behaviour and some started talking amongst them selfs.

"Who are those two, I don't think I recognise them from any of the top geniuses from any clan." The brother from the heavenly golden body clan said to the others by his side who also turned their attention to Marcus and Adrian.

"Does it really matter?when we take the top three spots in this ceremony and get into the best sects I want to see if they can still keep that their pride" the youngest of the brothers said .
