Chapter 2 - Chapter 2 – Echoes of the Past

Prologue Scene – Valeborn's Home

The iron gate closed behind Ryan Valeborn with a soft click.

— "I'm home!" he called, slipping off his shoes.

— "Welcome, my son!" his mother replied from the kitchen, her voice tired but warm.— "What's in that bag?"

Ryan placed the bundle on the table, trying to hide his excitement.

— "Ah... it's a video game console. Next-gen."

— "What?!" She turned around, surprised.— "Son, we can't affor—"

— "It's okay, Mom. My friends gave it to me. Ethan and Ryu. They insisted."

She walked over and gently cupped his face.

— "They must be very wealthy..."

Ryan smiled.

— "They are. Ethan's the son of Inavy Stormbreak, and Ryu's Kelvin Nox's kid."

Her eyes widened. The shock only lasted a second—then came a proud smile.

— "I'm glad, my son... it sounds like you're making real friends."

He smiled back—but hesitated.

— "And the interview?"

She nodded.

— "It went well. I start tomorrow. Housekeeper."

— "Where?"

She took a deep breath.

— "The Jayson estate."

Ryan froze.

— "...Kane's?"

She noticed the tension and gently ran her hand through his hair.

— "It's going to be okay, sweetheart."

Scene 1 – Guild of a Thousand Lights HQ – Private Training Room

Golden flames and shadows clashed violently in the air.

Kelvin Nox, cloaked in elegant, dark aura, fought against Dante Valtier, whose divine light danced like a holy storm.

— "Come on, Dante. Don't treat me like a student," Kelvin taunted with a smirk.

— "You asked for this," Dante replied, spinning with his blazing sword.

The room shook with each blow. In a blink, Kelvin appeared behind Dante, pressing the Null Blade to his neck.

— "Predictable."

The door opened with a beam of light. Lorien Valtier stepped in, his Seraphim Eyes glowing.

— "Nice sparring. Almost as pretty as me at twenty."

Dante chuckled.

— "Dad… where's Mom?"

Kelvin crossed his arms.

— "You didn't come just to show off, did you?"

Lorien's tone turned serious.

— "Diana's in the office. I… felt something. Something old. Familiar."

Dante raised an eyebrow.

— "More of those strange feelings again?"

Lorien's eyes locked with Kelvin's.

— "It might be… him."

Kelvin paled.

Scene 2 – Twilight Forest

Golden leaves drifted in the orange breeze.Kelvin walked between the trees, Dante at his side.

— "This aura… it's strange. Doesn't feel like darkness," Dante said.

Kelvin scanned the area.

— "No. But it feels familiar."

A hooded figure stepped into the center of the clearing.

Kelvin froze.The hood fell.

Blue eyes. Auburn hair. A crooked smile.

— "You… you're real?" Kelvin whispered.

— "You've grown a lot since that day, huh, Kelvin?" the figure said.

Dante reached for his sword.

— "Who are you?"

Kelvin didn't look away.

— "Kai..."

Silence.

— "One of the few Lorien ever called a brother."

Scene 3 – Conference Room – Guild of a Thousand Lights

Lorien stood with his back turned. The moment Kai entered, his body went still. He turned.

— "KAI?!"

Kai raised an eyebrow.

— "Yo, Valtier."

Lorien slowly approached.Silence.

Then, he embraced him tightly.

— "You idiot… why'd you take so long?"

Kai smiled softly.

— "Because ghosts don't always know… if they should return."

Final Scene – Guild Halls – Night

Kelvin walked with Dante, fingers touching the pendant his mother gave him.

— "You've changed," Dante noted.

Kelvin kept his eyes on the floor.

— "Because if Kai's really back… something big is coming."

High above the city, Kai stood atop a tower, eyes scanning the lights.

— "Not all ghosts return to protect..."

(Pause)— "Some return… to destroy."
