"As they say, murder and arson are the most profitable ventures. This certainly justifies my investment over the years."

Hyuga Kumo glanced at the intermittently increasing "Manifestation Points." It was the first time he had seen the number reach five digits.

As the name suggested, the purpose of "Manifestation Points" was to create external objects from his imagination, but they couldn't be used to directly increase his own strength.

For example, he couldn't just give himself the Ōtsutsuki bloodline directly, but he could manifest the method to awaken it.

The way to obtain "Manifestation Points" was to make more people believe his "lies," causing them to experience strong emotional fluctuations.

The criteria for how many points were awarded were, first, the deceptive tactics used in the process, which were displayed on the panel under the [Achievements] section.

[Crocodile Tears], [Honeyed Words], and [Bluffing Through] were deceptive tactics he had used a few times before. [Playing the Game], [Honey-Tongued and Treacherous], and [Turning Lies into Truth] were, naturally, the methods used against Orochimaru.

The latter three were clearly on a higher level than the former three, and thus yielded a greater number of "Manifestation Points."

Second was the quantity and quality—that is, the strength—of the targets. The difficulty of fooling a Genin versus fooling Orochimaru was different, so the number of points obtained was naturally different.

Finally, there was the target's degree of belief in the lie and the intensity of the resulting emotional fluctuation.

When Hyuga Kumo transmigrated into this world and got the system, the starter pack contained a paltry 100 Manifestation Points.

According to his tests, 1 Manifestation Point could manifest a refined kunai, a fingernail-sized piece of chakra-conducting metal, or a weak, standard-issue explosive tag.

100 Manifestation Points wasn't much, but it wasn't nothing either. It couldn't manifest powerful ninjutsu, let alone a Kekkei Genkai. It was frankly a bit of a letdown.

So, after getting a general understanding of his precarious situation, Hyuga Kumo set his sights on Orochimaru.

Hyuga Kumo knew that his greatest asset wasn't the measly 100 Manifestation Points, but the knowledge of this world in his head.

At that time, Orochimaru, having experienced two Great Ninja Wars, was filled with a craving for "truth" and a fear of "death" that had already turned "immortality" into an obsession.

Just like later on, when Orochimaru's body was collapsing and he needed to transfer to a new host immediately, he still stubbornly waited for Sasuke to return so he could take his body.

And at that time, Yakushi Kabuto, with just a single sentence, struck fear into Orochimaru's heart and made him compromise.

"If you don't transfer immediately, you will lose everything. Is that acceptable?!"

For Orochimaru, [losing everything] was an absolutely unbearable pain, even overriding his obsession with the Sharingan.

What he had always wanted was not just eternal life or the Sharingan; he wanted [everything]—to learn all the ninjutsu in the shinobi world and master all the truths of the world. And this could only be achieved by living forever, only by possessing a more powerful bloodline.

And so, a forged ancient scroll was created, recording ancient secrets that were two parts truth and eight parts fiction, complete with the effect of a sealing jutsu.

That's right. There was actually nothing on the rest of the scroll. It was impossible for Orochimaru to ever break the "seal," because Hyuga Kumo hadn't even made up the rest of the content yet.

Or rather, Hyuga Kumo had already thought of it, but he had no intention of letting Orochimaru see it now.

From beginning to end, what Orochimaru could see was only what Hyuga Kumo wanted him to see.

He even intentionally let Orochimaru take the scroll and the piece of flesh, so that he could continue to guide Orochimaru based on the subsequent content in the future.

The smarter and prouder a person was, the more they believed in their own judgment.

These things had only cost 30 Manifestation Points. Forging the sealing jutsu was the most expensive part; aging the scroll only cost 1 point, and the so-called secrets were fabricated out of thin air.

The last 70 Manifestation Points were used by Hyuga Kumo to manifest a hollow shell—a shell that was merely maxed out in appearance but completely empty inside. This was what Orochimaru called the body of an Ōtsutsuki clan member.

These two items, especially the secrets recorded in the scroll, dealt a powerful blow to Orochimaru's worldview, instantly multiplying Hyuga Kumo's Manifestation Points several times over.

The Manifestation Points he acquired later were all used to fill that hollow shell. Over the years, he had spent over ten thousand points, exchanging them for real Ōtsutsuki Clan organs.

However, this Ōtsutsuki Clan was the Ōtsutsuki Clan from the moon, not the alien Ōtsutsuki Clan.

The physique of a true Ōtsutsuki Clan member should be at least on the level of the Sage of Six Paths. That was a completely different species from the humans of the shinobi world.

"Ten thousand Manifestation Points really can't manifest a true Ōtsutsuki body."

Looking at the 5% Ōtsutsuki Clan bloodline, Hyuga Kumo's eyes flickered slightly as he thought, "When I manifested it, the bloodline purity I benchmarked was Toneri Ōtsutsuki."

"Toneri possesses the purest Ōtsutsuki bloodline. Even Urashiki Ōtsutsuki called him a 'clansman,' not an 'inferior being' like he called Sasuke and Naruto. Besides Kaguya, there's probably no descendant of the Ōtsutsuki Clan in the entire shinobi world with a purer bloodline than him."

"A bloodline comparable to his was the limit of what I could bear. Plus, that body was custom-made using me as a template, so its organs could perfectly integrate with my body, leading to a world-shaking transformation."

But, he didn't know what level this body had actually reached.

With this thought, Hyuga Kumo got out of bed and walked into another room...

Time flew by. The rain gradually stopped, and the light of dawn split the darkness of the night, illuminating the lawn and refracting the light of the dew.

Konoha at dawn was still quiet, especially within the Hyuga Clan, which valued hierarchy and rules.

However, a series of strange laughs broke the peace of the clan grounds.

"Oho! Now is the perfect time to let youth blossom! Hahaha!"

The laughter arrived before the person, causing the on-duty Hyuga clansman's mouth to twitch. Then he saw a green shadow in the distance.

Kappa-like hair, very thick black eyebrows, a red scarf, a forehead protector tied around his waist, and his hands wrapped in bandages.

Clad in a strange green jumpsuit, running on his hands and kicking up a cloud of dust—there was only one person like that in all of Konoha today.

Konoha Chunin, Might Guy.
