The rain continued to fall, growing heavier by the moment.

In the sky, the fragments of the starry night were hidden behind a blanket of dark clouds.

However, unlike the surface of the ninja world, within the moon in the starry sky existed an unknown world.

Here, there were seas and lands, flowers and birds, fish and insects, flying creatures and beasts, as well as villages and stone houses.

From the outside, it seemed just like the ninja world, only much older.

The only difference was the utter silence; there was nothing but ruins.

At the very center of the moon, above a false sky, the "sun" emitted a warm glow.

Inside the "sun," there was vastness, an endless expanse, with islands of various shapes floating in the air, as if dropped into a universe devoid of stars. All that could be seen was a hazy mist; the earth was invisible, yet the edge of the "sky" could be touched.

Having lived for a long time in such a place, distinguishing between heaven and earth became impossible, leaving behind a feeling of emptiness.

However, for Ōtsutsuki Toneri, who had lived his entire life within the "artificial sun," this small, confined space was his whole world, and he had long since become accustomed to this cold void.

"Father."

The young Ōtsutsuki Toneri sat obediently on the ground, his pale skin and blue-white hair contrasting with the darkness around him. He looked up with his hollow eye sockets at the man before him. "Grandfather Kage hasn't come in a long time."

He didn't seem to be asking a question but rather stating a fact.

At just three years old, unable to see from birth, he could still perceive the world in front of him clearly, thanks to his inherently strong bloodline.

The "Grandfather Kage" Toneri spoke of was a gentle-spoken elder who, like others, had disappeared every now and then over the past three years.

"Toneri, Grandfather Kage won't come back."

Toneri's father reached out and gently stroked his hair, his tone calm as he said softly, "You must grow up quickly; one day, I too will be gone."

"Like the other grandfathers?" Ōtsutsuki Toneri asked.

"Yes," his father nodded gently. "You were born to save the world. You just lack strength now, but we will become your strength."

"Only with the sword hanging over one's head can those who stray down the wrong path and disrupt the world's peace become awakened."

Ōtsutsuki Toneri nodded in confusion, his childish voice asking, "Then, will you come back then?"

He didn't hear his father's answer. After a long silence, he finally heard his father softly chuckle and say, "We are always here; so how can there be a 'return'?"

The elder brother of the founder of the village, the Sage of Six Paths, had created such a ninja world.

The original intention of the Sage of Six Paths in establishing the Shinobi Sect was to let chakra become the power that connects people, transforming chakra into the bonds between individuals to create a world without war where everyone could coexist peacefully.

However, after the Sage of Six Paths passed away, humanity began to use chakra as a weapon for slaughter. As time progressed, wars were perpetually ignited. Endless, ceaseless wars…

From the moment Ōtsutsuki Toneri was born, the entire branch family knew destiny was on their side. The ninjas of the ninja world were destined to be cleansed; the birth of those bloodthirsty, warlike demons was an error!

Just as Toneri's father was about to continue instilling the branch family's extreme ideology into him, a hum filled the air.

A wave of formless energy surged through the air, causing him to suddenly look up at the window in shock.

The crescent-shaped island floating in the distance was vibrating like a swarm of bees. Without hesitation, Toneri's father rushed out of the palace to meet two others.

The three shared grave looks and nodded before flying toward the distant crescent island.

Now, there were very few Ōtsutsuki clan members surviving on the moon. All the eligible females had died in the war between the main family and the branch family years ago, leaving behind only the elderly and frail.

Including Toneri's father, the three individuals were typically responsible for guarding the Ōtsutsuki treasures, namely the "Giant Tenseigan."

Buzzing! Buzz! As they entered the passage to the island, the formless wave of energy grew stronger, the three's white robes fluttering.

When they reached the end of the passage, they entered an empty space beside it, seeing several circular tracks in the center, where a massive eye with a diameter of several dozen meters sat.

That golden eye was the true form of the Giant Tenseigan, but the ring tracks that were supposed to rotate uniformly around the Tenseigan were currently spinning chaotically as if disturbed by invisible fingers.

"What's happening?" Panic seeped into Toneri's father's eyes. "Why has the Tenseigan suddenly reacted?!"

Golden light particles were now bursting forth from the pupil of the Tenseigan like a swarm of fireflies escaping a broken dam, flowing like blood through veins, exploding in small bursts upon contact with objects and then spreading outward.

Even though this Tenseigan was still only a half-finished product, such abnormalities had never occurred in the past years.

One of the older men linked his chakra to the Tenseigan, slowly sensing the direction from which the "pupil power" was dissipating.

"This is impossible!"

He widened his eyes, nearly popping them from their sockets, hoarsely saying, "The Tenseigan is responding to someone's call in the ninja world!"

"It's impossible!" Toneri's father instinctively blurted out. "How could those demons qualify for the saint's response?!"

Another elder, whose demeanor was noticeably more stable, although still shocked by the news, calmly turned to the brown-haired elder and asked, "Can you determine that person's identity or pinpoint their exact location?"

"No." The brown-haired elder shook his head, brow furrowed. "The weather in the ninja world is terrible; it's obstructed my observations."

He paused, then closed his eyes again, his face growing pale.

After a moment, he suddenly opened his eyes wide and solemnly said, "The Land of Fire! Roughly near the Land of Fire!"

"Damn those ninjas!" Toneri's father's forehead bulged with veins, saying hatefully, "Have they not stolen the Gedo Statue? Now they even dare to lay their hands on the Tenseigan! This is unforgivable!"

This Giant Tenseigan was meant for Toneri; it was the result of countless sacrifices of their clan members' lives and the convergence of many Byakugan's pupil power, the supreme sacred object that could not be allowed to fall into the hands of those demons in the ninja world!

If he knew who was daring enough to commit such an act, he would ensure that person would meet their end without a place to be buried!

"Quick!" Toneri's father suddenly looked up and said firmly. "Immediately set up a seal to sever the Tenseigan's connection to the outside world!"

Upon hearing, the other two elders exchanged glances and nodded as if they had made a decision, sitting cross-legged on the ground with their eyes closed. Toneri's father followed suit.

"Seal!" the three shouted in unison, their chakra drained, faces turning pale as they were left emaciated, and their blood and spirit were exhausted; only then did the trembling Tenseigan begin to calm down gradually.

Crack.

Ōtsutsuki Toneri sat silently in the room, not knowing how much time passed, when he heard the sound of the door gently pushed open.

However, unlike before, his father's breath sounded hoarse and hurried, like a broken bellows, carrying a wretched aura.

"Father…" Toneri instinctively called softly.

"Cough, cough! Cough!" A rough, wrinkled hand was placed on his head, and the hoarse voice said, "Toneri, you've always wanted to go to the ninja world and see it for yourself, haven't you?"

Upon hearing this, Toneri, who had originally wanted to say something, immediately cast his doubts aside and exclaimed, "Can I, Father?"

Toneri's father fell silent for a moment, thinking of the two clan members who had already passed away, his increasingly frail body, Toneri's lonely future, and the demons of the ninja world…

A glimmer of hatred surfaced in his eyes, and he slowly nodded, saying, "Yes."

"Prepare yourself; I'll take you to the ninja world in a few days."

"I will let you see for yourself the ugliness and sins of the ninja."
