Chapter 3 - Chapter Three: At The Red Moon Party

Lyra's POV

I had no other choice. If I wanted a higher chance of escape, I should blend in with the crowd.

So I stole some clothes and threw my old, worn ones to the incinerator.

The dress didn't even look exactly expensive either. The bodice dark blue dress that hugs the curves of my body was a bit short as its skirt reached at the tip of my knees. I kicked off my old combat navy boots and replaced them with black leather shoes which were conveniently situated next to the dress.

I hoped I wouldn't attract attention, seeing that I just sneakily came out from the lower ground floor.

Fortunately, they were too distracted by the music, the loud chatters, and the food they consumed that once again, I was lucky enough to roam casually around.

The place I was in now is the function room of the hotel. I recognized familiar faces of affluent families from the human side. These were the same ones who sold their souls to our enemies just so they could remain wealthy. The worst of humans that we looked down on.

Yet, this was the first time I was seeing different creatures in one place—wolves, vampires, faeries, ogres, elves. All in one place, enjoying without a sound of prejudice.

No, I didn't have time to dawdle, I needed to leave quietly.

However, when I passed by the buffet table, my stomach grumbled as my eyes wandered at the sight of fancy food. Seeing the sight presented before me, my stomach grumbled.

And next to it, as I couldn't help my lips curved into a smile, were filled with more berries. Was today a berry festival for these monsters?

"Excuse me," one of the staff of the hotel approached me with a clear skeptical look in his eyes. "Do you mind showing us your ID as your proof of identification?"

Oh, crap. I spoke too soon that I would be safe from their suspicions.

I turned to them— two young dwarves as I gave my most dazzling smile. Good, these dwarves are known to be deceived so easily.

"Do you ask this to every human in the vicinity, young gents?"

The two exchanged looks. "Err…we are asking because we haven't seen you before."

"Oh my," I said with exaggeration as I gave a dramatic gasp. Then gave them a haughty glare. "How could you not know that I, Audrey Hepburn, a world-renowned thespian of stage plays, huh?"

"Ma'am, your name isn't on the list."

"Then, shall I ask the Alpha, William Bates, to come here for confirmation, hm?" I smirked. "I happen to know him personally and I'm well acquainted with the Alpha. I am sure he wouldn't mind meeting you, gents and having a "private" talk."

They both flinched at the mention of the notorious wolf. He was one of my mother's clients, after all.

"I'm s-sorry, ma'am. W-we thought—'' his face turned red with embarrassment. "If you excuse us."

And the staff members scurried away, leaving me alone as I continued acting haughty and entitled and gave a loud harumph.

Not going to lie, it was a whim that I pulled through this act and I was proud of my performance.

Now, I couldn't go out until I was completely off the radar of the guests here. I sighed as my eyes wandered back to the buffet table and pondered.

M-maybe I should stay here a bit and I could sneak some food down to my bag. I was sure they wouldn't notice a thing.

As I slowly gathered my food and gave those who were staring at me with my smile, I was thinking everything would be fine.

I would be back home safe before I know it.

"Welcome to the Red Moon Celebration," a young beautiful woman caught our attention at the stage. "As it is nearly midnight, I would like to thank all of you for attending this event."

The guests applauded afterwards and while their attention was on that emcee, I immediately grabbed some turkey meat and put them inside my bag.

"We will also thank Count Julian Czarnel for sponsoring this once-in-a-lifetime event with the humans of our choice. "

More applause and cheers.

Julian Czarnel? Pfft. What was so great about that guy? A name I would rather not dwell with.

Oh well, seeing the sudden chatters of excitement among them, I continued getting more food. Meatballs, halibut, risotto, all in the bag. If only I ad a container, I would have added that pasta. But oh well, the pasta it goes.

I plopped more of them inside my bag.

"To the fortunate humans who are chosen to be here, witness your first Red Moon celebration with us." She chuckled. "Of course, you humans can't see it but oh well, be thankful that you are all here with us tonight."

I rolled my eyes. Like I gave a damn.

"Now that it is only a minute before the Red Moon, let the celebration begin!"

Well, go ahead and enjoy your time, fucking monsters. Don't mind me gathering more food but as I gave a sideways glance to look at the female emcee, my hand nearly dropped the chicken meat as I was taken aback from what I'd just seen.

The female emcee stripped herself naked in front of the audience as her red, glittery night dress dropped on the floor. Her breasts and her bare womanhood is exposed for everyone to see.

"W-what the–?" I gasped.

Not long after, the wolves, faeries and vampires all stripped themselves naked while the remaining people were at awe at their beauty. Some of them reverted back to their true forms of ogres, leprechauns and big foots.

Hot bodies glistened with sweat and I blushed at the sight of multiple hardened dicks from male wolves, eyes predatory and ready to pounce.

When the dark misty clouds slowly dissipated and reveal a huge full moon, the creatures' eyes turned red before tackling each other with a searing kiss.

Next to me the male wolf slammed his female mate against the buffet table as platters of food shatter on the floor.

"JESUS CHRIST!" I yelled.

I flinched as two hottest people I had ever seen in my life were making out next to the past chafing dish. Clothes clumsily removed until he positioned himself and thrust inside of her.

"AAAAAAAAH!"

The woman gave a euphoric scream. Repulsed, I screamed before turning to face more of them doing the deed. Soon more grunts and moans lapsed with the classical music in this function room.

The aroma of sex was filled in the air as I was beyond shocked by the sight of public indecency.

I was expecting them to dance or drink some kind of fancy wine, not some damn orgy!

So, this was what the Red Moon was about? To fuck from midnight till dawn? These...they were indeed disgusting creatures!

'I need to get outta here!' I took my bag and readied to bail out but a large hand grabbed my wrist.

I shivered, fear struck me as I slowly turned around.

One of the wolves with red eyes staring lustfully at me.

"Where do you think you're going, human?"
