Chapter 316 - Chapter 316: Roll Out! Just Roll!

Chapter 316: Roll Out! Just Roll!

Shane's words, though spoken softly, carried an undeniable, domineering aura that swept across the island, a palpable pressure that everyone could feel! The Holy Knights' scalps tingled, a chill running down their spines.

"Lord Garling…" one of them instinctively turned to Garling, about to suggest a retreat. But one look at his face, and he wisely swallowed his words. In all the decades he had served him, he had never seen his former commander, now an Elder, with such a twisted, savage expression. His face was contorted with rage, veins bulging, all his former dignity gone, replaced by the pure fury of being utterly offended.

"Don't you dare spout such nonsense, Shane!" Garling roared, his face a mask of killing intent! That dismissive attitude, that casual "either get lost, or die"—it was more insulting than any taunt! He couldn't stand it! Even if Rocks himself were here, he wouldn't have the right to speak to him like that!

"You think you can be so presumptuous in front of me just because you beat a few old fossils?! Shane! Today, I will show you… that even among the Five Elders, there is a difference in strength!"

Garling raised his hands, and a massive amount of purple-black flame-cloud erupted from his body, intertwining with the holy moonlight behind him!

VWOOM!

In an instant, the shattered blood moon reformed, even larger and more solid than before, radiating a soul-shaking, destructive aura. He had to go all out! Garling pushed his awakened form to its absolute limit, and the already massive Tsukuyomi's body swelled even larger.

In the next moment, his giant palm, wreathed in black-and-red moonlight, descended like the heavens themselves, crashing down on Shane and Jack!

"Lunar Eclipse: Divine Punishment!"

The palm covered a vast area, its power far greater than the attack he had used on Jack! The air shrieked, and a large part of the island's ground shattered and collapsed under the pressure. Even the nearby coast was hit by a tsunami.

"Look out!"

"Get back!"

The Holy Knights were terrified, scrambling to retreat, afraid of being caught in the indiscriminate attack.

"Boss, watch out!" Jack's face changed, and he rasped a warning. He knew how troublesome this old man's abilities were.

However, Shane, standing at the front, just chuckled, not even bothering to look up. Until the very last moment, as the sky-blotting palm was about to descend and the shadow of destruction completely engulfed them—Shane finally moved.

He didn't draw his sword, didn't assume any grand stance. He just casually raised his left hand and drew it back slightly. Then, a simple, straight punch. No thunderous roar, not even much of a gust of wind. But the moment his fist was about to touch the massive, purple-black moonlight palm…

CRACK!

With the appearance of black-and-red lightning on his fist, an indescribable, terrifying shockwave erupted from the point of contact! Time seemed to stop. There was no earth-shattering explosion, no blinding flash of energy. Just a pure white, visible shockwave that spread out silently! Everywhere it passed, the air was instantly evacuated, creating a perfect vacuum!

CRACK! CRACK! CRACK!

A sickening series of cracks echoed. The giant hand, formed from pure moonlight and Conqueror's Haki, began to crack from the center of the palm. In the next instant, the cracks spread out in all directions, and the entire hand shattered into countless fragments, dissipating into the air!

Roaring Aura Sky Ripping Fist! This was the result of Shane's days and nights of hellish training. By concentrating all his strength into a single point, he could shatter anything in his path with pure vibrational force! He had only just begun to master it, but it had already surpassed all his previous martial arts, becoming his strongest killing move!

"What?!" As the giant hand dissipated, Garling let out a pained grunt, his face a mask of shock and disbelief. How is that possible?! The Lunar Eclipse: Divine Punishment was his ultimate attack in his awakened form! And it had been so easily dispelled by a casual punch?! And what was even more terrifying… was that the aftershock of that punch had not dissipated! After shattering his giant hand, it had not weakened at all, but was now surging upwards, heading straight for him!

"Dammit!" Garling panicked. He desperately tried to form a thick barrier of purple-black flame-cloud and white moonlight in front of him. But it was useless!

BOOM!!!

With a deafening roar, Garling coughed up a mouthful of blood. His hundred-meter-tall Mythical Zoan form was sent flying back several kilometers, his feet carving two deep trenches in the ground, but he still couldn't dissipate all the force. He crashed through several rock mountains and was almost thrown into the sea on the other side of the island before he finally stopped.

The dust took a long time to settle. "Cough cough cough…" A series of violent coughs. Garling's Tsukuyomi form was now in a pathetic state. His clothes were torn, his hair was a mess, and his exposed chest was a bloody pulp. All his previous divine, inviolable dignity was gone.

His hazy eyes finally refocused. Garling wiped the blood from his mouth and looked down, his eyes filled with terror and horror.

"There is indeed a difference between the Five Elders," Shane said, slowly retracting his fist, as if stating a simple fact. "But unfortunately, the gap between you and me is even greater."

The entire battlefield fell silent! What arrogant words, what a condescending attitude, but… it was irrefutable!

Shamrock swallowed hard, staring at the distant Shane, and instinctively took a step back, a cold sweat breaking out on his forehead. The scene had clearly triggered some very unpleasant memories. And the six Holy Knights were even worse, their faces ashen, their breathing almost stopped. The way they looked at Shane was no longer just fear, but as if they were witnessing a true, living demon god. They trembled like leaves in a storm!

Is this the one who has even slain the Five Elders?! Is this the master of the Curtain Call, the one who has made the entire Holy Land, Mary Geoise, tremble in fear?!

"…" Shanks knelt on the ground, gasping for breath, his gaze on Shane's back filled with an unprecedented complexity. Shock, disbelief, and a hint of… an indescribable bitterness. He was young and had become a Yonko, and had always been proud of his strength. And he had briefly sparred with Shane before, and thought he knew his limits. So, all this time, when he had heard of the Curtain Call's incredible feats, of the World Government's defeats at their hands, he had thought it was just because of the strength of his crew, a series of lucky coincidences. But now, he finally realized. Even without the Curtain Call, without Issho, Kuina, and that eight-winged archangel… that man, Shane, was a being who could make the entire Holy Land tremble on his own! All his previous plans, his secret maneuvers, his warnings in the name of the "bigger picture"… in the face of this man's terrifying, unparalleled power, they all seemed so petty, so laughably insignificant.

"Hiss!" Jack, who couldn't even lift a finger, gasped, his jaw dropping, forgetting all about the pain. All he could think was, "Damn! The boss is the boss! He's so fucking strong!" He knew the boss was strong, ridiculously strong, but to see it with his own eyes, to see the old fossil who had just been beating him to a pulp get swatted away like a dog… it was beyond his wildest imagination! That was the strongest of the Five Elders' full-power attack! And it was just… shattered by a single punch?! The boss has gotten even stronger! In the world today, among the Yonko, who dares to challenge him?!

"Holy Knights, and Shamrock," Garling's grim voice suddenly rang out.

"Sir," Shamrock snapped back to reality.

"Forget that traitorous son. All of you, focus your attack on him!" Garling's face was grim as he said, word by word, "He is the greatest threat to the Holy Land! We must kill him here today, at all costs!"

"Th-yes, sir!" Shamrock hesitated for a moment, then took a deep breath and, along with the six elite Holy Knights, responded. He knew that his father, who was stronger than him, was no match for this man alone. That was why he had swallowed his pride and given such an order. But… even with him, could they really do anything to this man? He was not only ridiculously strong, but he also clearly had many secrets. He had heard that last time, that eight-winged archangel who was a hard counter to them had been summoned out of thin air. Hopefully, his father had some other trump card. Otherwise, if he summoned that angel this time, then…

VWOOM!

Just as the Holy Knights had overcome their fear and formed an encirclement, ready to attack Shane—the sound of churning purple-black flame-clouds came from behind. Shamrock turned in astonishment to see a massive five-pointed star sigil. And his father, Garling's figure, had already eagerly stepped into it and vanished in an instant.

The night wind blew. The battlefield, now without the massive body of Tsukuyomi, seemed strangely empty.

"Father?!" Shamrock's eyes widened, his mouth agape. He was stunned. He told them to coordinate and attack together? And in the blink of an eye, he had been sold out, left behind to cover the retreat?!

"?" Shane was also completely caught off guard. He looked in the direction Garling had disappeared, surprised. He had thought that Garling, though a bastard, had some of the pride of a ruler. He had been about to summon Angewomon for an epic 2v8 battle, to see if he could take out both father and son and expand his gains. But… How could he be so shameless?

Shane shook his head and turned his gaze to the remaining seven. "It seems your Elder is still the same old speed bump." He smiled a kind, friendly smile. "So, what about you?"

The smile was full of warmth, but to Shamrock and the others, it was the smile of a demon. They shivered as if plunged into an icy abyss.

"Run!" someone yelled, and the seven of them scattered, fleeing in all directions! They had learned their lesson from last time. The Curtain Call had a way of nullifying their immortality! And they could even interrupt their teleportation! Otherwise, Lord Garling wouldn't have tricked them into covering his retreat while he snuck away! So, teleporting at close range was suicide! They had to get far enough away and then teleport while he was busy chasing someone else!

"Tsk," Shane clicked his tongue and sighed, bored. "I ask a polite question, and you all run. So scared. Is it really necessary?" He gently raised his index finger and pointed.

Finger Pistol: Ten-Finger Barrage!

Ten streams of wind, streaked with black-and-red light, shot through the air like bullets, accurately piercing the backs of the seven fleeing figures. As a master of the Six Powers, who could be said to be unmatched in the world, each of Shane's Finger Pistols was already terrifyingly powerful. And now, with an overwhelming amount of high-quality Conqueror's Haki infused into them…

"No!" SQUELCH!

In the night sky, six bloody flowers bloomed. The six elite Holy Knights didn't even have time to scream before their hearts were pierced, and they were pinned to the ground, coughing up blood. They weren't dead, but with their Haki suppressed, their immortality was temporarily useless. They couldn't heal their hearts, let alone break free.

And Shamrock, who was on the cusp of the Admiral/Yonko level, though he had used a lot of stamina fighting Shanks, was still far stronger than his subordinates. Though four of the Finger Pistols were aimed at him, at the last moment, with his superb physical skills, he managed to twist and dodge them all.

But Shane had clearly anticipated this. As Shamrock began to dodge, he stroked his chin and thought for a moment. Then, with a chuckle, he casually drew the sword from his back and sent three Divine Departures after him.
