Chapter 72 - Chapter 72: The Glyph In The Shadows

"This glyph is rather perculiar..." Timothy couldn't help but exclaim as he saw the glyph presented to him on screen. Looking at Jarren's figure during his confrontation with Brose, he couldn't help but clutch his chin in perplexion yet his face remained calm.

In his mind, all kinds of glyphs came to be. Be it for summons, elementals, auxiliary spells and even pheromancy but none of them would match with what he saw. "The royal court would throw a fit seeing this." Esdora much like the others hoped that he would notice something off and have him pulled out of the tournament.

"I'll have this sent to the royal court for a further debrief however for the time being, it would be better for him to keep on casting this glyph." An answer most didn't want to hear but their couldn't oppose him. "It's a shame, however are you sure that you don't know anything about this glyph."

One of the Vorthmere professors didn't bother masking their disbelief. "Unfortunately no, but a more personal meeting with Jarren could help enlighten me on his glyph." Before he couldn't continue, his bracelet let out a short beep and frowned. "Excuse me."

And with that his figure left the lounge leaving the professors bewildered. "It's a shame that even he can't decipher Jarren's glyph." Harven sighed, inwardly pleased as it meant that he wasn't falling behind in terms of competency but on the other hand sad that even Timothy couldn't figure it out.

...

"I see." Timothy whispered to an earpiece that wrapped around his ear. "However there is a perculiar individual, more like a pair. I'll send you the details. Can you give me a background check on Jarren Velros and Callista Vaewlyn?" The voice on the other end replied calmly.

"Very well." And with that the conversation came to an end. He was relayed about the information related to Othare, his face darkening the more he pondered about it. With a grunt and clearing his throat, he barged back into the lounge where all kinds of eyes landed on him.

"There should be a proper debrief sent to me by the end of the third trial. All we have to do is wait." Some gave heavy sighs, aware that the information relayed to them would either be altered or changed if they discovered something revolutionary. In a world that changed more by the day, such a finding would definitely be worthwhile.

Not to mention if the glyph was mastered by the kingdom, it would greatly bolster their advantage in the current technological race over the other kingdoms. "Well it's great to know that the issue will be dealt with." Horare absent-mindedly mused. He wasn't naive to believe that they would be told the absolute truth.

"Speaking of Jarren and Callista, where are those two? I'd like to properly meet them." Timothy posed, however an answer he wasn't happy with came to him. "He left for Boylres with Callista, some students citing a date." A random instructor added, looks of shock appearing on most of their faces.

'Dating?' Timothy who hadn't known much about the two knew from the professors that the two were of two completely different worlds. Sure they were of noble background but the difference was way too great for comparison. And now the two had fallen in love. "Some saw them head to a hotel, for what purpose that remains a mystery."

Veriyal spoke up, her tone now relaxed as she was now sure that Jarren had completely forgotten about her. Cases of students engaging in sexual acts weren't that much of a shock given that they were all of age save for the first year students but the two making out was definitely a shock.

"Maybe it has something to do with her collar. A cat bell of all things?" They too were curious as to why she wore it, unsure whether Jarren took pleasure in her degradation or she had intentionally chosen to wear it. A question that would be way too intrusive for them to ask, and with no friends around her it would seem that it would be another wonder that would go unanswered.

"I just hope that the two are aware of the repercussions they'll cause if this matter came to light." Harven concluded, Timothy clasping his hands as he waited for the two to conclude their meal.

*Two days later*

Stepping off his bed, Jarren admired his hand before looking at the fairy of a beauty in his bed. Callista slept peacefully, the last two days spent with him stretching her to her limits. From tame to far more risque games that left her mentally and physically drained however her entire body was sent into a spiral of bliss.

Her chest heaved slightly, his arm resting on her head before landing a kiss on her forehead before pulling back. He then looked at her neck, her bells lightly shimmering in the light. "Wake up kitty." Lightly nudging her shoulder, she lazily opened her eyes.

"Huh?" Her voice raspy as she forced herself to wake up. Supporting her upper torso with her hands, in her half dazed state was guided out of the bed.

*Thud*

She limply fell to the floor, the mild pain bringing her out of her sleepy haze. "Ow!" She cried however recalling where she was, she forcefully shut her mouth. "You can sleep as much as you want kitty but that will have to come at a later time. Possibly when you're an adventurer."

Helping her back on her feet, she forced herself to stand. The pain between her thighs now washing over her mind. "Okay but why did you have to wake me up so rudely. I want to sleep~" Rubbing her eyes, she looked around the room before memories of what they two had been upto coming to her.

In her own mind, she was still baffled with what she had done. "As much as I want to laze about, we still have a tournament to finish." She sighed, glancing at her own hands as a veil of blackwater obsidian crystals coated her hand. "Fine but can this cute little kitty of yours ask for a request?"

Her face now replaced with puppy eyes, her mind familiar with the mask of her new role. "Of course, what is it?" Cupping her face, he listened to her demand. "Can I take this collar off? I'll wear it in public or private but as of late it's been getting a little too stuffy for me. Not to mention with the cum all over my body it'll start to smell."

He brushed his shoulders in indignance, before flicking her silver bells. "Of course , you can decorate it to your liking as well but no more sleeping Callista." With a snap of his fingers, her clothes now cleaned and neatly folded next to his. "Come on, I have to make sure that you take your bath, after all I know how much you don't like taking showers."

Taking the collar off her neck, she rubbed it a bit before following him to the nearby bathroom. But of course with Jarren it wasn't long before she was pinned to the wall. Her mounds pressed the clear glass, her pussy burrying his dick as a shower trailed over their bodies.

"Come on, how am I suppose to get clean if you're going to keep on fucking me silly?" Her tone though condescending had a hint of playfulness. "Well I have to make sure that I get every single spot on your body." He held her throat, arching her back and ramming her crotch onto his.

The slurred sounds of flesh clashing and water coating their bodies mixed with each other before the two came to their crescendo. Cum and water mixed with each other, trailing down her thighs.

*Slap*

Her ass jiggled with his spank followed with a hot moan. "Anhh ~ Come on Jarren. Don't anhh~" He turned her around, making her force him. His shaft twitched between her legs, coated with precum and water. "Ahh ~~" It wasn't long before it fully delved into her cove. Unsatisfied with her position, he lifted her leg in the air making her lean onto the glass wall.

*Pah-Pah-Pah*

"Anhh ~~" Her fist curled into balls, her face losing her earlier composure that she regained as slumber fully left her system. With a few more thrusts and her erotic moans, he was done playing with his cat for now. "Mnnhh~~" Her eyes closed shut as she felt his hot load fill her guts.

As for Jarren, her tightness remained on par with Clomere who fancied on taking the initiative. Both stunning ladies with their own factors and charms. Letting go of her leg, he cleaned both himself and her before leaving the shower.

Dressing into his clothes, she remained strewn on the bed, ready to fall back to sleep. With a final pat on her head, he took her leave. The door clicked behind him, Callista now alone in the room. She could already feel her indifference claim her senses once more.

She looked at the collar, laying on the floor and without a second thought burnt it with her dark light. She made her way to the mirror, her stark body in full splendor coming into view. She narrowed her eyes at her neck, a faint print of the former collar still present.

A glyph flickered for a mere second. A another collar came to be, now rather than shimmer in the light was constituted of blackwater obsidian as it greatly contrasted with her ash-grey hair and sharp transparent eyes. A perfect opposite and yet she wore it with pride, recalling the shower.

As much as she wanted to leave, a wave of fatigue started to overtake her entire body and begrudgingly, she dragged her body to the bed and collapsed without a second care. The way she would unfold upon his touch both excited and made her wary.

As for the princess and his words, she was sure that he would do something but not at the moment. A further thought at the moment left her completely drained making her fall asleep.

...

Making his way back to his room, Jarren was met with a letter. He didn't need to read to know exactly what the write wanted. Checking for some light imperfections here and there, he made his way to Timothy who waited for him at a garden.

The place well maintained by the academy's staff, all kinds of flowers and other fauna littering the place. A light breeze swaying by. "Tea?" His tone light as he gestured at the drink in the fine china. "I'm not that interested." He retorted, his hands clasped together resting on his laps.

"The first time I saw your glyph I thought that I had officially lost it but now I'm dead sure that you're onto something. With such a revolutionary glyph, I'm sure that you'll do more than just turn heads, maybe secure a proper position at the royal court."

Timothy's words were laced with honey as he cooed through his sips. Jarren already seeing through his game apathetically went on. "Well then I'm sure that that would be a convincing deal to offer however I prefer to be adventurer." A lie that Jarren himself knew. Timothy gave a sigh, his mind already fearing that he had lost Jarren's interest.

"Well I'm sure the we can both come to an understanding. A base schematics of your glyph will do, it not then who knows what might happen later on." His voice shifting from it's earlier fruity tone to something more grounded and gravel.
