"What a crazy guy, if I could, I'd beat him up."
"So brave, Giulio. Why don't you go straight to him right now?"
"No need, he was already humiliated by Camila, and I'm stronger than her."
Camila decided to ignore Giulio's words and approached Enrico. Of course, she also noticed Valença's threatening look in case she dared to fall for him because of the help he had given. So, she had to choose her words carefully so Valença wouldn't get irritated.
"Thank you very much for saving me, Enrico."
"No problem, I'm sure you'd do the same."
"Yes, I would, especially because… you're just a neutral friend."
Noticing Valença's eyes satisfied, she sighed in relief, sitting down next to Giulio. That was more terrifying than she thought; because of it, she would definitely be more careful with her back from now on.
'I may have won, but he's right. If it were a fight without that rule, he would definitely win… I need to prepare, he will surely be an opponent of mine if I'm chosen to form a team with one of the top five.'
Knowing her limitations, she planned to ask Enrico for some guidance—without threatening the place of the girls who were interested in him, of course.
"Master, good morning."
"You finally woke up, Yumeha. Did you like the food I left covered by the bed?"
"Yes, and as always, it was delicious."
They were a little surprised that Enrico knew how to cook, but what really bothered everyone was seeing Yumeha much closer than usual to Enrico, with a sweet and loving smile as if something had happened between them. Valença, looking at this, was frozen in place. She knew that smile meant something, and that meant she had arrived too late.
'I thought you had some decency, Yumeha, but now you're forcing me to lower myself.'
Seeing that the red-haired girl was next, Valença suddenly appeared in the middle of the arena, surprising everyone with her speed—but what was even more frightening was her grim expression.
"Get up already, I have something to do today with my future husband."
"What are you talking about? Never mind, I don't care."
Climbing into the arena, the girl didn't want to introduce herself, as if Valença was too inferior to deserve it. But that didn't faze her at all, especially since Giulio had already revealed her name while they were in the stands.
"My name is Valença, and your brother already told us your name."
"That idiot."
Her name was Giulia Rossetti, her first name almost identical to her brother's, since their father had given the first names and left the surnames of their two mothers.
"Anyway, that doesn't matter. Let's begin."
"The rules will be the same, and I expect both of you to accept the result."
"Of course, sir. At least on my part, the result will be accepted, unlike theirs."
Seeing the auras around the two growing larger, the knight simply shook his head and began the battle between them.
"Large fireball."
The two launched their fire magic in the same way, but the difference was shown when Valença's fireball pushed Giulia's back.
"Tsk, fire wall."
Creating a wall, she managed to resist the fire attack. Raising her hand, several fireballs appeared above her head.
Seeing the attack launched, Valença spun her staff, creating a fiery whirlwind around her that blocked all the attacks. Once safe, she thrust her staff backward, using fire magic to propel herself quickly toward Giulia.
"Incandis."
Incandis appeared around Valença as a light redder than normal compared to the last time Enrico saw it. With that light coming from her body, Valença seemed faster and changed the direction she was going, appearing to Giulia's left.
"Incandescent Ray."
Sensing danger, she tried to dodge by jumping, but from the ground, a lava hand grabbed her in place, burning her feet and leaving her open to be hit by the incandescent ray straight to her chest.
"Ahhh!"
From the explosion of the attack, Giulia emerged with parts of her body burned, especially her chest, which was charred and bleeding, along with her feet.
'Damn it, I put too much magic into that. I thought she could resist since she's a fire user like me and Enrico.'
"Magic: Soul Flames – Heal."
Giulia's skin began to regenerate, the damage and blood evaporating. She also created a small fire mantle to cover her chest since the upper part of her clothing had been destroyed.
'What kind of powerful attack was that?'
On Giulia's face was a trace of fear. That attack had been strong and terrifying—she even thought she might have died while receiving it.
'Since the knight didn't interfere, he must have known it wouldn't kill me. Still, it was horrible.'
Now, resentment grew in her chest, directed at Valença and the guards. She felt that this battle would last a long time and might leave her with more serious injuries, so she decided to save it for later.
'I came here to meet him, not to get hurt… even if Matteo hates it, I don't care, because he can't do anything.'
She couldn't lose that battle because she had promised that boy she wouldn't be beneath anyone until she found him.
"Crimson Fire Magic: Total Explosion."
A massive magic burst from Giulia's body, burning the ground and melting it beneath her. Giulia was special because, even though she had affinity only with fire magic, she had three types of fire that could be considered separate, each with its own circles, allowing her to evolve them together.
"Looks like you're going to unleash your best attack, so I'll do the same."
Enrico's finger in the stands trembled slightly, while in the arena, Valença had sweat on her forehead, seeing all that power radiating from Giulia's body. Holding her staff forward, she began creating her Cataclysm Flame.
"You two want to kill each other? Stop now—this match is a draw!"
Hearing the knight's voice, both looked at him. Valença was uncomfortable with her fight being stopped, but if the knight said that, it was because he was sure they could have died from that attack.
"Any complaints about my decision?"
"No, sir."
The two looked at each other as if the fight wasn't over and returned to their sides. Matteo glared at her as if he wanted to kill her for not managing to win.
"Giulia—"
"Shut up, Matteo. Your voice is irritating."
"Tsk."
Matteo went straight into the arena while Giulia sat down in irritation. That was exactly the result she wanted, which was why she had used that technique that was still incomplete.
'I didn't think she had evolved so much. Someone really made a change, unlike in the original story.'
[Well, that happens when people reincarnate in a world.]
'You're right.'
Looking at her system screen, she began paying attention to all the students around the protagonist. Seeing their stats, she noticed a monstrous difference among them.
'Even Enrico, who was nothing special in the original work, became stronger… I have to find out which of them is one of the five reincarnated, and I still need to see if one of them is that boy.'
[The young lady is quite obsessed.]
She tried to notice something different among them, especially since Giulia, in the original story, had never shown all those abilities—at least not until she was eighteen.
'No one is reacting to this level of Giulia…'
