I see them again, the beautiful couple under the tree. The couple with the baby. Why am I seeing them again? Who are they supposed to be? Whose parents are these? And why do they look so ethereal? They don't look like humans at all.
I don't even get the chance to answer my own questions. There's no way I can even answer my questions. Because I don't have the answers.
I open my eyes, and I find myself on the ground, my hands are chained, and so are my legs. And then I remember what the hell happened to me.
Sekmetra, or rather Sofia. I remember I almost got through to her, but unfortunately, it didn't work, and she slammed me straight toward the walls. It hurt then, but it doesn't hurt now. That's the beauty of being a creature who heals easily.
Another beauty of being a nytheri is having super strength. Which means I can easily get these chains out of my hands, right?
