Chapter 209 - Chapter 209

"Un… unity?"

The pirate captains in the venue exchanged bewildered glances, eyes wide with disbelief.

Every crew that had fought their way into the New World—this slaughterhouse of the seas—was made up of lawless, arrogant individuals.

Every single captain present knew that when they encountered each other on the open sea, only two outcomes were possible.

Either they were evenly matched, unable to overcome one another, and would simply go their separate ways.

Or one would absorb the other—the big fish devouring the small, the small preying on the shrimp.

Expecting pirates—arrogant, scheming, and ruthless by nature—to unite?

Even if a temporary alliance were formed, the moment danger arose, they'd scatter like rats fleeing a sinking ship.

The alliance of the Worst Generation—Kid, Apoo, and Hawkins—was the perfect example.

Back then, they had shared a common ambition, forming a pact on a nameless island to challenge the Emperors by pooling their strength.

On the surface, they laughed together, feasted together, and seemed inseparable—ready to trust each other with their lives.

But what happened in the end?

When "Teacher" Kaido descended from the skies, displaying his overwhelming power, that fragile pirate alliance shattered instantly, crumbling into dust.

"Zehahaha! I dont mean to interrupt, but isn't your idea a bit too naive? Uniting all Pirates—would they even be pirates anymore? Wouldn't they just become a new Revolutionary Army?"

Teach was the first to voice his skepticism, chiming in once again.

This time, however, many of the pirate captains in the venue nodded in agreement with Teach's words.

"He's right. Sure, we're sitting here peacefully now, but let's be honest—once we're back on the seas, we're enemies. The only language we speak is cannon fire and steel. Many of the crews here are sworn enemies, locked in life-or-death grudges."

"Exactly! Unity? That's absolutely impossible!"

"Is this the power Doflamingo spoke of? Hah, utterly laughable!"

From the third row, Doflamingo, seated beside Crocodile, listened to the pirates' murmurs with a dark expression.

"Borororo, patience, my friends."

On the high platform, Caesar remained unperturbed, still grinning as he pressed his hands downward in a calming gesture.

Though discontent simmered among the pirates, they knew better than to offend such a formidable figure.

They quickly quieted down, waiting to hear what Caesar had to say next.

Sure enough, Caesar continued, "I'm well aware that uniting pirates is likely harder than finding the final island."

"But the unity I speak of isn't about forming alliances. It's about standing together against the Marines—our common enemy."

"To the Marines, it doesn't matter if you're a Yonko's crew or a small-time pirate—they want us all dead."

"And we pirates must remember one thing."

"The New World belongs to pirates alone!"

"In these waters, if the Marines dare attack any of us, they'll face the full retaliation of the pirate world. Their bases, World Government-affiliated nations, even the Celestial Tribute for those Celestial Dragons—they're all fair game!"

"Captain Caesar, your words may hold weight, but I've got to ask—will you big-shot crews really stick your necks out for small fries like us? How do we know we won't just be used as pawns or quietly swallowed up?"

A dry voice rang out from a corner—a pirate captain who looked visibly uneasy under the sudden attention of those around him, fearing he'd crossed a line.

Unfazed, Caesar chuckled from the platform. "No need to worry. Today's a meeting—speak freely. My Beast God Pirates guarantee no reprisals. If any crew faces trouble within three days of leaving here, I'll personally hunt down whoever's responsible!"

The tension in the room eased at Caesar's declaration—though a few scheming pirates stiffened in displeasure.

"Your question's a good one, brother. That's exactly what we'll discuss next. But before diving into details, I want everyone here to fully grasp the true strength of our enemies—the World Government and the Revolutionary Army. Katakuri!"

With a nod from Caesar, Katakuri rose and stepped onto the platform.

As he ascended, a massive, detailed projection illuminated the screen behind him—a world map marked with territories, nations, and islands.

"Ahem."

"As you can see," Katakuri began, "the red zones represent World Government control—roughly 60% of the world's landmass. Blue marks Revolutionary Army territory—48 nations, about 30%. The remaining 10%? That's ours." Katakuri manifested a long spear named Mogura in his hand, pointing at the red areas on the projection as he continued.

"These red zones encompass the most fertile lands, the richest mineral resources, the most abundant populations, and the most comfortable living environments."

"The World Government's military forces consist of the Army, Navy and the external CP agencies, with a total strength exceeding three million. Among them, the Navy alone boasts over 100,000 elite officers at the rank of captain or above!"

"I believe everyone here has had the most contact with the Navy, hence our most detailed understanding is of them."

"Within the Navy, there is one Fleet Admiral, three Admirals, three elite Vice Admirals, numerous ordinary Vice Admirals, and over a thousand Rear Admirals and Commodore-ranked officers."

The pirates stared at the towering images of Marine officers flashing across the massive screen.

There was Akainu, who single-handedly cut through dozens of Whitebeard's division commanders during the Summit War.

Fujitora, who could summon meteors with a single sword strike.

Kizaru, radiating blinding golden light.

Ryokugyu, whose feet spawned hundreds of meters of lush primeval forest.

...

"And this is just the Navy alone. Their Army's combat strength isn't much weaker than the Navy's."

Katakuri's expression turned grave as another photo appeared on screen.

It showed a cold-faced, burly man standing three meters tall, draped in a snow-white Justice cloak over a pale yellow uniform.

His muscular frame bore calloused fists as he stood triumphantly on a giant's head, facing down an army single-handedly.

The opposing forces wore distinctive green caps adorned with white feathers - unmistakably identifying them as Revolutionary Army troops.

"With the constant need to maintain war against the Revolutionary Army, the World Government invests no less in their Army than the Navy."

"For instance, this man is Army Admiral Pavlov, a Corrosion-Corrosion Fruit user whose power rivals any Navy Admiral. The Army maintains two Admirals and one Marshal!"
