The rest of the afternoon was a blur of sun, sand, and absolute chaos.
The volleyball game was intense. Taguro didn't play fair; every time his doppelganger spiked the ball, a crack of thunder echoed across the beach, leaving scorch marks in the sand.
But the real match was between Bombom and DragonSlayer.
DragonSlayer was playing out of his mind, diving for every ball, clearly trying to show off while aggressively refusing to make eye contact with Bombom's bikini-clad form. During one intense rally, Bombom dove gracefully, bumping the ball up perfectly. As he popped back up, sandy and triumphant, he bumped straight into DragonSlayer's chest.
For a split second, time stopped. They were inches apart, panting, the sound of the ocean fading away. DragonSlayer looked down at Bombom, his edgy facade crumbling, the memory of the birthday party flashing between them.
"I-I got the ball," DragonSlayer stammered, quickly stepping back and adjusting his eyepatch furiously.
