Chapter 8 - fire vs water

The team was completely shaken.

Jalpri: "How did this happen…?"

Laitho: "This… this is the strongest creation of the mountain."

(The lion's eyes glowed with a full spectrum of colors.)

NiZo: "There must be a way to defeat it…"

Koku: "I'm not ready to die yet!"

Zimi suddenly starts laughing hard.

Zimi: "Don't worry! I saw on the news that it's going to rain today—100% chance!"

(Everyone—NiZo, Laitho, Zama, Hanu, Koku—looks at her with blank, slightly pissed expressions.)

Zimi: "What… what happened?"

Jalpri: "We're above the clouds… Rain can't reach this height. You're so… innocent."

NiZo: "This isn't innocence. It's carelessness."

The lion lets out a thunderous roar.

Jalpri hands a sword to Hanu.

Hanu: "I… I don't know how to use this. Give it to NiZo, he's a way better fighter."

NiZo: "No, give it to Zama. He's stronger than me."

Jalpri: "Zama, you'll only be able to use it like a normal sword… But the real power, only Hanu can unlock it. He was the first to touch the blue ice stone."

Hanu (nervously): "How am I supposed to fight with this?"

Jalpri (firmly, placing the sword in his hands): "You are… our last hope."

Hanu hesitantly walks toward the lion.

Koku: "He already survived once… but I don't think he'll get lucky again."

Hanu: "Can you stop scaring me?!"

The lion charges. Hanu narrowly dodges.

Jalpri: "The sword has increased his strength and speed significantly."

But the lion lets out a devastating roar.

Hanu is blown back, crashing into a tree, nearly unconscious.

Hanu (weakly): "I'm sorry… I couldn't protect anyone…"

Everyone watches in disappointment as the lion walks closer to the team.

Zama signals everyone to run to the mountain's top and silently promises he'll hold the lion off for at least a minute.

Koku: "Zama, I'm not leaving you behind!"

The lion jumps toward Koku. Zama quickly eats a fruit to double his stamina and pushes Koku aside.

The lion smashes its claw into the ground, creating a 300-meter-wide circle of fire. They were trapped.

Jalpri: "Now… I truly believe in you, Hanu."

The lion prepares a fire blast.

Suddenly, from behind the lion—

A massive tsunami rises and slams into the beast.

Jalpri: "The Ancient Power… it's awakening."

The lion is thrown back. Hanu, now standing beneath a tree, speaks coldly:

Hanu: "Don't you dare touch my friends…"

(His voice and body seem… different. Like someone—or something—else has taken over.)

The lion slams the ground, erupting a pillar of magma under Hanu.

But Hanu slices through it in mid-air.

The shattered rocks fall on the lion, damaging it.

Jalpri watches closely. Hanu's shadow isn't human.

Jalpri (with a mix of awe and hope): "The Water Guardian…"

The lion strikes Hanu again.

Hanu blocks with his sword but is flung high into the air.

Laitho: "No matter how strong he is… his body can't survive that fall."

But suddenly, Hanu descends from the sky—

Riding the dragon, surrounded by 3–4 fairies.

The lion and dragon clash mid-air.

This time, both are hurt. All three creatures fall, dust fills the air.

In the haze, one shadow remains standing—

The lion.

The beast, wounded but furious, begins charging at the team.

As it leaps—

A massive fountain of water erupts from below, engulfing the lion in a crashing wave.

The lion falls. Silent.

Hanu walks in from behind, his expression calm.

Hanu (in a deep, divine tone):

"Didn't I say… don't lay a finger on my friends?"
