Chapter 1 - My Dad Isn't the Person He Wants to Be in Front of Others

A loving daughter asks her dad something and says,

"You're a wonderful dad. Anyone would love to have you."

The dad smiles a little and replies,

"You are also a cute and good daughter anyone would love to have."

She hugs him tightly, saying,

"I don't want to lose you."

---

Many weeks later, she comes back from school and sees a person in her house completely covered in white clothes. She asks her mother,

"Why is this person covered with white clothes?"

Her mum holds back her tears and says to her,

"Our papa is gone… he took his own life this afternoon."

The little girl starts crying, trying to go near the covered person, but her mum holds her back, saying,

"Daddy is gone… and there's nothing we can do about it."

The girl stands there, emotional, seeing her dead father being taken away by the police.

After many days, she sees her father buried in the ground where everyone—her grandparents, her mom, and his friends—are crying in sadness. Everyone is bursting into tears.

---

Many years later, when she turns 18 years old, she finds a copy in her father's old room in a dusty place.

She opens the copy, and the story takes place…

---

A young boy is playing hide and seek with his parents.

He doesn't find his parents anywhere until he finally says,

"I lost."

His parents come out from behind the door, laughing and saying to him,

"You lost again, son!"

He looks annoyed and says,

"Because you both are teaming!"

His father decides to take his turn to find them. After some time, his father also can't find them and says out loud in the house,

"I lost!"

His son comes out from under a table, teasing him,

"Now you understand why I couldn't find you guys when it was my turn!"

His father laughs,

"Yeah, yeah… you're right about that."

All of them start laughing together until his mom asks them to come to the kitchen so she can cook food for them.

The boy tells his dad his stomach is feeling heavy, so he'll go take a shit in the toilet.

He goes to the toilet, but he doesn't feel like it's coming, so he decides to go to the kitchen.

Just as he's about to say something to his dad, he hears both of his parents talking…

They talk about how much they hate him, that he's not the kind of son they want—

Not intelligent or talented like they expected.

They say they got the worst son who just plays games all the time instead of studying.

His dad punches the table in anger, saying,

"I don't want a son like that ever in my life!"

His mum nods and says,

"Yeah… he's not a son we should have born in the first place. We should've sent him to an orphanage when we had the chance back then."

The boy secretly goes to his room with tears in his eyes and slams his face into a pillow, crying,

"Am I such a bad son…? My own family doesn't want me… they hate me… just for being born in this house…"

---

After some time, he goes back to the kitchen.

His parents ask him why he was taking so long in the toilet, and he just says,

"My stomach was really bad this time."

His mum goes to him and grabs his stomach, saying,

"Are you feeling better or not? We'll take you to the hospital if you're still not feeling well."

But he remembers his mum's earlier words…

He just waves his head and says,

"No… my stomach's okay."

He goes back to the table and asks his mum to give him some food—acting like nothing happened.

---

Many years later, when he's in high school and has made many friends there, he asks one of his friends,

"Should we all come to my house to play a game together?"

His friends agree.

The next day, all of them go to his house but don't find him there. They think maybe he's not home and decide to play games without him.

While laughing, one of them says,

"If he didn't give us his toys and stuff to play with… we would've never been friends with him."

The rest agree,

"Yeah… he's a loser. Not like us. And his behavior… it's so weird when he cries like a baby when he gets hurt at school."

One of them jokes,

"He's more of a girl… the way he screamed and cried in school after getting hurt… even though he has a boy's body."

After some hours, they all decide to go home.

One of them sees an audio recording device and slams it on the wall, saying,

"This thing's broken."

---

The boy comes home after shopping at the supermarket and finds the audio recorder on the ground.

"Huh… why is this thing here?"

He accidentally presses a button and hears… everything his friends said about him.

When the recording ends…

He slams the device so hard on the ground that it cracks all over the place.

Crying with anger in his eyes, he says,

"Why does everyone I know in life… hate me… or use me for their benefits?"

He rubs his eyes, still crying, and says,

"I only want one person… just one person in life who will stay with me… without wanting anything… but everyone… everyone is just selfish… I'm nothing more than a toy for them… something they can toss around…"

---

The next day at school, one of his friends asks,

"Why weren't you at your house? We were all waiting for you."

He just smiles and says,

"I was at the supermarket… so I couldn't come home sooner."

His friend asks,

"We'll come again tomorrow, right? You better be there."

He just nods… saying nothing.

---

Many years later, still in high school, he finds a beautiful girl.

Both of them start dating and have been in a relationship for over 2 years.

He decides to propose to her for marriage.

---

He goes to her house with a ring and a gift…

But when he arrives, no one's home.

Just as he's about to leave, he hears a phone call ringing.

He picks up her phone but misses the call.

The screen shows: "Emily Bestie"

He remembers how often his girlfriend would talk about her bestie…

Suddenly, a text pops up:

"Hey… why don't you come to my house for that wild ride again 😘"

He drops the phone in disbelief,

"No… this… this must be a joke… her bestie's playing with her…"

But then… he opens the message history.

His face turns pale with shock and anger.

"She's been doing this… for over a year… kept it a secret… always giving the excuse she was at her best friend's house for studying… but this is what she was doing behind my back…"

---

He decides to leave.

But just then… she comes home.

She asks him,

"Why are you here all of a sudden?"

Then… she sees the gift and the ring in his hand.

Tears fill her eyes.

"You dummy… this is why you came here…!"

He's about to say something… but he says nothing.

He just nods in silence.

She hugs him tightly,

"How sweet of you… doing this for our wonderful future… we'll be so happy after marriage…"

But inside… he just clutches the ring tightly in his hand.

---

Present Time…

The daughter reads the final page of the diary.

Her father's last words:

"In my whole life… the people I believed to be my family, my friends… they used me… or didn't want me in their lives. I hate that… ever since I was a kid. I kept pretending everything was fine… that everyone loved me… but that wasn't how it worked… and I can't take it anymore… these fake people pretending they care… but in reality… they never did. Today… I'm going to die. Not because of me… but because of them. I should have died a long time ago… instead of pretending everything was fine… when they were all lying… making me believe they were happy to be with me… but none of them were… not from the start… and I don't regret dying…"

---

Her tears fall on the diary page.

Anger fills her eyes.

"They took my father's life from me… and ruined his entire life… from birth… he shouldn't have been treated like that…"

She drops the copy on the table… tears and sadness filling her face.

She folds her hands and prays to him,

"Father… you didn't deserve this… and I hate that they're still pretending… even in your death…"

She keeps the copy back in the dirty place where she found it and whispers,

"I'm really sorry for you, Father… you were a great dad… and a good person… who never deserved what they did to you…"
