Chapter 163 - Ch.163 : Finally Melted and Noisy Reporter

Kaela felt something strange in her chest, and when she looked back, her heart was beating even faster.

"What is this... why does that person look different..." Kaela said while pinching her own cheek.

Nic forcefully took Kaela's hammer and gave her a lunch box that he had bought earlier.

"Rest and eat. I'll do the work," Nic said.

Kaela slumped, exhausted because her stamina was genuinely depleted. Finally, she gave up and accepted the food from Nic.

"But why do you have to do my work? Aren't you the owner of the project?" Kaela asked.

Nic explained that he was just bored and could do things like this.

Nic activated the God of Builder skill and immediately began construction along with the others very quickly.

The other builders stared blankly, seeing Nic so agile and meticulous. Nic did almost all the work, leaving the other builders unable to contribute.

One of the builders wondered, "Isn't he the new guy Kinna said was holding the project? Why is he working instead..."

Everyone just shook their heads, confused, and because they felt awkward, they did whatever they could.

Meanwhile, Kaela, who had finished eating, fell asleep from exhaustion.

Then suddenly, the builder who usually bossed Kaela around, Zay.. returned from his break. It turned out he had gone home to rest.

"Hey! Who told you to sleep? Shouldn't you be working!!" Zay, the builder, shouted.

Kaela was startled, thinking it was Nic, and when she saw him, Kaela immediately felt lazy.

"What is it... I'm tired from doing your part earlier," Kaela said.

Zay immediately scolded her, but someone shouted at Zay, and it was Nic.

Nic was holding Kaela's hammer, and Zay assumed Nic was a builder who asked Kaela to take over temporarily.

"Oh... how dare you? Didn't I tell you that other builders shouldn't interfere with our business?" Zay looked at Nic sharply.

"Your business? Kaela's problem is my problem too," Nic said casually.

"Eh?" Kaela was surprised.

Meanwhile, Zay was confused. "Your problem? Who the hell are you, idiot? I'm Kaela's older brother!!"

Nic laughed. "Haha, did Kaela not tell you who I am? Nice to meet you, I'm Kaela's boyfriend!"

"EHHHH!?" Kaela was shocked and confused, but her mouth couldn't deny it.

"Huh? BOYFRIEND!?" Zay was furious and stared at Kaela.

Nic nodded, then Zay approached Nic and grabbed Nic's collar, glaring.

"BASTARD! SINCE WHEN? NO ONE IS ALLOWED TO DATE KAELA!" Zay shouted, pushing Nic.

But Nic immediately pushed him back, causing Zay to fall to the ground. Zay was shocked by Nic's immense strength.

"Calm down when you speak. Why are you controlling your own sister? You even treat her like a slave," Nic crouched in front of Zay.

Zay immediately grabbed sand and threw it into Nic's eyes, then tried to run away, but Nic was calm, not flinching even a little when the sand was thrown, and held Zay's hand.

"Where are you going? First, explain why you keep ordering your sister around... just so there's no misunderstanding," Nic said.

"It's my business! She's my own sister, you don't need to know!" Zay said.

A moment later, Kinna arrived because she had heard from the builders that the store was expected to be finished tomorrow because Nic had helped them quickly.

"Nic, why are you working? I feel bad," Kinna said, approaching Nic.

But suddenly, Zay shouted, "Ah, finally the owner of the project is here. Tell your builder not to interfere with our business!"

"Huh?" Kinna looked at Nic, and Nic just gave a small laugh.

"Oh, it seems I wasn't here when you arrived. This is Nic, the new boss who owns this project," Kinna said.

Zay was silent. "How could this be... hey Kaela! Why didn't you tell me earlier!"

However, Kaela was just silent and aloof as usual; she was bolder this time.

"Damn it... ah, I apologize then... I'll continue working," Zay said snidely.

But Nic told him to stop. "I'm sorry, but you're fired."

"What!? Hey... please reconsider, Boss... I just didn't know earlier, and Kaela and I just have family issues, so isn't it normal??" Zay tried to negotiate.

"Don't worry, I'll still pay you," Nic said.

"Eh? Really?" Zay's face immediately brightened as if payment was important to him.

"Yup, but you must genuinely agree to be fired and apologize to Kaela for your behavior," Nic said.

Zay quickly apologized to Kaela and immediately accepted being fired after he received the money, which made Nic wonder.

After that, Nic asked Kaela about Zay.

"Zay is actually my step-brother. He is temperamental, but he's not that bad. Our family is a mess, so we decided to earn money together because our skills are the same in the builder field, but his attitude makes me a little annoyed because he always burdens me... well, I don't hate him, he's just annoying," Kaela said.

"Hmm, I see... you said your family is a mess. Do you need a second family to rest? I mean, a place where you can rest and relax with people who will treat you like family," Nic said, looking up at the sky.

"Is there really a place like that... and even if there is, I probably wouldn't fit in. I'm used to being alone and aloof in every situation..." Kaela said, playing with the sand.

Nic laughed. "Haha, it's normal for you to think like that, but what's certain is that if you feel you don't fit in... they will make you feel like you do! You're aloof? That's fine because the people in it are diverse."

"Why are you so insistent with me? We just met, and what's so good about me?" Kaela asked, confused.

"Your builder skill is good, and why I'm insistent on approaching you is because you're lucky to be chosen to enter a solid circle, haha."

After that, Kaela and Nic continued chatting until Kaela finally softened, and Nic brought her to Unity City. Nic also invited Kinna along.

But Nic was surprised to see several frantic paparazzi and reporters in front of Unity City. They seemed to want to cover the city.

"Wow, it's so crowded. What's going on, Nic?" Kaela asked.

"It looks like there's news coverage," Kinna said.

Then Nic led Kinna and Kaela through a secret path the clean underground road.

---

Meanwhile, in front of Unity City, guarded by the leader of the SHF gang, Albert, he was confused.

"YES, SO WE ARE NOW IN THE DEAD CITY THAT HAS COME BACK TO LIFE AS A COOL AND BEAUTIFUL NEW CITY! WE ARE HERE IN FRONT OF UNITY CITY, AND WITH US IS THE LEADER OF THE SOUTHERN HELL FOREST GANG, IT SEEMS HE IS THE GUARD HERE! MR. ALBERT, CAN WE GO INSIDE?" The reporter's noisy voice made Albert's ears hurt.

"Are you all here to cover this city? So complicated," Albert said.

"COME ON, MR. ALBERT, WE JUST WANT TO BROADCAST UNITY CITY TO THE ENTIRE SOUTHERN," the reporter said.

Then the shouts of "Let us in" boomed from the reporter and the paparazzi.

Then Cecilia arrived. "DON'T BE SO LOUDDDDDDDDDDDDDD," Cecilia's scream overpowered all their shouting.

Everyone fell silent, but the one reporter still shouted in front of Cecilia.

"OHH, NOW THERE IS ANOTHER GANG LEADER FROM DEADLY POISON! THE SNAKE CECILIA!! MISS CECILIA, THE BEAUTIFUL ONE, PLEASE LET US IN," the reporter said right in front of Cecilia's face.

Cecilia felt challenged, and her veins popped. "DON'T TALK LIKE THAT! DON'T SHOUT!!"

"I CAN'T! MISS CECILIA IS SHOUTING TOO, SO I HAVE TO SHOUT WOHAHAH."

Cecilia got more annoyed and was about to pull the reporter's hair, but Cynthia came and pulled her away.

"Ahaha, my sweet child, calm down... it's embarrassing to be seen by people," Cynthia said while covering Cecilia's mouth.
