Chapter 12 - Chapter 12: Physical Enhancement and an Unexpected Encounter

Chen Fan returned to his apartment, closing the door behind him. The morning light streamed through the window, illuminating the special ticket in his hand: the Physical Enhancement Ticket. It looked like an ordinary plastic card, but it emitted a faint, mysterious glow.

"Ding! Detecting item 'Physical Enhancement Ticket'. This item will help Host enhance physical strength, reaction speed, and stamina to a new level, far surpassing the limits of ordinary people."

"Does Host wish to use it immediately?"

"Use it," Chen Fan said without hesitation. With his Late Qi Refining cultivation, his strength already far exceeded ordinary people, but further physical enhancement was always a good thing. Especially since he would have to face many situations requiring quick reflexes and endurance.

Immediately, the ticket melted into a stream of white light, enveloping Chen Fan's body. He felt a warm energy spread throughout his entire being; every muscle fiber, every blood vessel, bone, and joint was being regenerated and strengthened. This sensation wasn't painful like when absorbing the Immortal Spirit Dew, but very pleasant, like bathing in a hot spring.

After a few minutes, the light gradually faded. Chen Fan stood up, feeling his entire body brimming with vitality. He swung his arm, and a gentle breeze cut through the air. He tried jumping in place; his whole body felt light, and his speed and flexibility increased significantly.

"Ding! Host has used 'Physical Enhancement Ticket'. Physical attributes have been comprehensively enhanced!"

Chen Fan clenched his fists. He felt like he could now easily run faster than professional athletes and react quicker than a top martial artist. This was a perfect complement to his cultivation strength.

He checked the System's control panel again.

Name: Chen Fan Cultivation: Late Qi Refining (300/2000 EXP) Physical Attributes: Enhanced (Far Surpassing Ordinary People) Spiritual Root: Supreme Grade Cultivation Technique: Heavenly Dao Decree (First Layer)Skills: Initial-Grade Heavenly Eye Technique Items: Initial-Grade Cosmos Bag (10m³ capacity), 30 Low-Grade Spirit Stones

He was satisfied with his progress. The "Eradicate Urban Evildoers" quest was complete, earning him EXP and Spirit Stones. Now, he needed to continue focusing on the main quest: Earn 1,000 billion VND in 5 years.

Chen Fan took out his phone, checking economic news. He needed to find more potential investment opportunities besides TechForge Innovations. The "god-tier knowledge" in his mind continuously analyzed data, providing accurate predictions about market trends and companies about to rise or fall.

He spent the entire morning researching the market, drawing up detailed plans for his next steps. Not just limiting himself to tech investments, he also began to consider other areas like real estate, stocks, and even traditional industries with potential for explosive growth in the near future.

Knock, knock.

A knock sounded at the door. Chen Fan was slightly surprised. He had just moved here; not many people knew him.

He opened the door. Standing before him was an elegant middle-aged woman with a benevolent face, smiling gently. Beside her was a little girl of about five, with large, innocent eyes staring at Chen Fan.

"Hello. I'm Liu Mei, your neighbor across the hall. I saw you just moved in, so I made some pastries and brought them over to say hello. I hope you don't mind." Liu Mei said, her voice soft, offering a plate of fragrant pastries.

Chen Fan was slightly taken aback. In his past life, he had never had such kind neighbors. He smiled back: "Oh, hello, Ms. Liu. It's nice to meet you. I'm Chen Fan. Thank you for the pastries."

He took the plate. A sweet aroma wafted through the air.

Liu Mei smiled gently: "It's nothing. You're new, so you might not be familiar with everything yet. If you need any help, just let me know. And this is my daughter, Xiao Yun."

Little Xiao Yun hid behind her mother's leg, but her curious eyes still stared at Chen Fan.

"Hello, Xiao Yun," Chen Fan said softly.

"Hello, Uncle!" Xiao Yun chirped.

Liu Mei and Xiao Yun stayed for a few minutes, chatting, then bid farewell. Chen Fan closed the door, feeling a little warmth in his heart. This was a feeling he rarely experienced in his past life—kindness from strangers.

He returned to his desk. The sweet scent of pastries lingered in the air. He knew his life had truly turned a new page. No longer the loneliness and bitterness of the past. He would build a new, grander life and would never let anyone harm the kind people around him again.
