Chapter 403 - Chapter 403: Danzo’s Death Place

In the Land of Iron, inside a luxurious mansion.

"Madara-sama, Hashirama-san, I've come to see you!" Renya walked into the courtyard with a big smile.

He couldn't survive in Konohagakure anymore.

For now, he could only lie low here, wait for things to cool down, then return later.

Otherwise, he would definitely be held accountable by the furious Senju Tobirama and Uchiha Tanaka.

It would damage the reputation of both the Senju and Uchiha clans.

If they didn't get at least several billion in compensation, this matter wouldn't be settled.

If he had known earlier, he would've been more subtle and not mentioned the exact clans of the male and female leads.

"Renya, you finally came to see us!"

Senju Hashirama and Uchiha Madara were lying in the yard sunbathing. When Hashirama saw Renya arriving, he excitedly sat up from his chair.

Not long ago in the Land of Whirlpools, he wanted to go out and meet Renya.

But there were always Anbu from Konohagakure around, so there was no chance to meet privately.

He could only watch helplessly as Renya and the others left.

"Aren't I here to see you now?"

Renya smiled and lay down on the lounger beside Hashirama.

This chair was bought a few years ago.

Unexpectedly, the two of them never put it away and kept it as it was.

"How long do you plan to stay this time?"

Uchiha Madara turned his head and looked at Renya who had just lain down.

If he hadn't failed to awaken the Rinnegan, how could this kid be so carefree?

Honestly, he felt like he was always just a bit short.

It had been more than twenty years since he stitched Hashirama's flesh into himself.

Yet he still hadn't awakened the Rinnegan.

Madara was annoyed by this — if things continued, he wouldn't be able to personally execute the "Infinite Tsukuyomi" plan.

Over the years, his strength had significantly declined.

However, deep down, he had a premonition.

Maybe, very soon, those eyes would awaken!

"I plan to stay here for a few months."

Renya put on his sunglasses, hands behind his head, enjoying the sunbath.

Uchiha Madara and Senju Hashirama looked surprised, as if they didn't expect him to stay so long.

"Renya, be honest — did you cause trouble in the village?" Senju Hashirama asked curiously.

Otherwise, there was no explanation for Renya staying that long.

And Tobirama would never allow Renya to leave the village for months.

Unless he caused big trouble and then secretly slipped away from Tobirama.

Hashirama knew his younger brother's nature too well.

Renya's mouth twitched, and his heart skipped a beat.

When did Hashirama-san become smart?

He pretended nothing happened and laughed it off.

"Of course not, I just wanted to come see you."

"Really?" Senju Hashirama looked suspicious. He felt like this kid wasn't telling the truth.

"Of course it's real. When have I ever lied to you?"

There was no way he could tell the truth — he could only insist on his excuse.

Fortunately, Hashirama-san was easy to fool, and seeing this, he didn't ask further.

"Kid, since you're here, then come spar with me."

Uchiha Madara suddenly spoke in a deep tone.

Over the years, Madara clearly felt his strength deteriorating badly, and he wanted to fight Renya.

To know just how far he had fallen.

Senju Hashirama and Renya were both dumbfounded.

"Me?" Renya pointed at himself blankly.

What was up with Madara-sama today?

Why did he suddenly want to spar?

"That's right, fight me!"

Uchiha Madara got up, towering over Renya, then removed his sunglasses, revealing a pair of scarlet three-tomoe Sharingan.

"Madara, that's not a good idea, right?" Senju Hashirama said weakly.

His best friend was old now, and he might really lose to Renya.

If he lost, knowing his temperament, he would definitely brood over it alone.

"Hashirama, this has nothing to do with you."

Uchiha Madara snorted coldly, his eyes never leaving Renya.

"Kid, will you or won't you?"

"No problem at all." Renya grinned brightly.

Though he didn't understand Madara-sama's reason, this was a good chance to test his current strength.

If Madara-sama was too weak…

Then sorry — he would have to punch his Infinite Tsukuyomi dream into pieces!

After decades of patience, whether he could succeed depended on today.

Even if he lost — he could wait another ten years.

Right now, Madara-sama could still be considered strong despite his age.

Renya truly wasn't sure of the outcome.

"Then follow me." Uchiha Madara turned and left.

"Renya, why did you agree?" Senju Hashirama sounded a bit upset.

If Madara lost, it would definitely be troublesome.

He felt that Renya, having awakened the Mangekyō Sharingan and still being young…

While Madara was already around sixty…

The young beat the old — that was the truth.

He wasn't confident his friend could win.

"Renya, if Madara can't keep up later, remember to hold back."

Senju Hashirama leaned closer and whispered into Renya's ear.

"Madara is someone who cares a lot about reputation. You get what I mean?"

"I understand, Hashirama-san." Renya nodded.

"Hashirama!" Uchiha Madara's voice from ahead was icy cold.

"Hahaha, coming!"

Hashirama scratched his head awkwardly and hurried after him.

Looks like his little scheme was discovered.

They couldn't choose a town as the battleground — they needed a deserted place.

Otherwise, it would be bad if someone saw.

Renya followed Uchiha Madara for a long stretch, and suddenly he felt the stone bridge ahead looked familiar.

He subconsciously stopped and looked around.

Wasn't this the place in the original story where Sasuke walked Danzo to his death?

The stone bridge in front obviously looked newly repaired.

He didn't expect it to be restored already at this time.

Tsk tsk, if he'd known he would've brought a camera.

Then he could stick the photo in the Hokage's office later.

The technological tree in the ninja world was growing strangely.

But cameras already existed.

Renya bought a few a couple years back.

"What's wrong, Renya?" Senju Hashirama asked curiously.

How could Renya just stare blankly at a stone bridge like that?

"Nothing." Renya shook his head, dismissing the thought.

He'd come back later to take pictures when he had time.

Danzo's future death place — quite commemorative.

He planned to purchase this bridge when he returned.

Then put a sign on it.

Words like:

[I miss you at the bridge] or

[I'm accompanying you on a walk at the bridge].

Uchiha Madara saw the mischievous smile on Renya's face and frowned slightly.

This kid was definitely up to no good again.

But he didn't really care — the spar was the main objective.

"Let's go, kid."

"Coming, Madara-sama."

Renya responded, took one last glance at the Four Elephants Bridge, then followed.

Soon, Uchiha Madara led Renya to a barren mountain range.

"Here will do."

Uchiha Madara turned back and looked at Renya, who appeared eager, and his mouth twitched.

This kid seemed a bit too excited?
