Chapter 107 - The Fall Before the Phantom King

The world was chaos. The battlefield was no longer a battlefield—it was a broken planet. Mountains had been flattened, oceans boiled into steam, and the sky itself cracked like shattered glass under the weight of the clash.

Velzard, Velgrynd, Guy, Milim, Diablo, Testarossa, Ultima, and Carrera stood powered up beyond anything they had shown before. Their energy was so bright, so violent, that each of them looked like gods standing at the edge of creation. Their speed had sharpened, their precision perfected, their aura shaking everything.

And still—Vorathis stood smiling.

His cloak whipped in the storm, six phantom wings glowing with demonic light. He tilted his head back, laughter rolling out of his throat, deep, mocking, terrifying.

On the side, Veldora stood calmly, arms folded, golden eyes tracking everything. He did not interfere, not yet. His presence alone carried the weight of a king.

A few steps further back, Saiki Kusuo sat invisible, eating coffee jelly out of a plastic cup like nothing was happening. His deadpan voice hummed through the silence of his barrier.

"Yeah… this is definitely an isekai anime. Explosions, dragons, demons, unbeatable boss fight… I'm basically watching season finale right now."

Velzard was the first to move. Her hands swept the air, and a storm of absolute-zero spears erupted, so sharp that even space cracked when they flew.

Velgrynd followed instantly, her body igniting into crimson fire that swirled with the speed of a cyclone. She screamed as she shot forward, her fist wrapped in a burning phoenix flame that melted everything in its path.

Guy raised both arms, chaos spirals twisting into a beam that looked like a dragon made of collapsing stars.

Milim roared, her fists glowing gold, as she slammed her body forward like a meteor, a living explosion of primal draconic rage.

Diablo spread his arms, abyssal chains bursting from nothingness, lashing across the battlefield like vipers of hell.

Testarossa spun with elegance, her white flame sword cutting the sky, leaving behind trails of disintegration.

Ultima clapped her hands and hundreds of crimson eyes appeared, each firing lasers of corrosive annihilation that carved through mountains like paper.

Carrera laughed wildly, summoning emerald cannons the size of castles, blasting energy so violent the earth broke apart beneath her feet.

Their combined attack was a symphony of destruction. The entire horizon became white from the explosion.

When the light cleared—Vorathis was still there. His cloak was torn, his cheek bled, but his grin was wider than ever. His voice thundered like a demon's hymn:

"Beautiful. Absolutely beautiful. But your greatest storm is only a whisper against me."

Then—he vanished.

Velzard was first. A sudden black flash appeared above her. Vorathis' fist, wrapped in collapsing shadow, slammed into her chest. The shockwave shattered glaciers and sent her body crashing into the ground, leaving behind a crater kilometers wide.

"VELZARD!" Velgrynd roared. She burned hotter, faster, spinning flames into a spiral strike. But Vorathis appeared behind her, palm glowing with mixed fire and shadow. He slammed it into her back—BOOM! She screamed as she fell, flames scattering into dying embers.

Milim's eyes burned with rage. "YOU WON'T GET AWAY WITH THIS!" She launched herself, fists glowing, aiming straight for his head. Vorathis let her hit him—then grabbed her arm mid-swing. With a twisted grin, he spun and smashed her into the ground so hard the continent itself shook.

Now only the demons and Guy remained.

Guy, Diablo, Testarossa, Ultima, and Carrera looked at each other, all silently agreeing: they would strike together. Their combined auras roared, colors colliding—chaos, abyss, white flame, crimson annihilation, emerald destruction. They screamed as they poured everything into one colossal, final attack.

The explosion blinded the world. A dome of energy consumed everything, turning sky and earth into nothingness.

They landed, breathing heavily, staring into the smoke. Diablo muttered, voice low but hopeful:

"It must be enough… it has to be."

But then—laughter. Horrible, echoing, mocking. The smoke parted, and Vorathis walked out, body glowing, eyes shining with pure madness.

"Enough? No, no… this is only foreplay."

In an instant, he vanished.

He appeared behind Ultima. She barely turned her head before his leg swept across, kicking her with such force that her body became a red streak crashing into the far mountains.

"ULTIMA!" Carrera roared. She launched at him in rage, fists burning emerald. But Vorathis appeared in front of her, his fist glowing with condensed black energy.

"Sleep."

He slammed it into her stomach. Carrera's eyes widened, blood splattering from her lips as she collapsed unconscious.

Testarossa leapt next, her white flame sword raised high. "I will not fall!" she screamed. But Vorathis was already behind her. His palm glowed with shadow flame, and with one touch, an explosion of demonic magic sent her flying miles away, her scream echoing across the land.

Now only Guy and Diablo stood.

They faced him, standing shoulder to shoulder. Diablo's abyssal aura rose like a kingdom of fire, and Guy's chaos surged, twisting the air.

Vorathis grinned, licking blood from his lip.

"Good. Stand tall. But this ends now."

He blurred. Faster than thought.

Diablo swung, but Vorathis' hand caught his wrist and twisted—CRACK! Diablo's body slammed into the dirt.

Guy unleashed a chaos punch, but Vorathis sidestepped, his elbow slamming into Guy's ribs—BOOM! Guy coughed blood, staggering.

Then both were struck by a single wave of energy that sent them spiraling into the ground, unconscious.

Silence. The battlefield was ruins, the heroes broken, lying across craters and torn earth.

Only Veldora still stood, calm, his piercing golden eyes never leaving Vorathis.

Saiki, spoon still in his mouth, sighed as he finished his jelly.

"Welp. Guess the boss fight just unlocked phase two. Classic anime pacing."

Vorathis turned slowly, his grin aimed directly at Veldora.

"Wise King… shall we begin?"
