Chapter 244 - [244] The Mystic Eyes of Death Perception! Slaying Kronos [1]

At this moment, Nameless, having gathered and fused the blessings of the Twelve Olympian Gods, became the absolute center of attention.

Amid Hermes's celebratory proclamation, the gods all fixed their burning gazes upon him.

Even the deities were curious to see just how far he could go.

After all, from the very beginning, the gods had been at odds, scheming and opposing one another.

It was unthinkable for their powers to converge into a single individual.

Yet now, this Master from another dimension—Nameless—had accomplished the impossible.

A miracle!

Countless onlookers couldn't contain their excitement—

-[Nameless has now gathered the blessings of all twelve Olympian gods, surpassing divinity to become the King of Heroes. Just how terrifying will his combat prowess be!]

-[This is truly the first of his kind across all ages—even Zeus couldn't unite the power of all the gods!]

-[The ultimate decisive battle begins! Those towering giants are enormous—how the hell do you fight them?]

-[Damn, this is a real mythic war, even more absurd than Uruk! The sheer destruction is apocalyptic!]

-[Quick, go to the Land of Light in the M78 Nebula and fetch Ultraman!]

...

Egypt.

Within the Radiant Great Temple Complex.

Ramesses II watched the footage, legs crossed arrogantly. "A battle of myths? A hero surpassing the gods? Hmph. I am the true King of the Sun!"

In Egyptian mythology, he was the rightful incarnation of the sun god Ra—his name already standing above all deities.

"My name is Ozymandias! King of Kings! Behold my works, ye mighty gods, and despair!"

This was Ramesses II's eternal proclamation.

Even the proudest King of Heroes addressed him as an equal, calling him the "Golden King" while he in turn referred to the other as the "Sun King"—the two supreme rulers acknowledging each other's peerless majesty.

Watching the stunned Greek gods in the footage, Ramesses II lamented not being present.

Had he been there, would Nameless have been allowed to steal the spotlight?

Just then, a voice spoke beside him—

"You are far inferior to Nameless in the footage. He is the one truly favored by destiny!"

"I am inferior to Nameless? Ridiculous! Need I remind you that it was I who severed the Holy Lance during the battle against the Lion King, giving Nameless the chance to face her?"

Ramesses II replied with deep displeasure.

As the proud and indomitable King of Kings, he would tolerate no disrespect.

…Wait, who was speaking?

Nitocris stood before him, staring in shock at his side—clearly not the one who had spoken.

???

Ramesses II turned his head and saw a towering old man clad in black heavy armor, gripping a massive greatsword, standing silently beside him.

Instant bewilderment!

What the hell?! This is the temple of the Sun King, not your damn living room! How did you just waltz in here?!

Ramesses II straightened his posture slightly. "Do you truly believe Nameless can defeat Kronos, father of Zeus? Don't forget—he barely survived his battle against the Lion King!"

He subtly rested a hand on his neck, feeling an inexplicable chill.

"That is a man blessed by destiny, carrying the hopes of humanity upon his back. With the light of countless lives behind him, he cannot lose."

King Hassan's eyes gleamed with approval.

That young one had grown exponentially through each battle—truly his most outstanding student yet.

"That is the true King of Gods!" Ramesses II couldn't help retorting.

He styled himself the King of Kings, the God-King of the mortal world—yet this man had the audacity to claim that brat could defeat an actual divine monarch?!

King Hassan did not respond.

He remained still, hands resting on his sword, silently watching the footage.

"..."

Ramesses II decided that after this, he would thoroughly reinforce the temple's defenses.

Whose house is this, anyway?!

Under his conflicted gaze, the battle erupted in full.

Giants, each standing hundreds of meters tall, loomed like pillars piercing the heavens.

They uprooted mountains one after another, wielding them as weapons to launch frenzied attacks.

The earth trembled violently, utterly unable to withstand such terrifying assaults.

Countless weaker deities and heroes who couldn't evade in time were mercilessly crushed beneath the giants' onslaught.

On Mount Olympus.

The God of War, Ares, snorted coldly: "Afraid of mere giants? We suppressed them before—it'll be even easier now!"

"Be careful! Those giants have been enhanced in every way—they're much stronger than before!" Doctor Roman warned.

In Chaldea's monitoring systems.

The giants appeared as if they'd taken some kind of drug, their power multiplying several times over.

Their previous energy fluctuations were already on par with those of chief deities, possessing world-shattering destructive force.

"Hmph, you humans are truly cowardly!"

Ares sneered, "Bring me a barrel of wine to warm up—watch me defeat these lawless giants!"

As the God of War, retreat was not in his vocabulary.

Hummm!

His body became wreathed in endless, formidable crimson flames, causing his height to instantly surge from two meters to several dozen meters.

"I am the undefeated God of War! Charge!"

Under the gaze of countless deities and spectators, Ares transformed into a streak of crimson flame, charging straight into the midst of the giants.

Swinging his greatsword, he roared furiously: "Die!"

BOOM!

Brilliant light erupted from his blade's tip as a crimson mushroom cloud billowed upward, engulfing dozens of kilometers.

Giants that came charging at him were instantly grievously wounded and sent flying by his overwhelming attack.

"Come at me if you dare! Even while protecting Mount Olympus, I, Ares, remain invincible in this world!"

Holding his sword in one hand and shield in the other, Ares declared imperiously: "Deities shall not be insulted! Your escape from imprisonment and attempt to assault Mount Olympus could be forgiven. But take one more step forward, and I'll slaughter every last one of you!"

With each swing of his sword, heaven and earth overturned.

Giants were effortlessly swept aside, utterly unable to withstand the God of War's might.

Such terrifying power!

The scene left countless spectators dumbfounded—

-[Holy shit, is this the God of War's true strength?]

-[Damn, he's basically a walking nuclear arsenal—every swing is a nuke! The gods should be able to handle the giants, right?]

-[Seems pretty normal—last Singularity had even that useless goddess dropping planetary projections on people!]

-[Then why are Nameless and Chaldea so tense and on guard?]

...

Under countless awestruck gazes.

Ares fully unleashed his true form as the God of War, effortlessly mowing down swathes of giants.

Yet.

To the even greater shock of all observers, the giants that had been cleaved in half stubbornly pieced themselves back together.

And rose once more from the ground!

His earlier world-shaking attacks hadn't managed to kill a single giant!

They all possessed immortality!

At this moment.

Nameless suddenly stepped forward: "We at Chaldea previously developed a special herb mixture to counter the giants' immortality—coating weapons with it allows true kills by beheading them!"

Whoosh!

A vial of the solution flew toward Ares.

Catching it, he applied the mixture to his weapon and swung again—this time cleanly severing the head of a several-hundred-meter-tall giant.

This time, the giant did not rise again!

"Looks like we're winning—the Titans will be completely eliminated!" Apollo smiled brightly.

His opinion of the young man grew increasingly favorable.

Previously, the giants were suppressed in hell precisely because they couldn't be killed.

[Counter beats all, special attacks slay gods!]

The giants countered the gods, making it impossible for them to be slain.

But now, the special attack potion brought by the enemy was enough to completely exterminate the giants.

"I, Ares, am invincible!"

Ares' smile grew increasingly smug.

Since the giants could be killed, it meant he could slaughter them all.

Just then.

An enormous palm suddenly descended from the sky, slamming him violently into the ground!

Before Ares could even get up, fist after fist rained down upon him in a frenzy.

In the blink of an eye, dozens of fists smashed down from the heavens.

BOOM!

The entire earth shattered into pieces, utterly unable to withstand the onslaught.

The attacker was none other than a terrifying giant standing over a thousand meters tall.

It possessed a hundred dragon heads and a hundred arms, radiating boundless, overwhelming might.

The moment it appeared, the once invincible Ares was instantly pounded into the ground like a whack-a-mole.

Ares let out a terrified scream: "Zeus, save me!"

On Mount Olympus.

Apollo gasped in shock: "That's Typhon—no, it's Kronos!"

"Indeed, Kronos has devoured all the Titans, swallowed the King of Giants, and evolved into a monstrous existence surpassing the gods!"

The projected Dr. Roman was utterly stunned. "It already possesses combat power akin to that of a Beast of Humanity!"

Typhon, the infamous apocalyptic giant of Greek mythology.

Cerberus, the Chimera, the hundred-headed dragon Ladon, the Hydra—all were its offspring!

According to myth, it once seized the opportunity when Zeus was secretly meeting a nymph without his weapon [Thunderbolt], utterly defeating and suppressing him.

It tore out the sinews of the King of Gods, nearly killing him!

Only after Zeus barely escaped, retrieved the [Thunderbolt], and launched a counterattack was Typhon finally slain.

But now, under the temptation of the Demon King Goetia, Kronos—who had been sealed in hell—accepted the Holy Grail.

Using its immense energy, he devoured all the sealed Titans in one fell swoop.

Even Typhon was swallowed by him!

Having consumed numerous god-level beings, he underwent a transformation of terrifying proportions!

BOOM!

From each of Kronos' draconic heads, endless flames erupted simultaneously, setting the entire earth ablaze.

The once-solid rocky ground instantly turned into terrifying molten lava.

Its numerous dragon heads writhed through the clouds, transforming it into a true apocalyptic titan.

Countless spectators, who had just been marveling at the War God's divine might, now felt a chill run down their spines.

It was enormous!

So massive that it rivaled even the Primordial Mother Goddess Tiamat in size, standing like a towering mountain.

-[Does this thing have combat power comparable to a Beast of Humanity?]

-[We're screwed! Tiamat was holding back—she sealed herself the moment she appeared. This thing won't show any mercy!]

-[Damn, Typhon nearly killed Zeus, and Kronos almost did too—now these two have fused and evolved?!]

-[This is truly a battle of myths—how the hell is this so terrifying?! How can it even be defeated?]

-[No wonder Nameless had to gather the blessings of all the gods—otherwise, there'd be no hope at all!]
