As the light faded, Dorian found himself standing in a vast, open plain. The sky above was a deep shade of indigo, and the stars twinkled like diamonds against the darkness. He looked around, trying to get his bearings, but there was no sign of Kael or the temple.
Suddenly, a figure appeared before him. It was a woman with long, flowing hair and piercing green eyes. She wore a flowing white robe that seemed to shimmer in the starlight.
"Who are you?" Dorian asked, his voice barely above a whisper.
The woman smiled, and her eyes seemed to bore into Dorian's soul. "I am the guardian of the temple," she said. "And you, Dorian, are a chosen one."
Dorian's mind was reeling with questions, but the woman raised her hand, and he felt a sense of calm wash over him.
"You have been chosen to fulfill an important destiny," she said. "One that will require great courage and determination. But do not worry, for you have within you the power to succeed."
As the woman spoke, Dorian felt a surge of energy and confidence flow through him. He knew that he was ready to face whatever lay ahead, and he was eager to begin his journey.
The woman nodded, as if she could see the determination in Dorian's eyes. "Then let us begin," she said. "Your journey awaits."
And with that, the vision faded, and Dorian found himself back in the temple, standing beside Kael. But something was different. Dorian felt a sense of purpose and direction that he had never felt before, and he knew that his journey was just beginning.
