Chapter 190 - Emissary of Peace

Not long after Lucian gave his warning, both he and Robin landed in the designated safe zone—or, more precisely, in a plaza that was still relatively intact.

However, the surrounding buildings were riddled with bullet holes, and the air was thick with the stench of smoke and a faint trace of blood, which clearly showed that this place was not precisely safe.

Before long, children were led out from shelters and ruins by the soldiers, their faces carrying a mix of fear and confusion.

Lucian stood at a distance, silent as a mountain, his presence alone cutting off every potential threat as his cold gaze swept across the local military leaders and officers who were struggling to maintain their composure.

All of them could see a silent warning in his eyes—any hint of interference would be erased without hesitation.

Robin, upon seeing the children, took a deep breath to suppress the ache in her heart, then offered them her warmest smile before her ethereal voice rose, flowing across the scorched earth like a clear spring.

In that instant, the children's tense bodies slowly relaxed, and the emptiness in their eyes began to fill with light.

All of these events were quietly recorded by a war reporter and soon spread across the cosmos.

[The Price of Peace? The Terrifying Power Behind Robin! Who Truly Is Penacony's Dreammaster? Is He an Emanator?]

Rumors like these spread like wildfire, binding Robin's name to a kind of divine punishment—a 'peace' enforced by fear.

Her song had become the most effective catalyst for ceasefires, because everyone knew that defying the 'man' behind her did not lead to negotiations or political losses but led to total annihilation.

Behind Robin, the man known as the Emissary of Peace had become the greatest nightmare of every warlord, mercenary group, rebel force, and invader—a walking end to war itself.

Whenever Robin went to save the weak, the war had to stop, and no one was allowed to harm civilians afterward, since those who disobeyed were wiped out.

If both sides refused to listen?

Simple.

Both were erased—problem solved.

Thanks to the presence of war reporters on various warring planets, the news about Lucian and Robin spread quickly.

Across the various star systems, every civilization learned this iron rule:

Show respect—live.

Refuse—die.

"Unbelievable! Someone with the power to rule planets only uses it to back up Miss Robin?"

"Please, Lord Lucian, come conquer our planet too!"

"My homeland's been ravaged by invaders! Miss Robin, Lord Lucian, please—please save Kasbelina!"

Eventually, Lucian and Robin arrived at that very planet—the one where, in the original story, Robin would have been hit by a stray bullet in the neck and nearly died.

===

Kasbelina-VIII.

On this planet, the war was particularly brutal when compared to the others, drawing even the IPC's intervention forces.

Under the banners of 'maintaining order' and 'humanitarian aid,' the IPC had joined in with its true intent being to seize a share of the postwar spoils.

All the land in Kasbelina-VIII was divided into a jagged patchwork of battle zones as the IPC's troops, the government troops, and the rebel troops fought in chaotic three-way battles, each side backed by complex interplanetary powers.

At this point, the war had reached a stalemate, and the casualties were already reaching a horrific degree.

When Lucian and Robin's spaceship appeared at the edge of the star system where Kasbelina-VIII was located, the planet's entire communication network quickly exploded with a top-priority encrypted transmission.

[Alert! Robin and the Emissary of Peace are approaching!]

[Repeat!]

[Robin and the Emissary of Peace are approaching!]

[Coordinates: Kasbelina-VIII!]

[All units—cease fire immediately and unconditionally!]

Surprisingly, this top-priority encrypted transmission came from the IPC's warzone command center itself, filled with unprecedented urgency and fear.

Upon hearing the message, cold sweat beaded on the forehead of the government's supreme commander.

He remembered that the planet named Zeta-III, a planet that had waged war on its neighbors, had been erased without even a speck of dust left behind because the inhabitants had refused to listen to Lucian's warning.

"Quick! Contact the rebels and the IPC! No—broadcast it across all channels! We're declaring a ceasefire! Immediately! Withdraw from all conflict zones! Hurry!"

===

Rebel Headquarters.

Several rebel leaders were still arguing when a staff officer stumbled in, pale and panicked.

"Stop arguing! He came—the Emissary of Peace who clears the field for Robin!"

"Remember Zeta-III, where its people refused to give him face last time? Nothing left—not even dust!"

"Hurry! Tell all units to hold positions! No—start helping the IPC clear the ruins and rescue the war victims! Show our sincerity for peace!"

===

Interastral Peace Corporation Frontier Base.

At this moment, the commander who led the IPC's troops on Kasbelina-VIII stared at the live satellite feed, which showed an ordinary-looking spaceship heading toward Kasbelina-VIII, his scalp tingling.

No one understood Lucian's power level better than he did.

According to the IPC's findings, Lucian was confirmed to be an Emanator—likely an Emanator of Elation.

It was just that he truly couldn't comprehend how all this trouble existed merely for the sake of a singer who wanted to bring peace and save the weak wherever she went.

However, considering that Lucian was an Emanator of Elation, such bizarre and absurd behavior did make sense.

"Of all places, why did he come to this damn planet!"

Watching the spaceship ridden by Lucian and Robin in the satellite feed get closer and closer, the commander couldn't help but complain.

"Dammit, inform all ground troops—halt every military operation! Repeat—halt everything!"

"Relief work?"

"Yes! Double the rescue efforts! Move every crate of medical supplies from the warehouses if necessary! Also, get me the government and rebel leaders on the line! Before he lands, I want a three-way ceasefire agreement signed and projected on the biggest screen we have!"

===

Half an hour later, Lucian and Robin's spaceship finally descended on Kasbelina-VIII.

As their spaceship hatch opened, Lucian stepped out first, his calm gaze sweeping steadily over the area.

Every soldier lining up before the spaceship instinctively straightened, gripping their weapons tightly—not to fight, but out of sheer tension.

No one wanted to anger the Emissary of Peace, fearing that one wrong move could mean total obliteration.

Before long, a middle-aged man in an IPC military uniform rushed forward, nearly tripping over himself, and behind him followed the government's supreme commander and the rebel commander—all three of them wearing the same fawning smile.

"Mr. Lucian! Welcome! Welcome to Kasbelina-VIII!"

Right after these words left the IPC commander's mouth, a massive holographic screen flickered to life behind him and the two other commanders, displaying an image of a freshly signed document that read: "Kasbelina-VIII's Peace and Mutual Development Agreement."

"As you can see, this agreement is meant to express our yearning for peace and our full support for Miss Robin spreading peace!"

Wearing a big, fawning smile, the IPC commander practically shouted as he explained the situation.

"Our three factions have reached a peace agreement! Effective immediately! All armed forces are standing down to maintain peace across Kasbelina-VIII!"

At the IPC commander's words, the government and rebel commanders nodded vigorously, then echoed his declaration in unison:

"Let this planet bask in Miss Robin's song and the light of peace!"

"We'll fully cooperate—absolutely cooperate!"

Lucian's eyes lingered on the massive image of 'peace agreement' for a moment, then swept over the three figures before him—the planet's current top powers.

He opened his mouth, wanting to say something, but then closed it again, not knowing what to say—the corner of his mouth twitched ever so slightly, so subtle it might have been an illusion.

He sighed softly, then called softly toward the spaceship.

"Robin."

In the next moment, Robin slowly stepped out of the spaceship and took in the surreal sight before her—heavily armed soldiers standing rigid, a shining image of peace agreement glowing amidst the lingering smoke, and three powerful men trembling before her father like students awaiting judgment from their teacher.

Seeing such a scene, her heart couldn't help but churn with mixed emotions.

She had come to spread peace and save the weak, so why did it feel so wrong somehow?

It was as if she were the villain here.

However, when she saw the ragged children in the distance, her mixed emotions grew resolute once more.

Yes, she didn't need to care about how the 'peace' was achieved—she only knew that, right now, those children needed it.

"Father?"

Robin turned her head to Lucian and called softly.

"Go." Lucian gave a faint nod. "Don't worry about them—it's safe here. I won't let your body ever bear a scar."
