Chapter 195 - Another Reunion, Oti's Nightmare

Sunday had originally planned to use the influence of Gopher Wood, the leader of the Order faction, to gather a hundred thousand faithful believers and resurrect Ena the Order from within the Harmony by controlling an Emanator of Harmony—Dominicus the Harmonious Choir.

Following that, with a single decisive turn, he would fully take control of the power of the Order, fulfilling the grand dream of uniting the entire Asdana star system—allowing everyone to live within a beautiful dream.

Once he mastered both the powers of Order and Harmony, he would begin as an Emanator himself—capable of sustaining the dream of Ena on his own and protecting all who lived within it.

It was truly a flawless plan, but now, it was completely ruined.

Not only had the leader of the Order faction, Gopher Wood, reverted to a pure follower of Harmony, but he himself was no different from him.

How could he command over a hundred thousand believers of the Order now?

How could he wield the power of Order to create the perfect dream?

How could he possibly backstab Gopher Wood now?

Years of planning—all had turned to ash in an instant.

Sunday truly didn't know whether to laugh or cry.

"Actually, Mr. Gopher Wood, I can't hear the voices of the Order either..." Sunday said with a complicated expression. "Now, I'm... a pure follower of Harmony..."

"Not good..." Gopher Wood sighed helplessly. "We were so close—the Charmony Festival is about to begin, and the plan is nearly complete. Now, we'll have to reconsider everything..."

In the end, after some more discussions with Sunday, Gopher Wood, feeling distressed and somewhat lost, left silently.

Both men were schemers at heart, as neither directly said that they were abandoning the Order, but Gopher Wood was, in fact, ready to quit the Order and continue living as a faithful follower of Harmony.

He couldn't help it.

He could no longer hear the voices of the Order, and under the influence of that strange dream, his way of thinking had also changed greatly.

Sunday, on the other hand, even after returning to the embrace of Harmony, still wished for everyone to live within a beautiful dream of the Order, though that wish was only wishful thinking now.

As Sunday fell silent, lost in thought, he soon noticed that Robin's livestream, which was still playing on the high-definition holographic projection, had suddenly grown lively.

When he turned around and focused his gaze on the livestream, he watched as a man suddenly appeared before Robin, embraced her intimately, and then vanished in front of everyone, his destination unknown.

Upon seeing the man, Sunday couldn't help but stiffen.

He couldn't help it.

He recognized the man's face clearly from his second set of memories.

He was the man who had saved his family, become both his step-father and his idol, and later... actually ended up with his sister and became his brother-in-law.

'He is... real? Could it be that Mr. Gopher Wood and I reverting to being pure followers of Harmony have something to do with him?'

Sunday couldn't help but think this way since the current situation had become far too strange, far too mysterious for him to understand.

'I have to see Fath—Lucian and learn the truth.'

*Beep-Beep-Beep—*

Just as Sunday was about to find Lucian's whereabouts, his phone suddenly rang.

He quickly looked at his phone, but when he saw the caller ID and saw that it read 'Mother,' his body froze, and his eyes widened.

He remembered that in his original memories, his mother had died when he was still young during the Stellaron disaster to protect him and his sister, so how could there possibly be a contact for his mother on his phone?

He didn't even have a phone when his mother was still alive, since back then, he had still been a young child. However, he quickly remembered that in the new set of memories, he actually did have a contact for his mother.

Did that mean those memories were real?

Sunday, not knowing what to believe anymore, ultimately answered the call.

"...Hello."

Just as Sunday spoke, a familiar voice responded from the other side—one he knew all too well.

"Sunny, do you have time to come home? Your father and sister are back."

Hearing the voice, Sunday's eyes blinked in disbelief.

"H-Home...? Father...?"

Unlike the original memories, in his new set of memories, he knew there was a warm home, and he also knew its location well.

In the end, after a brief chat with his mother, Sunday quickly exited the Dreamscape and then followed a path that was both foreign and familiar. At first, he merely walked at a fast pace, but gradually, his pace grew faster and faster until it turned into desperate running.

Before long, he finally reached a place he recognized well—a delicate and elegant little house that shouldn't have existed.

Sunday took a deep breath as he gazed at the house, then took a step forward.

*Click—*

As soon as he opened the front door and stepped inside the house, he saw a familiar face he knew so well.

"Mo...ther..."

In the foyer, Sunday stared blankly at Serfina, dressed in her usual elegant and modest clothing, apparently waiting for him.

"Sunny, come in, we've been waiting for you."

Serfina spoke with a gentle smile, then grabbed the hand of the dazed Sunday and pulled him into the living room.

As soon as he stepped inside the living room, Sunday saw a handsome man sitting on the sofa, with a young woman lying asleep in his arms.

Who else could it be but Lucian and Robin?

At this moment, Robin seemed to have cried herself to exhaustion, now curled up peacefully in Lucian's embrace.

Now that the truth stood right before his eyes, Sunday could no longer deny the reality of his other set of memories. At the very least, he understood that although memories could be falsified, reality could not.

"Were my original memories the fake ones...?" Sunday couldn't help but question his own existence. "Mother, I don't know what's real anymore..."

Evidently, he had begun to doubt his own life.

In his original memories, his mother had died, and he had become a follower of Order, but in the new set of memories, his mother was actually alive and well, and he was only a follower of Harmony.

However, if that were the case, why in this reality was his mother alive, while he was a pure follower of Harmony?

Did that mean the original memories were the fake ones, and the new set of memories were actually the original ones?

Truth and fallacy seemed to blur together at this moment, making him unable to stop himself from arriving at the idea that maybe someone had actually activated Ena's dream for this absurd reality to exist.

"Don't worry. If you have questions, ask your father—he'll tell you everything you want to know."

Serfina, still wearing a gentle smile, led Sunday to the man sitting on the sofa, and soon, their eyes finally met.

"So, Sunny, what am I to you?"

Lucian asked calmly, a faint smile adorning his face.

"My father?"

Sunday instinctively blurted the words out, then froze and quickly bit his lower lip.

Now he was torn again—the man before him felt both familiar and foreign at the same time, leaving him deeply conflicted.

"Alright, sit down first." Lucian chuckled softly. "Once you've gathered your thoughts, we'll talk about all this. For now, don't wake your sister."

As he spoke, he gently brushed Robin's shoulder, while his other hand was held tightly by her, as if she were afraid that he might disappear.

Earlier, he had returned by directly using Absolute Hit to reach the coordinates of his familiar little house, but to his surprise, the little house he had lived in for years within the script had truly manifested in reality, clearly influenced by the script itself.

Even Serfina, whom he had revived, was already inside the house, waiting for him.

For a moment, he felt as though he were still inside the script, where his little family gathered together, basking in the warmth of a dreamlike home.

Meanwhile, in the Alfalfa Family's territory, where a massive, luxurious mansion stood, an old pepeshi was sleeping soundly inside a grand bedroom fit for the wealthy.

He was none other than Oti Alfalfa, the head of the Alfalfa Family.

Every dreamchaser in Penacony knew his name.

If Penacony was the land of dreams across the cosmos, then Oti was its most diligent cultivator. He had shattered solid rock to sow the seeds of wealth, built a stable financial system, and kept the flow of goods and currency in Penacony alive.

In Penacony, his achievements had long become legendary, to the point of being written into every edition of the academy's textbooks. Many students even considered it an honor to dine with him—their conversations were even recorded and compiled into talk collections for academic study.

And yet, this highly influential figure in Penacony had suddenly awakened from a nightmare, screaming like a little girl.

"NOOO! I surrender! I submit!"

Oti screamed in fear, flailing his arms wildly, as though terrified by some unseen force.

"Huff... Huff... It was just a dream...."

He was drenched in sweat, his sheets damp.

Lifting the blanket, he discovered that he had actually wet himself.

"Damn it, why'd I dream of being crushed so hard I couldn't breathe? If I hadn't yielded, I would've exploded..."

Right after muttering this, Oti looked around to confirm that no one else was in the room.

If word ever got out that Oti Alfalfa had wet the bed from a nightmare, his reputation would be ruined forever.

"Phew, thank god that Lucian guy was just a dream. Otherwise, Penacony would be a total mess by now, and I'd be the first one paying for it."

Even Oti himself couldn't understand why he felt such an instinctive fear toward that overbearing man in his dream.

A pepeshi intuition wasn't supposed to work like that, after all.

In the end, instead of washing them, Oti quickly destroyed the filthy sheets and pajamas, pretending that the shameful incident of him screaming like a little girl and wetting the bed had never happened.

For Oti Alfalfa, today would be another day battling the Oak Family for power and profit.
