Chapter 16 - Episode 17: Full Entry into the University

Two weeks after the field test ended—Kang Seung-woo's world had changed forever.

Over thirty levitating buses glided through the open sky, approaching the main gate of Bio-Gene Warrior University, Zone 10. The morning sun cast a gentle glow, but the air buzzed with tension, excitement, and the unspoken determination of those who hoped to become warriors of the new era.

Seung-woo stood in the lead bus, with Hyun-joo beside him—his close friend, whose bizarre transformation power was both ridiculous and formidable.

"This place is even bigger than I imagined… Look at that tower!" Hyun-joo pointed at the sprawling high-rise campus.

"Yeah… This isn't just a school. It's the first battlefield of the real world." Seung-woo replied, fingers brushing the golden stripe on the left chest of his uniform.

Gold stripe = Prodigy Class student

Gray stripe = Standard Class student

The main gate opened with a sweep of holographic light, displaying the welcome message:

"Welcome, Students of Academic Year 6750Please scan your wrist to verify identity and access your performance score."

Seung-woo held out his arm. A blue scanner swept from his wrist to his shoulder. A calm voice followed:

[ID Confirmed: Kang Seung-woo][Status: Prodigy Class][Initial Performance Points: 300]

Seung-woo nodded silently.Beside him, Hyun-joo frowned at his own results.

"100 points? Man… I'm definitely getting the economy room." he grumbled.

Standard Class students entered through the gate on the right. Prodigy Class students were led to the left—an entirely different system awaited them.

Inside the grand central hall, a massive screen displayed a map of the campus along with the Performance Point System.

📊 Performance Point System (PPS)This replaced all forms of currency within the university—Used for food, training, weapon access, mission participation, and more.Zero points = no right to study or even survive in the system.

💠 Point Usage Categories (Displayed via Hologram):

Students dispersed—some rushing to register for courses, others buying food, or applying for training rooms—especially those from elite high schools.

Seung-woo watched in silence.

He knew every point mattered.

"Aren't you going to register for anything?" Hyun-joo asked, holding a lunch tray.

"I'm checking the terms. Looks like Prodigy Class students can access Mutation Classes right away… if they have enough points." Seung-woo said, selecting "Bio-Gene Basics Lv.1"—spending 30 points instantly.

[Registration Confirmed][Remaining Points: 270]

At that moment, a group of students passed by.

Leading them was a tall young man with silver hair and icy eyes.He glanced at Seung-woo briefly, then walked straight to the Hyper Flow Room booth, applying for access without hesitation.

"That's Kang Min-seok… son of one of the university directors. I heard his GEU is close to 600." Hyun-joo whispered.

Seung-woo didn't respond. He lowered his eyes as a new message flashed on his display.

[Special Prodigy Class Offer]You may claim one free mid-level combat course.Valid for 7 days from enrollment. No points will be deducted.

A faint smile crossed his lips.

"I'll save it… until I'm truly ready."

Just then, a familiar voice came from behind.

"I saw you enrolled in basics first… That's a wise move."Lee Yeon-A appeared, wearing the golden stripe uniform as well.

Her expression was calm, eyes focused.

"Have you chosen a mission yet?" she asked.

"Not yet. I wanted to study the system first." Seung-woo replied.

Yeon-A handed him a data tab."This is a recon mission to an abandoned lab in Sector B-7. It was randomly assigned to those with high Mutation-Class evaluations."

He scanned it:

Mission Rank: D+

Reward: 150 points

Warning: Bio-energy interference detected. Auto-systems may not function.

Seung-woo paused, then nodded.

"It's tempting… but I'll start with the basics. I haven't fully explored my powers yet."

Yeon-A nodded quietly and walked away.

That evening, Seung-woo sat in the corner of his third-floor dorm—reserved for Prodigy Class students.

He opened his personal data terminal again.

He closed his eyes slowly.

And deep within—he felt something stir.

The evolution system inside him was… responding.

"Soon... they'll know—My 300 points weren't handed out for free."
