Chapter 25 - Chapter 24 — Operation Skylar – The Noble War Begins!

When the four of them return to class, Mr. Loin also walks in at the same time. He sets his briefcase down on the desk and says: "Everyone, settle down! Be quiet!"

The students quickly return to their seats and fall silent.

Once the classroom is truly quiet, Mr. Loin flips open his book and says: "Take out your math books and turn to page 13. Today we'll study…"

After what feels like an eternity for the students, the lesson finally ends. The classroom turns noisy again. Sunny lies flat on her desk, looking even more exhausted than before.

"Hey…"

Skylar is still solving problems as usual, but she replies without turning: "What?"

"I'm so bored…"

Skylar folds her worksheet, turns around, and looks at Julian sitting in the back playing games. She frowns and says: "Hey Ice! Go buy some drinks! I'm getting sleepy, so get me a can of black coffee."

"I want that grape juice with jelly inside!" – Sunny suddenly sits up, looking much livelier than earlier.

Julian puts down his phone, walks over to the two girls, and extends his hand with an unwilling look: "Money?"

Skylar closes her eyes, waves her fingers lazily: "No no…"

Then she opens her eyes and looks at Julian with a sparkly gaze: "Treat us… Master Jiang…"

Julian is so mad that imaginary snow and ice swirl around him: "Huh?! That sounds real funny, huh?!"

Skylar shrugs, her tone teasing: "Well, it is funny!"

Just then, Leo walks over and jumps onto Julian's shoulders: "How about… I go with you?"

Julian slams Leo to the floor. But Leo is nimble and lands smoothly like a pro.

"Let's go." – Julian says and grabs Leo's arm, pulling him out of the classroom.

Leo looks a bit surprised. He glances down at their hands—Julian is still holding onto him.

Leo stops walking, his face thoughtful. Julian senses something's off. He stops and turns to ask: "What's wrong?"

Leo stares at their hands. Then says: "Seems like you're mistaking me for someone else? Maybe someone… you've been thinking about?"

Julian freezes. Then he too looks down at their hands.

Leo beams—a grin brighter than the sun: "Whoa! That face you're making is hilarious—and kinda cute too!"

Julian is stunned for a few seconds, then quickly lets go and stammers: "Uh… Sorry… I grabbed the wrong person."

As soon as he says that, Julian turns around and keeps walking—his face starting to sweat a little.

Leo jogs ahead, spins around, and stares into Julian's eyes. His tone playful: " 'Grabbed the wrong person'? So it's true? Come on, tell me… Tell me… Or is it—because that person is me, you're too shy to admit it? Aiya… Don't worry… You can tell me…"

Julian lowers his head, his body trembling, his lips moving: "I… I… I…"

"What? What'd you say?" – Leo leans in with a mischievous smile.

Suddenly, Julian throws a punch at him, his face flushed red:

"SHY YOUR HEAD! ARE YOU DELUSIONAL?!"

Leo dodges the punch effortlessly, with stylish ease: "Why so mad? Don't tell me I'm right?"

"I AM!!!" – Julian roars.

Leo is stunned, not expecting such an intense reaction. Everyone in the hallway turns to look. Whispers spread.

"Are they fighting?" – a student asks quietly.

"Not sure… But it looks like it…" – someone replies.

Seeing the situation, Leo forces a smile and throws his arm around Julian's shoulder, faking friendliness:

"Come on, come on… Just some martial arts sparring between friends, right? Besides, we gotta go buy drinks!"

Without waiting, Leo pulls Julian away from the scene. Julian struggles: "Let go! We're not that close!"

Leo mutters: "You want people gossiping tomorrow? Like 'Two handsome boys fought in the hallway' or something?"

"No…" – Julian mumbles.

"Then that's settled! Let's go get drinks!" – Leo grins.

Julian nods slightly.

He's… not that annoying. – Julian thinks.

About ten minutes later…

Julian and Leo return to class. Julian places a can of coffee on Skylar's head: "Here."

Skylar, who's doing her worksheet, jumps. Her pen falls to the floor.

"Ah!" – she exclaims.

Julian grins: "Hehehe…"

Sunny leans back and smacks Julian: "You dare freeze my Little Angel?"

Julian snaps: "What's it got to do with you?"

Leo senses tension and tries to mediate. He hands Sunny the grape juice she asked for: "Here's your drink."

Sunny snatches the juice, sticks the straw in, and takes a big sip with a cool street-boss vibe: "Of course it's got something to do with me! Little's my lover. It'd be weird if it didn't!"

A vein pops on Julian's forehead, but he keeps calm: "Tsk! Not worth arguing!"

Sky Baby is my personal maid, my bodyguard, my close friend. I have way more connection to her! Not worth arguing! That's the true pride of a noble! Hahaha… – Julian thinks.

After school…

As the group walks toward the gate, Sunny asks: "Hey Leo, what's your dorm room number?"

"Room 300, Zone C," – Leo replies.

"What about you?" – he asks.

"I'm in Room 200, Zone B."

He turns to Julian and Skylar: "And you two?"

"We're in the same room," – Julian answers.

Leo is shocked. He steps back a few paces, visibly stunned. His voice stammers like a child's: "Y-You two are roommates? What's going on?"

Sunny is about to speak but glances at Skylar first, silently asking permission. Skylar nods.

Sunny excitedly leans in, but first warns: "But you have to promise not to tell anyone. Just us four know!"

"I promise!" – Leo nods furiously.

Sunny whispers into Leo's ear: "Little Angel is… Ice's personal maid."

Leo jumps: "WTF!!!"

Sunny quickly covers his mouth: "Shh!"

Leo's eyes are wide, but his mouth is sealed, only able to mumble: "Mm-hmm!"

She lets go. Leo rushes to Julian, grabbing his shoulders with a slightly regretful look:

"So… it's true? And that's why you're roommates?"

Skylar says calmly: "That's right."

Julian brushes off Leo's hand: "What's with that regretful face? You don't want me as a roommate that much?"

Leo suddenly turns all dramatic. He groans theatrically: "Of course… If you leave… who's gonna sit there silently listening to me ramble every night…"

Julian's face darkens: "So I'm just your emotional trash can?"

Leo nods seriously: "What else?"

"Nothing much." – Julian replies coldly.

"I'm heading to Hoan Hoan's dorm to pack my stuff," – Skylar says.

Leo turns to Sunny, eyes showing a bit of sympathy: "So now Hoan Hoan's alone?"

Sunny nods: "Yep yep…"

Leo makes an "Oh…" face, then starts walking quickly: "Well then, I'll head back to my dorm. See you all tomorrow!"

Skylar waves: "Yep! See you…"

"Bye!!!" – Sunny shouts.

"Bye…" – Julian mutters. And at this moment… he looks rather… dumb.

"What, you short-circuiting or something?" – Skylar teases, elbowing him.

"Leave me alone!!! Can't you stop mocking me for once?" – Julian snaps.

Skylar shrugs, smiling slightly with a smug glint in her eyes: "Who knows? Maybe teasing you is my personal hobby?"

"Oh please…"

Sunny jumps in cheerfully: "Then bow to your Skylar ten times!"

Skylar slaps Sunny's mouth lightly, looking serious: "Shut it! I'm not dead yet!"

"Alright, let's just get your stuff and go already!" – Julian grumbles.

At Sunny's dorm…

Skylar runs in and flops onto the bed, rolling around: "Dearest dorm… I'm about to leave you behind. Huhuhuhu…"

Julian leans against the doorframe, eyes half-closed: "Hurry up and pack. Then go cook dinner for me!"

Skylar, tired but still packing, replies: "Got it, got it! What's the rush?"

Julian answers flatly: "I'm kinda hungry."
