Chapter 220 - 220: Birth of The Thousand Eyes.

Kurogai Alexander Blackwood had been thinking for a long time about creating an organization of his own. Unlike the sprawling empires or tangled hierarchies that most leaders built, his vision was simpler, sharper, and singular in purpose. This organization would not exist to save the world, nor to dominate it. It would serve one purpose alone—him. Specifically, it would exist to collect knowledge, resources, and power necessary for him to unlock the mysteries of the pupil rings.

There would be no cumbersome ranks or endless bureaucracy. The structure would be straightforward, functional, and entirely loyal to him. He had already decided on its four pillars: intelligence, scientific research, funding, and armed forces.

Each division would be entrusted to someone he considered reliable. Not a sprawling council of strangers, but a handful of trusted individuals who would answer only to him. This was not a world-shaking organization—it was a tool, forged to fit his hand perfectly. And for Kurogai, that was enough.

Gathering the people closest to him, he spoke with a calm authority.

"Jean. Wanda. Skye. Rogue. You're the ones I trust most. This is for you to understand, and for us to build together."

He let his words hang for a moment, giving them the weight of intent before continuing.

Skye leaned forward, her curiosity obvious. "So, tell us. What exactly is this organization supposed to be?"

Her excitement wasn't just hers—Jean, Wanda, and Rogue all looked equally intrigued.

Kurogai's expression remained serious. "The organization I'm creating isn't about being a team of heroes, nor is it a syndicate of villains. Its only purpose is to carry out my directives, to help me accomplish what needs to be done. You will be its backbone."

He let the outline unfold with deliberate precision. "There will be four departments: Intelligence, Research, Funding, and Armed Forces."

He turned toward Rogue first. "Intelligence will be your responsibility. At first, I had considered someone else, but I've reconsidered. Your ability to absorb not just powers but memories gives you an edge that no one else can match. You don't need to sneak into places or take risks—the information comes to you. And with what you've gained from the Scarlet Witch's power, your insight has only deepened."

Rogue nodded slowly. There was no protest—she knew he was right.

"As for scientific research," Kurogai continued, "that falls to Jean. You've always been the core of the research team, and no one is more suited for it. Nothing changes there."

Jean smiled faintly, a quiet acknowledgment of the trust he placed in her.

He shifted his gaze toward Wanda and Skye. "The Armed Forces will be yours to command. You are both powerful enough to defend the others and act when the situation demands it. In quiet times, you'll be the shield for the rest of the team. In times of conflict, you'll be the spear."

Both women exchanged a look, understanding the weight of the role, then nodded firmly.

"As for funding…" He paused, considering the vast network of resources he already had at his disposal. "…I'll handle it for now. Between what I can secure through my own abilities and what I can… acquire, the organization will have enough to operate."

When he finished, the room was silent for a beat. Then, all four nodded in agreement.

"We get it," Jean said at last. "It's clear."

Wanda added softly, "But we'll need practical things too—channels of communication, safeguards, signals. This has to function like a real organization."

She was right. And they all knew it. To formalize things, they exchanged magical markers—small enchantments that acted as beacons. If one of them called, the others would know instantly. It wasn't much, but it was a start.

For Kurogai, that was enough. These were the people he trusted most, the ones closest to him. Their cooperation came easily, their interactions free of pretense or distance. That bond mattered as much as the plan itself.

When the formalities were nearly settled, Jean raised a question. "What about the name?"

The room grew thoughtful. They had discussed the roles, the duties, the foundation—but not what to call it.

Skye was the first to speak. "Why not just name it after you? Apparently, you've been called the 'Eyed One.' It makes sense. This is your organization, after all."

Wanda tilted her head, unconvinced. "It's not bad, but it feels… unfinished."

Rogue chimed in, "Yeah, something's missing. It doesn't quite capture what this is."

For a moment, voices overlapped, each offering their own take. But Kurogai lifted his hand, silencing them. His decision came with clarity.

"The organization will be called Thousand Eyes."

The words cut through the air with finality.

A thousand eyes. A thousand perspectives. A thousand ways of seeing, all converging under him. The name embodied the very essence of his pursuit—the endless variations of pupil techniques, the limitless ways to perceive and shape reality.

That was the purpose. That was the destiny.

The others fell silent, then nodded in acceptance. The name carried weight, and more importantly, it carried meaning.

For Kurogai Blackwood, Thousand Eyes was not about power in the traditional sense. But about vision—his vision. And through this organization, he would ensure that vision became reality.

What mattered wasn't the name, but the work it would do. And with these four by his side, Kurogai felt the first real steps of that journey take shape.

This was the birth of Thousand Eyes.
