Han left the room without thinking much. The only place he could go was to him.
Being near Seungmin was the only place where Han felt safe, as if he could finally breathe again.
He drifted toward the business faculty with no clear plan — just a quiet hope that maybe he would catch a glimpse of Choi Seungmin. He walked around, trying to look aimless, but his eyes kept searching. Seungmin had to be somewhere.
When he didn't spot him, Han gathered up all his courage and asked a junior nearby, "Hey, do you know where the 5th semester students are?"
The junior pointed upward. "Lecture Hall 3, on the third floor."
Han bowed slightly in thanks before heading up.
Halfway up the stairs, he began to hesitate. Should he really go? He paused more than once, almost turning around. What if Seungmin wasn't even there? What if he looked desperate?
Still, he kept going. I'll just take a look from afar and come back, he told himself. His stomach twisted with anxiety.
When he reached the third floor, he scanned the hallway. Lecture Hall 3… there.
He approached the door slowly. It had a glass panel on the side, but he couldn't see inside clearly. Leaning closer, he cupped his hands around his face to block the glare, but still—nothing.
Maybe Seungmin wasn't in there.
Han pressed his ear to the door. Silence.
He sighed and fogged up the glass with his breath, then wiped it with his sleeve. Still nothing.
Feeling a little foolish, he waved both hands in front of the glass just in case. Nothing.
Defeated, he let out a soft breath and turned away, sliding his back down the door until he was sitting on the cold floor.
After a few seconds, he pushed himself up and walked to a bench nearby. Maybe he shouldn't have come.
Then… he saw him.
