Chapter 21 - Chapter 21: Lv10, Full Purple Equipment!

"My balance shrinking by ninety percent is way too thrilling," Yu Zhun said, rubbing his cheeks as he looked at his balance that had suddenly plummeted to just over two hundred thousand. "But I can still recoup some losses.

"With the [Dark Blood-Drinking Dagger], I can sell the [Black Snake Frenzied Fang] I specifically saved earlier.

"Once I level up to Lv10 and equip my new Equipment, I can sell all my current ones too.

"I'll be solo-farming Bosses for the next two days. Even though they won't drop the most valuable Master Level Equipment, the drop rates for everything else remain the same, so I can still make a decent profit.

"Calculating it like this, in two days, I should be back in the millionaire ranks. Plus, Dungeons always have rich rewards, and the [Nether Trial] definitely won't be an exception. Selling the dropped items will bring in another massive sum of money. If I get a lot of money, I should buy a house!" he couldn't help but fantasize, smiling with anticipation.

He and Yu Zhuzhu currently lived in a rented apartment. To save money, the place was very small. The master bedroom Yu Zhuzhu slept in could only fit a desk and a bed, and his second bedroom was even smaller.

Furthermore, the location was quite remote, making it inconvenient for Yu Zhuzhu to go to school.

They had no choice in the past, but things would be different from now on.

"Ah, I'm looking forward to two days from now more and more."

[Congratulations on demonstrating your divine might and defeating the incredibly brutal Demon Beast Boss, Black Rock Snake (Lv15). Level Experience +2000!]

[Congratulations! Your level has increased to Lv10!]

[Upon being killed, the Demon Beast Boss, Black Rock Snake, has provided you with...]

"Finally leveled up. I won't be tormenting you anymore," Yu Zhun chuckled, looking at the pile of rubble on the ground.

As the easiest to kill among the three major Bosses, the Black Rock Snake had been continuously tormented by Yu Zhun for the past two days.

Unable to wait, he eagerly equipped the three pieces of Master Level Equipment he had prepared and happily opened his attribute panel.

To reduce filler, non-essential panel displays have been omitted. The previous values were from the Lv7 panel. This will not be explained again in the future.)

"This wave of upgrades..." The corners of Yu Zhun's mouth curled up wildly.

As expected of Master Level Equipment. It truly was on another level.

However, his enhancements weren't completely finished yet.

Every 5 levels granted a certain number of Skill Points, so reaching Lv10 naturally did as well. And it wasn't just 1 point—it was 2 points.

He could upgrade two Lv1 skills to Lv2, or upgrade his Lv2 [Swift Step] to Lv3, which would cost 2 Skill Points.

"Before upgrading my skills, I'll swap out [Self-Healing]." Yu Zhun pulled out a new Skill Book from his inventory.

He had initially learned [Self-Healing]—a recovery skill that took effect after leaving combat—to increase his sustain. But now, two of his three pieces of Master Level Equipment had healing effects.

One was the Resurrection effect of the [Black Snake Rock Armor], which instantly restored 30% of his maximum Life Value when his Life Value dropped below 20%. This effect only activated once per battle.

The other was the Bloodthirst effect of the [Dark Blood-Drinking Dagger], which caused 10% of the Life Value reduction inflicted on a target to undergo Transformation into his own life recovery.

With these, [Self-Healing] was no longer necessary.

He was about to enter the [Nether Trial], and having an extra usable skill would likely increase his chances of clearing it.

The new skill he chose was called [Shadow Punishment].

It was an Assassin-exclusive skill that vastly increased a combatant's flexibility in battle, and it was a highly sought-after skill that could sell for tens of thousands.

"I'll just upgrade [Phantom] and [Sword Dance]." Yu Zhun quickly got to work.

[Skills: 4/4] (Skill Points: 2)

[Skill 1: Phantom (Lv1): Places the body in a temporary phantom state, reducing damage taken by 40%. Consumes 30 Mana per use.]

[Skill 2: Swift Step (Lv2)]

[Skill 3: Sword Dance (Lv1): Enhances close-quarters combat capabilities, allowing the player to execute exquisite weapon techniques as if by instinct.]

[Skill 4: Self-Healing (Lv1)]

[Skill 1: Phantom (Lv2): Places the body in a temporary phantom state, reducing damage taken by 50%. Consumes 30 Mana per use.]

[Skill 2: Swift Step (Lv2)]

[Skill 3: Sword Dance (Lv2): Significantly enhances close-quarters combat capabilities, allowing the player to execute exquisite weapon techniques as if by instinct.]

[Skill 4: Shadow Punishment (Lv1): When attacking a target's shadow, deals 10% damage to the target's main body.]

"Done."

Looking at his brand-new skill panel, Yu Zhun nodded in satisfaction.

The damage reduction of [Phantom] had increased from 40% to 50%, while the enhancement from [Sword Dance] was a bit more abstract—its description had changed from "Enhances" to "Significantly enhances."

However, Yu Zhun tested it out slightly and figured that if his previous combat skills allowed him to fight 1v3 against opponents of the same tier, he could now handle a 1v4.

The most important addition was his new skill, [Shadow Punishment]. As long as he hit the opponent's shadow, he could deal 10% damage to their main body.

And this damage could also trigger [Open and Aboveboard].

Therefore, despite being a close-combat Profession, Yu Zhun now possessed the ability to instantly kill a target without even touching them.

More importantly, subsequent upgrades to [Shadow Punishment] would only increase the damage ratio, which was completely unnecessary for Yu Zhun. Thus, he could obtain the perfect effect from this skill without wasting any Skill Points to upgrade it.

This truly was like Bulbasaur eating Crispy Corners in the Mickey Mouse Clubhouse.

Absolutely wonderful!

After double-checking the various items he had prepared in his inventory for the Dungeon, Yu Zhun took a deep breath and used the [Nether Trial Invitation].

In the next instant, his body vanished directly from where he stood.

[Welcome to the Hidden Dungeon: Nether Trial]

[The Dungeon rules are as follows:]

[1. All Dungeon rewards will be settled upon leaving.]

[2. Players will not die in this Dungeon. Being killed will result in immediately exiting the Dungeon. Players may also choose to leave voluntarily.]

[Please kill everything that stands in your way until the very end of your life!]
