A blast of cold air froze the headless mud woman solid.
Another kick, and with a BANG, she shattered completely.
"Target eliminated!"
Wang Xi flicked his sword, splattering mud everywhere.
After the mud woman died, the fat mud man, whose head had been rapidly regenerating, also stopped moving and completely disintegrated.
"Target eliminated!"
He turned to survey the battle. The rescue team had raised a barrier and was using laser weapons to gun down the surrounding mud figures.
The air was a crisscross of constant gunfire, mud pellets, and laser beams.
Lu Qiaoling and the others were safe behind the Ice Wall.
But as time passed, Wang Xi noticed that the number of mud figures swarming them was increasing rather than decreasing.
'This is endless,' Wang Xi thought.
He pressed his earpiece and said in a low voice,
"Prepare to cover the trapped personnel's retreat. The noise we're making will keep attracting monsters from within the Disaster Area."
"Yes, Captain Wang."
