He comes from a family of seafarers, and for generations, they've all been fishermen.
But in the new era of Spiritual Energy Revival, ordinary fishermen can no longer meet the demands of the times. New-generation fishermen usually become Beastmasters, catching Spirit Fish and edible Water-type Pet Beasts with the help of modern technology and Pet Beasts.
A scholar recently published a paper in an academic journal titled "The Relationship Between Spirit Fish and Fish Pet Beasts," which Chen Yuan skimmed through.

The second is Fish Pet Beasts, which vary in shape, usually have average taste, low nutritional levels but can possess extraordinary abilities like other Pet Beasts.
The Water Leaping Carp Chen Yuan encountered by the seaside belongs to the second type.
