"Hoo~"
Jilead took a deep breath, forcing himself to think.
"Adir is dead, the company definitely got the tenant information he had, I can feel it, the company is planning something big, and will toss a bunch of dirty work my way."
"You're still counting on the company?"
John was a bit surprised.
"What else?"
Jilead retorted, looking over tiredly. "You saw it, even someone as ruthless as Adir, a big name on the streets, is nothing in the eyes of the company, a single order and he's done for."
He twisted his eyebrows with thick fingers, leaned back with eyes closed, and there was a hint of desolation in his voice.
"I'm right, brother, thugs have no future, if you don't want to be trash, you have to climb up shamelessly and fearlessly."
Before John could say anything, Jilead waved his hand, cutting off John's unspoken comfort.
He gestured to the untouched glass of wine on the table.
