Chapter 11 - Chapter 10: Monster Taming

Li Ang was of course referring to the "Professional Secret Technique - Gales Linked Slash" visible on her interface.

"Okay!"

Though she had no idea what the concept of the Secret Technique was, she understood what the ultimate big move meant.

After years of sword practice, Zoe wielded the Wind Breath Sword like an extension of her arm. Even when hanging upside down, she could easily swing the short sword into a phantom.

The Two-legged Flying Dragon realized the young girl's Secret Technique and prepared for a desperate fight. It stretched its neck, opened its gaping mouth aimed at Zoe below, and began to gather a green-glowing Wind Elemental Gas Bomb within.

Seeing this, Zoe swung her sword even faster. Her blade couldn't directly strike the dragon, but the Wind Elemental Energy provided by the Treasure Artifacts stirred up a wild Wind Stream that spread destructively around, each seen as a weakened Wind Blade.

These secondary wind blades tore at the Two-legged Flying Dragon, sending scales and feathers flying, and even sliced through its wing membrane, causing it to howl as it spat out the wind bullet.

The wind bullet spun towards the young girl, stirring other wind streams in mid-air, and for a moment, the wind bullet faltered.

Li Ang watched this scene from a distance, estimating that Zoe's Wind Protection skill was at work.

Ultimately, the dragon could not withstand the tearing of the wind blades and began to fall with Zoe.

One human and one dragon plunged down beyond the island.

Li Ang shook his head, lamenting about how this was just a beginner.

That's why he didn't decide to pull her into the group just because of her protagonist status in the world; there was just too much to teach.

He reached into his pouch and grabbed a bunch of Vine of Verdant Green. Once he activated their Spirituality within, they quickly wrapped and tangled together.

He tossed the vines towards Zoe, and upon touching her body, the front end immediately wrapped tightly around her waist, then Li Ang twisted the vines, using their coiling power to pull her and the Two-legged Flying Dragon's corpse back to the island.

Zoe, who had fallen to the ground, was still in shock.

"That scared me to death!"

Her eyes were red, and she sat duck-legged on the ground, not even caring that her skirt hem was turned up.

But it didn't matter since she was wearing sports shorts.

It was likely that her parents taught her to dress this way, and in this regard, they were quite responsible.

The more pressing matter was that the Vine of Verdant Green, after being activated, started adhesive growth and now tightly bound her.

"What-what is this? Wow!"

"Hold on a second, it won't be so tight soon. I still need these vines, and if I untie them directly, they'll be useless."

Zoe struggled urgently against the vines' binding, but due to the activated Spirituality within, she couldn't muster the strength to break free.

Fortunately, the vines didn't bind her legs, allowing the young girl to stand up with great effort. Curved over, she wobbled step by step towards Li Ang, her eyes moist and wide.

"Li Ang, save me—"

Her dress was so worn that every opening was stretched wide, and as she leaned forward, the sunlight revealed a pristine, ivory-like sheen, which was too dazzling.

Li Ang turned his gaze away.

Zoe struggled and tottered around, and since she couldn't move freely, the bright look in her eyes seemed to vanish instantly.

"Are you a tortoise?" Li Ang sighed and began mining.

Those Desert Beasts were of such poor quality and worthless that he simply washed them off the Sky Island with water, considering the Two-legged Flying Dragon materials his true gains, along with the minerals.

Placing his hand on the rock bed containing Iron Ore, this time he cast the tier four curse—Spiritual Elimination.

Including Magic Shock, the curses not shown on his interface were actually generated by the high-tier skill "Spell Writing," dependent on Li Ang's understanding of all things' Spirituality over the past decade.

The rock bed contained Earth Element, and the Spirituality of the Earth Element included "cohesion" and "sedimentation."

Previously defeating Zoe relied on the sedimentation Spirituality within Solid Earth, but now, Li Ang's curse erased the cohesion Spirituality within the rock bed's Earth Element.

Whoosh!

Once the curse was complete, the entire rock bed, like a landslide, broke into countless small stones rolling down, which further shattered into even smaller pieces before completely turning to dust.

As the wind blew, the dust dispersed, allowing the pieces of Iron Ore to be easily picked up.

Zoe, nearly freed from the vines, was astonished to see his mining method, her eyes wide open.

Li Ang conveniently took the vines, readjusted them, and turned them into a basket.

"How are all these things possible?"

Zoe, while adjusting her clothes, walked over.

"I am a witch. These are the capabilities of my profession."

"A witch? Can I learn it?"

Li Ang looked back at the young girl, her eyes full of desire sparked by an evident curiosity.

"Your swordsman training is progressing well, I suggest bringing it to a higher level before considering dual training in other professions."

"Really, if I learn one thing, am I stuck with it?"

"Human energy is limited unless you have extraordinary talent."

Li Ang had indeed seen a few powerful dual-trained individuals, but they were one-in-a-million prodigies.

With the discussion on professions done, Zoe helped carry the ore.

Then, Li Ang and she started to break down the Two-legged Flying Dragon's body.

Dragon teeth and Dragon Claw were usable materials, but the scales were too worn and of poor quality. Most of the scales and feathers systems even displayed as trash.

[Low Tier Dragon Claw]

[Claw of a Low tier Dragon Descendant, worn but still superior to any beast]

[Tier: 2]

[Spirituality: Sharpness brought by Dragon Blood]

[Purpose: Alchemy, Casting Materials, Equipment Creation]

After sorting the materials, the young girl went back to sift through the stones, and amidst a pile of tiny rubble, she picked up a smooth, white object.

"What is this?"

[Two-legged Flying Dragon Egg]

[An egg laid by the Two-legged Flying Dragon, a delicacy, with some collecting it for breeding purposes]

[Tier: 2]

[Spirituality: Nurturing life]

[Purpose: Cooking, Summoning Beast Contract]

After telling the young girl it was an egg from the dragon they just faced, she immediately took interest, examining it closely, then looked back at Li Ang.

"Can I raise it?"

Are you a grade schooler?

"I can't decide for you, but I don't recommend it. You'd need a lot of meat, and you don't have a way to contract with it. The Two-legged Flying Dragon is an untamed species and could potentially harm you."

"I'll listen to you." Zoe obediently put the egg back in its place.

Li Ang picked up the egg. "Not hatching it, but making it into a dish would taste quite good. I bet you've never tasted it."

"No, I haven't!" The young girl nodded, staring at the egg for quite some time until Li Ang put it away.

However, upon touching the egg, the system window popped up.

[Notice: Demon Egg located, Activating Summoned Beast Taming panel]

[Summoned Beast Taming: With a Demon Egg, the main controller can tame. The hatched demon will fully obey the main controller's commands]

Complete obedience?

Once again, the system displayed a function akin to cheating.

Summoned Beasts differ from profession, equipment, and energy source in function.

The world imposes limits on all life; whether human or demon, no individual's ability can surpass ten tiers.

But as an independent entity, the effects a Summoned Beast can provide often exceed limited single abilities.

However, for most, the power of a Summoned Beast rarely exceeds the limits of ten tiers.

While it's not difficult to obtain a Summoned Beast, finding a strong, suitable one is as challenging as acquiring Treasure Artifacts.

"Summoning" implies both command and portability.

Traveling through the Aerial Realm requires a Flying Airship, and accompanying demons pose a problem, so most people use a mysterious "Demon Sealing Cage" to seal and carry demons.

However, powerful demons cannot be sealed, nor can uncommanded ones be sealed.

Therefore, how to command demons becomes a problem to solve.

The most common solution is the "Mental Suppression Scroll," a magic item specifically for suppressing demon thoughts, casting a mental suppression spell. However, captured demons this way nearly lose their "Combat Wisdom," like the Two-legged Flying Dragon just now, would be at a level less than tier 2 after submission.

Some cultures developed taming methods to solve this problem, but these are their foundational secrets, and they can't tame too powerful demons.

Yet the system panel before Li Ang indicated that he could directly tame by obtaining a Demon Egg?
