Early morning.
Li Chuan woke up early, and after having breakfast, he walked out of the village and started to wander around.
The village committee is near the elementary school, and it's now a construction site—very crowded and noisy—so Li Chuan headed toward the end of the village.
Following the stream for a short distance upstream, he saw an old man fishing by the river; with nothing else to do, Li Chuan went over to chat: "Uncle Wang, fishing so early today, any catches?"
These days in the village, he became familiar with many villagers, including the old man in front of him, known as Old Wang, one of the few outsiders in the village. Besides him, there's also Old Li, both having moved to Taohua Village twenty years ago.
