Chapter 27 - Chapter 27: The Hollow Below

Beneath Necron Spire, the walls of reality frayed.

Xtermisus descended through ancient stairs that hadn't been touched in millennia. His hand brushed across symbols etched in voidsteel. They pulsed with pain, history, and truth.

At the bottom was a chamber shaped like an eye, and in its pupil was a mirror.

It didn't reflect him.

Instead, it showed the world devoured by silence—stars swallowed, oceans still, time unwound.

The Nameless Hollow began to take form.

Tentacles of shadow licked the floor. A voice whispered: "You bear the memory of the gods. Give it to me, and I shall unmake the lie of time."

Xtermisus summoned his Space God Slayer Magic. "You're not unmaking lies. You're consuming hope."

But the entity laughed. "Even your pain was born of me. Your wife's soul lingers in my belly. Shall I show you?"

A figure shimmered in the void—his wife, alive yet translucent.

Tears fell from Xtermisus' eyes.

Meanwhile, Julius and his team rushed toward the Necron Spire.

Kairon handed him a sealed letter. "It's time you opened this. From your mother."

Julius read it quietly.

My son… If you're reading this, you've found the Seventh Flame. You were born not just to guard time—but to heal it. I once bore the Hollow's seed, but chose light. You are the light's echo. Forgive your father. He walks a harder path.

Solas stopped. "We're here."

The Spire loomed above them, bleeding black mist.

Inside, they heard it.

Screaming silence.

Xtermisus stood alone.

The Hollow began its final emergence. A void-shaped titan with no face, a swirling gravity in its chest.

"I will erase even your name," it whispered.

"Then remember this one," Xtermisus said. "Julius."

He drove the Seventh Key into the mirror.

The Hollow screamed.

Julius arrived in a flash of flame, bursting into the chamber.

Their eyes met.

Xtermisus smiled faintly. "Don't let it take everything. Seal it. Use the Clock."

"No," Julius replied. "Together."

Their magic combined—Time God Slayer and Space God Slayer—forming a seal of intertwined infinity.

The Hollow was bound, screaming as it vanished into the mirror, which snapped shut like a book.

The room went still.

Xtermisus fell to his knees. "She's gone…"

Julius knelt beside him. "But you remained."
