Chapter 23 - CHAPTER 23

"I never expected that my own grandson would become an intent lord. But why did it take such a long time for you to come to me."

"I had to walk on the path that was meant for me. Those times were when my intent kept strengthening. I could not simply enjoy then."

"Yet, I have heard about you getting married to a wench, enjoying parties with low-lives and meeting with a goddamn orc. They stink and you ate with them."

Benjamin sighed. His grandfather was never a rational person when it came to certain things ever since he had lost his chance in the election. He could have used his authority to promote him but no, he would not promote a lunatic upwards. The position of a frontline castle owner needed more rational and his grandfather lost the promotion as he always fought against alien races as they were his mortal enemies. He did kill them with all his will so they were indeed his mortal enemies. But what does that have to do with him.

Seeing Benjamin not speak,he asked, "Why do you not speak child? Have you gone dumb?"

Benjamin smiled and said, "Do not challenge me old man? I have given you enough respect as your existence has helped me stay in position for a long time. But it was due to your actions that I could not marry the women I loved."

He got angry and said, "You should have married Elena. She would have surely become a lady."

Benjamin shook his head and said, "I will not marry someone who had left me once. I will not eat what I had vomited."

The old man sighed and laid down. He shook his head and said, "You have done nothing wrong. I am indeed proud of you. I could not get promoted as I did not have enough connection to the orc empire officials while my rival married up to an official family and got enough connection. I did not want you to suffer similarly so I did not want you to marry Lyra who was not worthy of you. Even if Elena was not worthy of you, if you were willing to marry her, I could tilt the resources of the family, making you and her rise up higher. If you had not wanted to marry her, you could have tried to hit on Elizabeth or Sophie. Do whatever you want?"

Benjamin looked at his grandfather. He had always believed his grandfather to be someone mad at certain moments but it seemed otherwise. He looked at his grandfather and asked, "How many aura rings do you have?"

He chuckled and said, "6 aura rings. Aura is too costly and my speed of aura generation from ordinary food is not high."

Benjamin smiled and said, "I will provide unlimited aura coins which I had coined to you as long as you use it only for consumption for forging your body. As for other things, we need to keep our accounts clear. But as long as you use the coins for strengthening yourself, you do not need to worry about strength. When you reach ten aura rings and is strong enough to destroy a continent by just using energy, you can learn certain moves from the central library and make a name as a planet destroyed. You can rub it in your rivals face but do you do too much. Friendly competition."

The old man smiled and asked, "Do you plan to have children?"

Benjamin looked straight and asked, "Why do you ask?"

The old man sighed and said, "I have heard that many intent lords do not want to have children and those who want to have children, can rarely have children as not all women are capable of bearing it. I had heard that the intent lords can fertilize almost any eggs but the body of the mother cannot carry such egg letting the egg collapse. You should marry stronger women and you should marry a lot more women."

Benjamin shook his head and said, "There is no one strong enough to be looked by me. The only reason for me to get a women is if I like one but then my oath of marriage would be a joke."

"Your oath of marriage does not make you monogamous. There are strong ladies in army and I have seen them. Even in my time there was Celestia who had 13 aura rings as her mother, the intent lord of contract contracted the energy of a star to her, letting her have the potential of a steady output of 23 aura rings. She should be strong enough now."

Benjamin gave the old man a deadpanned look and said, "I am not going to find women whom you have made a move on."

The old man got angry and said, "I had nothing to do with her. I was about to retire when she came to the army and she was just 12 years old then. She should be 88 by now."

Benjamin shook his head and said, "You should find some good women. You have the secretariat right. Ask them. If humans are really not good enough for you, I might close my eye if you want to impregnate and orc chieftess or something."

Benjamin shook his head and stood up and said, "I have no interest in any race other than the human race. We are the supreme so why should we care for the inferior creatures. But be careful of your words. The orcs are now a proper race with their own empire equal in structure to our federation. You should respect that at least and show the demeanor of a gentlemen. You represent my face, after all."

He then left there after leaving some tenth seventh order coins, each with energy equivalent to the full energy stored in the body of seventh ring person.
