"Are you that tempted to get fired or what?" Mr. Jeon's voice cut through the silence like a knife slicing my will to live.
The traffic light turned green.
He started driving like he hadn't just threatened my entire career in one sentence.
"Huh?" I blinked, brain cells officially clocked out.
"You didn't answer my question" he deadpanned.
"What question?" I asked, exhausted.
"Do you have any connection with him?"
Bruh.
"WHAT?! NO!! OF COURSE NOT!!" I exploded faster than a Coke and Mentos bottle. Then I paused, realizing something. "Wait a second—how is that ANY of YOUR business?!"
He kept driving calmly. "My employee's business is my business."
"Since WHEN?!" I snapped.
Since when did I sign up for dictatorship?
"Since now." He said it with the serenity of Buddha but the threat of Darth Vader.
I stared at him. Blinked.
Is this man… for real? Is this actually my life?
