Chapter 89 - FOUR AMRS

Nova removed the disguise field around his Omnitrix and turned the dial. The familiar silhouettes cycled past until he found what he was looking for - a massive four-armed figure. He slammed down on the dial just as he canceled his invisibility spell.

A brilliant flash of green light erupted as Nova crashed down onto the street like a meteor, creating his own crater and sending up a massive dust cloud. When it cleared, a towering red-skinned alien stood in the middle of the battlefield.

"FOUR ARMS!" the transformation announced in a booming voice.

Nova looked around at all the staring faces and muttered under his breath, "It feels a little awkward shouting in front of so many people."

He shook his head and focused on the task at hand. Abomination had dropped Hulk and was turning toward this new arrival with predatory interest.

"What are you supposed to be?" Abomination snarled.

Instead of answering, Four Arms launched himself forward with surprising speed for something so large. His massive fist connected with Abomination's solar plexus with a sound like thunder, lifting the monster off his feet and sending him flying through the air to crash through the front of a department store.

Four Arms approached where Hulk was pulling himself to his feet, emerald blood trickling from split lips and a gash above his left eye.

"Hello, Mr. Hulk," Four Arms said, flexing all four arms with audible pops from his joints. "I'm Four Arms. Want to beat that cheap knockoff of yours until even his dentist won't recognize him?"

Hulk spat green blood onto the cracked asphalt and snarled, "HULK WORK ALONE! Red thing go away before Hulk smash red thing too!"

"Look, big guy, that overgrown lizard is using your face as a punching bag. Maybe—"

"HULK STRONGEST THERE IS! HULK NOT NEED HELP FROM PUNY RED THING!" the green giant bellowed, his voice cracking windows in nearby buildings as he charged at Abomination without waiting for Four Arms.

Four Arms shook his head. "Stubborn as advertised."

From their position on a nearby building, Ghost-Spider and Scarlet Spider watched the exchange with obvious recognition.

"Wait," Ghostspider said into her comm, "Command, are you seeing this?"

"Affirmative. Who is this new arrival?"

Scarlet Spider swung closer to get a better view. "We've seen him before. Remember that carnival incident with the Green Goblin? He was there - disappeared from the haunted house right after the fight."

"Same red guy, four arms, definitely alien-looking," Ghostspider confirmed. "But what's he doing here?"

But nobody answered the question, meanwhile the renewed fight was even more brutal than before. Abomination caught Hulk's charge and drove his knee into the green giant's ribs, the crack audible even over the sound of crumbling buildings. Hulk doubled over, gasping, and Abomination followed up with a double-handed blow that sent him crashing through a storefront.

Above them, a military helicopter circled, General Ross coordinating the response. Betty was visible in the passenger seat, her face pale with worry as she watched Bruce getting beaten.

Abomination's eyes locked onto the aircraft, a sadistic grin spreading across his features. He grabbed a chunk of concrete the size of a car and hurled it with deadly accuracy.

"INCOMING!" the pilot screamed, but there wasn't time to evade.

The concrete smashed into the helicopter's tail rotor. The aircraft spun wildly, smoke pouring from its engine as it spiraled toward the ground.

"BETTY!" Hulk's anguished roar shook the windows of nearby buildings. He tried to leap toward the crashing helicopter, but Abomination tackled him mid-air, sending both titans crashing into a row of abandoned cars.

The helicopter hit the street hard, fuel spraying from ruptured tanks. The liquid spread rapidly across the asphalt, flowing toward the fires that had broken out during the battle.

Four Arms didn't hesitate. He sprinted toward the wreckage, his four arms working in perfect coordination. Two arms ripped open the twisted metal of the cockpit while the other two helped extract the pilot. General Ross was conscious but dazed, blood trickling from a gash on his forehead.

"Betty... where's Betty?" Ross mumbled.

Four Arms found her trapped under a piece of the aircraft's frame. He lifted it with his lower arms while his upper arms carefully pulled her free. She was unconscious but breathing.

"Got them!" Ghost-Spider called out, swinging down with web lines ready. "We'll get them clear!"

"Roger that!" Scarlet Spider added, creating a web stretcher for Betty. "Who are you, four-armed guy?"

Four Arms gently transferred the unconscious woman to the spider heroes. "I am Four Arms," he said simply, then turned back toward the battle. "Keep them safe."

The fuel had almost reached the fires. Four Arms grabbed the nearest manhole cover and slammed it down over the closest flame source, then began digging a quick trench with his bare hands to divert the fuel flow.

Behind him, Hulk had seen the rescue. His rage-filled eyes fixed on Four Arms with something approaching recognition, but his attention was immediately drawn back to Abomination, who was advancing on the spider heroes and their injured passengers.

"HULK PROTECT BETTY!" he roared, placing himself between the monster and the evacuation point.

But Abomination feinted toward the civilians, then spun and backhanded Hulk across the face. The green giant stumbled, and Abomination pressed his advantage, driving a series of punches into Hulk's weakened form.

Four Arms finished securing the fuel spill and turned to see Hulk taking another beating. This time, he didn't ask permission.

The red alien launched himself at Abomination from behind, all four arms locking around the monster's throat in a chokehold. "Tag in, green guy!"

Hulk hesitated for a moment, pride warring with necessity. Then Abomination elbowed Four Arms hard enough to crack ribs, and the choice was made.

"HULK... ACCEPT HELP!" he growled, grabbing Abomination's legs while Four Arms maintained his hold from above.

From their position helping with the wounded, Ghost-Spider spoke into her comm. "Command, are you seeing this? Hulk's actually cooperating."

"Confirmed," came the reply. "Very impressive development. Hulk typically operates solo."

"So he can work in a team," Scarlet Spider observed, securing General Ross to a web line. "That's... actually really good news."

Four Arms smiled grimly as he felt Hulk's coordination improve. They were moving like a real team now, Four Arms using his tactical thinking to set up opportunities while Hulk provided the raw power to capitalize on them.

"Monster weak spot - left shoulder!" Four Arms called out, noticing how Abomination favored his right side when blocking.

"HULK SEE!" came the reply, followed by a devastating uppercut that caught Abomination exactly where Four Arms had indicated.

The battle that followed was a masterclass in teamwork. Four Arms would grab Abomination's arms while Hulk worked his body. Hulk would tackle low while Four Arms struck high. They moved with increasing synchronization, each covering the other's weaknesses.

Abomination grew increasingly desperate as he realized he was outmatched. His individual strength advantage meant nothing against their coordinated assault. A particularly vicious combination - Four Arms pinning Abomination's arms while Hulk delivered a series of body blows - left the monster gasping and stumbling.

"This isn't over!" Abomination snarled, but his voice lacked its earlier confidence.

Four Arms grabbed a lamppost with his upper arms, ripping it from the concrete, while his lower arms seized a fire hydrant. Water exploded from the broken pipes as he wielded both like clubs, hammering Abomination from the left while Hulk attacked from the right.

The final combination was a thing of beauty. Four Arms grabbed Abomination in a bear hug from behind, lifting him off the ground and exposing his entire torso. Hulk wound up like he was throwing a fastball and drove his fist into Abomination's solar plexus with every ounce of gamma-enhanced strength he possessed.

The impact sent shockwaves through the surrounding buildings. Abomination's eyes rolled back, his body went limp, and he collapsed face-first onto the shattered street, completely unconscious.

Both heroes stood over their fallen opponent, breathing heavily. The street fell silent except for the distant wail of sirens.

Ghost-Spider and Scarlet Spider swung down to land near them, having secured the injured military personnel.

"Nice work," Gwen said, pulling off her mask to wipe sweat from her forehead. "Both of you."

"Yeah, that was some serious teamwork," MJ added, checking her web-shooters.

Their moment of victory was interrupted by General Ross's voice, amplified by a military bullhorn as he was helped to his feet by medics.

"Four Arms!" he barked, pointing at the red alien. "By the authority of the United States military, I order you to surrender immediately!"

Four Arms completely ignored him, turning instead to look at Hulk, who was already beginning to shrink as Bruce Banner reasserted control.

"Friends?" Four Arms asked simply, extending one of his massive hands.

Hulk hesitated, looking between the offered hand and the approaching military forces. His green features softened slightly.

"Hulk... likes red four arms," he said finally, clasping the alien's hand in both of his own. "Yes. Friends."

"FOUR ARMS!" General Ross shouted again, limping forward with his sidearm drawn. "I said surrender!"

Once again, Four Arms paid him no attention whatsoever. The red hourglass symbol on his chest began flashing rapidly, accompanied by an urgent beeping sound.

Everyone stopped and stared at the pulsing symbol. Even General Ross lowered his weapon, uncertainty flickering across his face.

"Uh oh," Four Arms muttered. "Time's up."

With a brilliant flash of red light, the massive alien form collapsed itself. The tall four armed red alien disappear and a high-tech looking black and green coloured armour appeared for just a moment— long enough to wave at the spider heroes and gave hulk a salute.

The air shimmered for a heartbeat, and then Nova was gone—leaving only cracked asphalt and fading echoes of his voice. The Spider heroes glanced at each other, the silence heavy with unanswered questions.
