Chapter 1 - Frist of Meny

In front of the building stood a young kid with curly, dark raven hair and dark skin. The kid was maybe 17, but he seemed older. He was standing in front of one of the most famous mansions in the world: the mansion of the Slayan family.

The young boy spoke, "...Those who demand Legacy, they live there watching everyone from top to bottom, but today I'm going to show them what an outskirt rat can do."

After that, the young boy turned around and walked into a bar.

Inside, a girl with blonde hair that seemed to shine like the sun and two blue eyes like beautiful gems was waiting for him. She wasn't very tall, at least not as tall as the young boy who was looking at her. The girl's name was Emily, and she was the young boy's childhood friend.

When Emily saw him, she said, "Come here, Munin."

Indeed, the young boy's name was Munin. He walked over to the table where Emily was.

"Hi Emily, how are you?"

The girl responded, "Fine, and a bit excited. Today's the big day, isn't it?"

"Yes, today's the big day."

Today was the day Emily and Munin were going to acquire their avatars.

In the world they lived in, people were divided into two groups: mundane people and tamers. Tamers were those who had acquired an avatar, which gave them power and assisted them in battle. Avatars were strange creatures, different from humans; they possessed immense power that only they and their tamer could use.

Most, if not all, tamers belonged to one of the Legacy clans. There were six different families: Aetheris, Hydron, Sachi, Pele, Maori, and Vishnu. The members of the Legacy clans had different bloodlines belonging to the gods. "We know they are gods, but only the Legacy clans truly know them."

Emily and Munin were going to become the first mundane people to become tamers without being part of a Legacy clan.

The path to becoming a tamer was arduous and deadly. If you failed to become the tamer of an avatar, you would die. But this didn't matter to Emily and Munin because the goal they wanted to reach was far more important.
