They walk into the command room. Lark , the leader of UDDA begins to explain things.
"So going off the information that I hope, Elias and Keno have told you. The two people that attacked you and your friend are known as 'Rift Scouts'; they go to places in order to look for people with compatible power sources for their leader.
"Yeah they told me that. They didn't explain who the leader is though and why exactly he is after me" Shift says
"Yeah, well we don't know his official name for him although we have been after him for a long time. On the database he is only known as 'The Displacer' and due to your powers, we have only just found out what his powers are most likely are" Lark adds
"Our tests shown that you power and his power is a 95% match meaning it's very likely it's the same source but his feels more sinister" Elias adds
"Hmm okay so what do you want me to do?" Shift asks confused
"You see, we believe that he needs to charge his power! Unlike you, we think the power he has is trying to leave him; however , he keeps adding more to it, never allowing it to fully go out. We somehow got to cut off his supply…if you look here"
Lark says pointing at the big screen on the wall
The Displacer left these tear like rifts in different worlds feeding off their dimensional energy like a battery. Sometimes he would make these rifts to connect worlds to one in order to destroy the other"
Lark explains as he shows a dimensional map they created on a computer hologram showing all the different worlds and those marked by rifts.
"It's a pain in the ass for us! He is endangering so many worlds just to give him a power boost" Keno says while clenching his fist. Rageful.
Feeling the responsibility to stop people like this, Shift steels himself firmly.
"Okay and what do you want me to do exactly"
"We're hoping that due to your powers being similar you'll be able to close these rifts, saving the worlds as well as cutting him off the power supply potentially weakening him." Lark explains
"Sounds like a plan" Shift says excitedly
"We have located a low priority rift open in a dimension right now and we'd like to test if you are able to close one. Elias and Keno will be your guides as you're already familiar with each other." Lark adds
"You got it boss!" Elias says as he salutes
"I told you to stop doing that" Lark adds before walking away.
Somewhere far far away in another dimension.
It seemed the one that managed to escape custody in Kalos got a universal signal out to his boss who teleported him back to their base by weakening the U.D.D.A barrier to hide the universe. He is now back at the base.
The dark figure slams his fist down on the arm of his throne like a chair.. his bloodthirsty aura explodes outwards
"You failed?…and on top of that you come back with your tail tucked alone? Care to explain or should I just kill you where you stand?" The man in dark black and red corrupted armour says menacingly.
The man, scared for his life, quickly explained what happened between them and Shift…
"And that's how it went! His powers was a lot like yours and the way he was using it like he had no fear of it running out" he mentions
"You're saying he is stable? That makes things even more interesting! And you said U.D.D.A is now involved?"he asked
"Yeah they tried to handle the transfer but i managed to escape but if they're involved then I don't think that guy is on that world anymore, not to mention they hid it now and it's impossible to locate from outside" he replies
"Well then if that's the case…it's only a matter of time until I meet him. We'll need to speed up the process a little…" he says while looking sinister.
