Chapter 175 - Chapter 175

The Will of the Nine-Tailed Fox… Erased?

When Naruto heard the system's prompt, he almost lost control of his chakra and fell into the water.

It had been nearly a year since he'd come to this world. Nearly a year since he'd tricked the Nine-Tails into servitude. He never thought things would end like this—that the Nine-Tails would be wiped out like that.

Naruto still remembered the promise he made: if the Nine-Tails served him obediently, he would set it free after his death.

[So the host is feeling sad?]

For some reason, the system suddenly asked him this.

Naruto shook his head.

"The Nine-Tails and I only met a few times. At best, I was using him. Why would I be sad? I'm just… curious about what he'll become after transforming."

He narrowed his eyes.

"Will it be a fox with a human face? Or a human with a fox face?"

The system didn't respond. It had returned to its usual cold and indifferent demeanor.

Naruto stayed silent for a moment, then made up his mind.

"Transform."

Since the Nine-Tails' will had been erased by the system, there was no point in honoring any old agreements. He'd make the decision for it—and see what kind of form it would take.

He figured… even the now-erased Nine-Tails might have been curious about that.

[Confirm transformation?]

"Yeah, go ahead."

[Host, please choose transformation parameters.]

Wait, there were parameters? Like choosing a game character?

[Select Transformation Gender]

Naruto raised a brow.

...Seriously?

Who in their right mind would want a man living inside them?

"Female!" he blurted without hesitation.

[Transformation begins. Please wait…]

"Wait—what?! That's it? That's the only question? You're not even gonna ask me if I want a soft-spoken, fair-skinned girl with long legs and a 36D bust who knows how to dress?!"

This was disappointing. He hadn't even been given detailed customization options. What if the system ended up giving him a horrifyingly ugly creature? He'd throw the Nine-Tails out like a stray.

[Transformation Progress: 17%]

The system ignored him and continued the transformation.

As it progressed, the familiar scenery of the inner seal began to change. The iron bars that once locked the Nine-Tails away vanished, and the tidewater on the floor began to recede.

The massive golden silhouette in the center started to shrink.

[Transformation Progress: 40%]

Light began to fill the space. The oppressive darkness was banished, and the soggy dampness faded away.

Soon, the ground was completely dry—like the flood had never happened.

[Transformation Progress: 80%]

The once-colossal golden shadow now stood just over 3 meters tall.

To put that in perspective—the Nine-Tails' fingernail alone used to tower over Naruto. Fully upright, it had been more than 30 meters tall.

Now, it was less than a tenth of that—and still shrinking.

What surprised Naruto wasn't just the shrinking Nine-Tails, but the change in the environment. Everything was becoming blurry and ethereal, as if the entire place was a dream.

"What the hell?" Naruto muttered. He couldn't understand what was happening.

At 90% progress, the entire area warped into something oddly familiar—a classroom building from his academy days. He looked down at his stomach.

The seal was gone.

Feeling the chakra within him, Naruto immediately understood.

Without the seal, there was no more need for a sealed space. The Nine-Tails had found a new home—his own body.

And that was a massive benefit. For the first time, Naruto's chakra capacity felt limitless.

The Nine-Tails' chakra was no longer something he had to "borrow." It had become fully fused with his own—flowing naturally through his body like it had always belonged.

"So… that means the Nine-Tails is now mine. What's that shadow turning into then?"

He blinked.

"Wait. Don't tell me it's going to turn into a female version of me."

His eyebrows twitched. If that happened, he'd throw her straight into a coffin.

[Transformation Progress: 95%]

As he neared the shadow—now around 1.7 meters tall—her features began to take shape.

There was good news and bad news.

Good news: she had an oval face, long hair, a straight nose, and delicate lips. She certainly wasn't ugly—though Naruto couldn't tell how beautiful just yet.

Bad news: she had the same facial structure as him.

And she was still shrinking toward his height.

"Hell no—don't make a girl version of me!"

[Transformation Progress: 100%]

The golden light finally faded. In its place stood a woman—around 165 cm tall, with long red hair and a figure that made Naruto's heart skip a beat.

Wide black eyes blinked at him, full of curiosity.

Her red hair was slightly wavy, and her figure… good lord. A soft collarbone, round white shoulders, a chest that was just right—not too big, not too small—a slim waist, long legs that begged to be touched, and behind her… nine red, bushy fox tails.

Naruto stared for a long while. His mind was chaos.

How did this happen?!

Before he could gather his thoughts, the red-haired fox woman jumped forward and tackled him, grabbing his face like a curious child, pulling at his cheeks and chin.

"Are you my master now?" she asked innocently.

Naruto let out a breath of relief.

Okay… maybe it wasn't what he thought. She only looked like someone he knew. Her personality was clearly different.

Plus, he could feel her chakra. It was the Nine-Tails. Just—human now.

Trying to stay composed, Naruto gently pushed her hands off his face and sat up.

"Don't do that."

His mouth felt wet. He touched his lips—his nose had bled and trickled into his mouth.

That damn witch made his nose bleed…

"You okay?" the girl asked innocently, scratching her head.

"I'm fine. Just… not used to it."

Naruto rubbed his cheeks, feeling them burn. He glanced at her twitching fox ears.

For the first time in his life, Naruto felt a bit flustered.

They said cuteness and sexiness couldn't coexist. But this girl…

She had both. A mature figure. Adorable fox ears and tail.

"Why aren't you used to me?" she tilted her head and asked, kneeling in front of him, her eyes shining with curiosity.

Naruto changed the subject. "So, what's your name now? You're not Kurama anymore, right?"

"My name? Who's Kurama?"

Her confusion was sincere. Her expression was blank, eyes clear, posture slightly awkward—like a blank canvas that hadn't been touched.

Naruto thought back to what the system said—Kurama's consciousness had been erased. This girl… must be a new being.

"Well then, I'll name you."

Her ears twitched again. "Okay! But it better be a pretty name!"

Naruto nodded and thought for a moment.

He looked at her face again. Mischief sparked in his heart.

"Your surname will be Uzumaki. As for your first name… it'll be Chiname. Uzumaki Chiname."

Chiname puffed out her cheeks. "I don't like it."

"You can choose your own if you want," Naruto said.

Chiname clapped. "Okay! Then I'll call myself Uzumaki Tomato. Or Uzumaki Potato!"

She rubbed her chin with a grin, proud of herself.

Naruto suddenly felt like he was babysitting a child.

"Stop, stop, stop!" he waved his hands frantically. "Those names are awful. You're Chiname now, and that's final!"

The artificial sun above their space glimmered over the pool, casting sparkles on the surface.

Chiname pouted for a long time but eventually gave up. "Fine… I'll be Uzumaki Chiname. But Tomato sounds better. Or maybe Sweet Potato…"

Naruto rolled his eyes. Somehow, her charm had slightly faded.

After all, flirting with someone mentally five years old felt illegal.

"Go enjoy yourself." He rubbed her fox ears gently. "I think something's going on outside. I'll be back."

Chiname nodded, showing no resistance, and skipped toward the school building like a fool.

Naruto sighed and left the space.

The moment he vanished, Chiname turned around. Her expression changed entirely—no longer childish or carefree.

She raised her hand. The sun set. The moon rose. A cool wind blew through her red hair.

Her gaze was deep, contemplative—part joyful, part melancholic.

Elsewhere…

A place cloaked in endless black.

No sound. No light.

No one had ever reached this place. No one even knew it existed.

But someone was here—an old man with an aged, weathered face, wearing white robes and bearing two horns on his forehead.

He radiated divine power.

He was Otsutsuki Hagoromo—the Sage of Six Paths. Founder of ninjutsu. Revered as a god.

The world treated his story like myth.

But the Sage was very real. Still alive. Still watching.

At this moment, he stirred.

His unique chakra radiated outward, slicing through the darkness with a single thought.

Then, his three eyes opened simultaneously, fixing on a distant point in the world.

"…More than half of Kurama's chakra is gone. What happened?"

He raised his hand, conjuring images from across the globe. He could still see the half of Kurama sealed within the Shinigami's belly.

But the other half?

It was gone. Vanished without a trace.

"This isn't good," the Sage muttered.

"Is it my mother's power? Or… the Otsutsuki Clan?"

"…Or him."

He remembered the mistake he made—when his own divine power accidentally slipped into the world, touching a soul he hadn't meant to influence.

That person's strength was rising. While his own… waned.

This time, he needed to intervene.

But just as he moved, overwhelming darkness surged forward and shackled him in place.

Then came the voice.

A low, maddened howl from the abyss:

"You little alien… you thought sealing me would set you free?"

"However long you seal me, I'll seal you too!"

"Stay here with me forever!!"

The Sage gritted his teeth, waved his hand, and scattered the dark fog.

Then, he sighed.

He and this planet's original god were eternal enemies. Neither would let the other go.

"Fine. I'll stay. And I'll reinforce your prison. Slowly."

Closing his eyes, he tried not to think of the outside world.

But he couldn't stop thinking of it.

The threats to the ninja world were growing: the Otsutsuki from beyond the stars, his twisted mother's return, the reincarnation of Indra slipping deeper into madness…

He had done all he could. Even immortality had its limits.

"All that's left now… is for Asura to grow."

He opened his eyes one last time and cast his gaze upon his chosen heir—Asura's reincarnation.

In a lush courtyard, a child no older than eight was training fire-style ninjutsu under the guidance of a beautiful woman.

"Konohamaru! You got the hand seals wrong again!"
