Chapter 2 - The Boy of Impossible Weakness

A cut lip, a bruised eye.

It was clear that a fairly handsome face waited underneath, yet it was hiding.

The hair was uncut, extending to the neck.

His eyes were dark, devoid of life.

His body was frail, skinny-looking.

This was the body, the Fist God, Kang, found himself in.

"Where am I?"

He looked around, but the room was unusual.

It looked old, yet unfamiliar.

"What is that black rectangular box?"

Kang touched the TV at home.

He found a coat resting on the floor, with blood stains on its collar and cuffs.

At its collar, a tag read: This uniform belongs to Ryujin Na.

"Uniform?.." Kang said, confused.

He searched deeper, finding an ID in the coat pocket.

"What is this thing? It's flimsy."

[Name: Ryujin Na]

[Year: 2nd]

[Class: C-3]

"Hmm... I've heard of this before. A soul possessing another's body. It was called 'The Great Transgression Technique."

'No.. this is different. Things like body possession usually only last for a limited amount of time. And things like memories being inherited... and the feelings of one's body, shouldn't be obtained.'

He knew everything the body of Ryujin knew, and he felt the fear of his harassers, just as Ryujin did.

Though his soul did not.

"This place is weird, it's cold, and aged. There are a lot of things I've never seen before."

Ryujin picked up a clock, eyeing the date and time.

"October 19th, 2033? I get that it's October... but what do you mean 2033? Whatever that means."

Ryujin walked around the home, and all of the appliances were so weird to him.

'Could this be the place that man talked about... the future?'

'I had forgotten about it, since it happened when I was so young.'

...

-["Look into this ball... and I shall read your future."]

-["Future?... Don't go scamming me, or else I'll crush this ball."]

The man swiped around the ball before looking up at Kang with a smile.

-["That's quite nice. A place even I am confused about. The future it's quite advanced."]

-["What is this idiot talking about?..."]

...

"So, this is the 'advanced' future? I can't say he was wrong... what is this thing?"

Ryujin opened the fridge, feeling the cool breeze.

"That's quite nice actually."

He stood there for 20 minutes, taking in the air.

***

"Let's address this..."

'So this boy is being bullied? Why didn't he just punch them? Sigh... kids have no grit these days.'

"You let them ruin your face. This is hurting my pride to even be walking around like this."

A day has passed since the Fist God found himself in this new, advanced "future".

He did a lot of things...

Like waiting by the fridge.

Watching that black rectangular box, full of inspiring shows.

And even found the internet, through his phone.

-"The S-Rank hunter, Kirei, has managed to clear another powerful gate with the help of his 5-man team. We send our congratulations."

"S-Rank?... Hunter? Gates? What the hell is going on? How am I even watching something that's happening so far away, on this small thing?... The future sure is confusing."

'Where are the martial artists? This is disheartening, honestly.'

Ryujin remembered he had school.

"School. I never attended it, I was too busy trying not to die while training my whole life. I wonder what it's like?"

.

.

Ryujin made it to school, in his uniform, put on unkempt, and loosely.

'I couldn't figure out that "Tie" for the life of me.'

He walked into the school, murmurs, and eyes watching his every move. Yet he held his head high, not bothering to even check out those whispering about him.

He looked around the school, though he had his memory, which led him to even locate the school, he still wanted to see everything for himself.

'So, this is a school? It's amazing. You have a little personal storage, you have a million rooms in this one building, it's quite amazing.'

He wandered all over, the bell for class to begin had already sounded.

Before he knew it, about an hour had passed, and he found himself bumping into his tormenters.

'Who are these brats?'

"Oi, you little shit, where have you been? During break time in class, we were looking around for you."

Sharp eyes, a well-defined physique, the boy before him was the athletic type.

His face, though handsome, was extremely punchable.

He was getting ready to do so, until he felt his feet unable to move, stuck like heavy bricks.

Sweat was forming, his knees trembled, and his hands shook.

Fear.

'What is this? This isn't me. I'm not scared of this little bug; I can squash him. Ryujin, you were truly traumatized by these bastards, huh?'

-Smack!

A hand stung his cheek, and his eyes, once unfocused, lowered into a sharp glare.

"Oh, look at you... all confident and powerful."

-Smack!

His other cheek stung just as much now.

"Stop pretending you little wuss, your knees are trembling."

'I could destroy him. And look at those bastards in the back, laughing... they're just as deserving of a good fist to the mouth.'

The bell rung again, and Ryujin's bullies laughed as they walked away, leaving him there.

Rage.

He hadn't felt it in a long time.

Because to inact his wrath upon a person, meant certain death for the person.

'This body is weak. I can't crush him like this. I need to hold back this anger, cultivate it into motivation, and wait. The time will come when I squash that bottom-rung bug; patience is needed.'

The voices of onlookers resounded in the ears of Ryujin.

-"As expected, what did that loser expect challenging an awakened like Kael?"

--"I know, right? It's honestly hilarious."

'It looks like school is not as 'amazing' as I thought it was... It's infuriating.'

-[If you're tired of being stepped on, if you're tired of being weak, then train, you idiot.]

'Ah.. I'm remembering my own words.'

"I need to learn my opponent first, then crush him to my will."

A smile of mirth and chaotic distortion drew itself onto Ryujin's face.

'Revenge, since how long ago, have I pursued such a thing?'
