Aika looked at Ren.

He didn't answer.
He just held her hand tighter.

"You misunderstand," he said.

Ren stood.
"Beauty is overrated."
He lifted the pen.
"I'll write a new scene. A new meaning. A world where she lives. Even if it means I disappear."
Eloin raised a hand.
Pages exploded around them—each one a timeline where Aika died.
"Try," he said. "But know that to overwrite a truth… you must offer something equal in weight."
Ren's answer?
> "Take me."
And he plunged the pen into the book.

She leaned into him.

He kissed her.
