This was a strange tree, six zhang tall and as thick as a water tank. Its roots were twisted and interwoven, and its trunk was dark red, exuding a metallic hardness like that of red copper and blazing gold. Most peculiarly, the tree bark resembled dragon scales, covered in densely packed protrusions.
The branches were robust and gnarled, and the leaves were verdant, each the size of a palm fan, seemingly crafted from jade.
Especially noteworthy were the dozens or so red, peculiar fruits hanging on the branches.
Each fruit was as large as a basketball, shaped like an egg, with fine, scaly patterns on the surface, a deep, blood-like red, resembling giant, strangely shaped eggs.
Clearly, this tree was a rare Spirit Root!
Moreover, it was likely an extremely precious Spirit Root, and the fruits on it should possess some sort of mystical effect.
However, instead of being delighted, Gu Yuan stopped with extreme caution.
