Chapter 7 - Chapter 7 Fear, Anxiety, and Schizophrenia and Betrayal

Liza and the others are in the camp called Mal Dendorf. The leader of the camp is a young lady named Miss Nightmare, whose real name is Sophie. But slowly, Liza begins to notice... that Miss Nightmare might be hiding something.

Liza: "Hahhh..."

Zoe: "I can't anymore... it's too many fruits..."

Liza: "Ghh..."

Liza almost fell, but someone caught her and grabbed the box of fruit with their other hand.

Liza: "Ugh..."

Zoe: "Huh?"

Miss Nightmare: "Shhh... damn it... you two need to be more careful!"

She helped them and took one of the fruits.

Miss Nightmare: "Don't look at me like that... it would've disappeared anyway. Here, take these. Four fell from you."

She handed over three of the fruits.

Miss Nightmare: "But I'm keeping the apple."

(bites)

Miss Nightmare: "Mmm... damn, this tastes good..."

And she walked away.

Zoe: "...That woman is creepy... I don't know if she's evil or just a little evil."

Liza: "Hmmm..."

Liza noticed a note... Miss Nightmare must have passed it to her secretly. It read:

"Come to the camp... I want to talk with you and Dante. Bring Dante."

Liza: "I need to go to the toilet real quick."

She walked away quietly, found Dante, and handed him the note. He read it.

Dante: "I need to go too."

He followed Liza.

Liza: "Hahh..."

Dante: "What does she want?"

(footsteps)

Miss Nightmare: "Hey... seems like you can read. That's good."

Liza: "What... do you want?"

Miss Nightmare: "I have a request for you..."

Dante: "And what would that be?"

Miss Nightmare: "...You... Dante, right? I want you to watch over the children of the prisoners..."

Dante: "What? Why... wait, there are kids here?"

Miss Nightmare: "Yes... exactly. They're in other buildings. I want you to find a place... and hide them."

Liza: "What?"

Miss Nightmare: "My people don't listen to me anymore... I'm afraid they'll go too far. You both have some experience... with the Sirus..."

Dante: "Sirus?"

Miss Nightmare: "That's what they call the mutants."

Dante: "And why are you doing this? You're not going soft for those kids, are you?"

Miss Nightmare: "There are only three or four kids... you can escape. I won't stop you. I actually like you... you're really good workers... but I want to avoid this unnecessary slaughter... at least the kids...

Sir Eisenberg wants me to kill the children especially..."

She walked away.

Miss Nightmare: "Oh... and you two really need a shower... you smell worse than rotting corpses... not very cool, huh?"

She waved with a fake smile as she left.

Dante: "Let's go."

Liza: "Mhm."

(A few minutes later)

(Phone ringing)

Miss Nightmare: "Yes..."

Sir Eisenberg: "Hello... Sophie..."

Miss Nightmare: "Hello, Sir Eisenberg..."

Sir Eisenberg: "Have you thought about what you'll do with the children?"

Miss Nightmare: "I have..."

Sir Eisenberg: "Good..."

Miss Nightmare: "And I've also killed Müller..."

Sir Eisenberg: "Hmm?"

Miss Nightmare: "To make it clear... I only work for people who trust me! The fact that they had a spy here means they didn't! I've done what you wanted! I killed people! I brought you their blood-energy! I've done more than any other camp! Be it in America or Argentina!"

Sir Eisenberg: "But those are other camps... we're talking about your camp, Sophie. You're not honoring your title Miss Nightmare like this..."

Sophie: "You know damn well why they gave me that name."

Sir Eisenberg: "Hahhh... yes... I know. In the tournament, you killed all the contestants and survived every trial... you were terrifying and fearless. That's why they called you Miss Nightmare... I called you that. Good. As for Müller... your camp, your decision. I'll be back in three days. If I find a single child alive... you're finished."

Miss Nightmare: "Mhm... understood."

He sighed and added:

Sir Eisenberg: "Sophie... I took care of you. Your parents are dead... because they were fools... remember that."

Miss Nightmare: "...Yes... sir... thanks..."

He hung up while she was still speaking.

Miss Nightmare: "Ghhh..."

She threw a cupboard down in frustration.

Miss Nightmare: "Daaaaaaaaaamn it... hahhh... hahhh..."

(The door opens)

Heinrich: "What's wrong, Miss?"

Miss Nightmare: "Heinrich... give me something... a pill, anything to calm down..."

He nodded and left.

Miss Nightmare: "Hahhh..."

(Meanwhile)

Heinrich: "Hahhh..."

Franklin: "What's up with her?"

Heinrich: "No idea... that dumb bitch has been getting on my nerves more than usual lately."

Franklin: "Hahhh... do you think she'll kill the kids?"

Heinrich: "No... she hasn't. I don't know what's up with her..."

He took the pills and left.

Franklin: "Hahhh... what the hell is going on lately..."

(year 1994 Unknown Place)

Sophie: "I'm a bad human... I know that. But I'm not going to let these Nazis hurt people for no reason. They tortured me... even molested me. Abused me.

I still see them.

I see my parents... their skin white or grey... no eyes, just bloody tears.

They talk to me. I'm afraid.

I'm lonely.

I know Sir Eisenberg might be the reason for all of this... but still... I need someone. Someone who can help me."

(A few hours later in the evening)

Guard: "Hmm."

He noticed something outside the window... one of the kids was running with Liza.

Guard: "What the hell..."

Miss Nightmare: "Yes... what the hell!"

Guard: "Huh?!"

She stabbed him in the throat.

Guard: "Ughh... ghhh..."

Miss Nightmare: "Shhh... shhh... quiet, quiet..."

Guard: "...ghh..."

He closed his eyes. She dragged the body to the pile of corpses where the blood would be harvested.

Miss Nightmare: "Hahhh... I'm sorry... but I had to do it..."

She stripped his jacket and pants and threw them away.

Miss Nightmare: "Hahhh... ... that was close. Good thing I stepped outside for some fresh air."

She went back to her room to sleep.

Miss Nightmare: "Hahhh..."

(A few hours later)

(Sophie!)

Miss Nightmare: "Ugh..."

(Sophie!)

(My... beloved daughter...)

(Why did you betray us, sister?)

Miss Nightmare: "Ugh..."

They stood in front of her... pale white skin, black eyes, blood dripping from their eyes.

Miss Nightmare: "Dad... Mom?"

(Why did you do this, sweetheart?)

She grew scared, stepped back... then saw herself—but dead, pale, with blood from her eyes. The ghostly version touched her cheek.

Miss Nightmare: "...Let me go."

Ghost Sophie: "...You did something... not good..."

Miss Nightmare: "Aaaaaaaaaaaargh!"

She grabbed a lamp and smashed it—

(Crash!)

Heinrich: "Aaaaaargh!"

Miss Nightmare: "Oh... no... no... no... Heinrich... I'm sorry... I'm sorry... Heinrich..."

She rushed to him.

Heinrich: "It's alright... Miss... I didn't knock... my fault..."

Miss Nightmare: "I'm so sorry..."

She held his cheeks.

Miss Nightmare: "I'm so sorry... you're bleeding..."

Heinrich: "It's... okay... it's okay... Miss..."

Miss Nightmare: "Hahhh..."

Heinrich: "What's going on with you?"

Miss Nightmare: "...I don't even know... maybe just a terrifying dream..."

Heinrich: "More like sleep paralysis."

Miss Nightmare: "...Maybe..."

Heinrich: "Alright... Miss, you need to sleep..."

Miss Nightmare: "Hmm... fine... but your head... let me at least treat it."

She went to get bandages.

Heinrich: "I've known you for five years, Miss Nightmare... you're not okay, are you?"

Miss Nightmare: "I don't know..."

Heinrich: "That's alright... you're very young... you've been the leader since you were 15."

Miss Nightmare: "...But I'm starting to feel like they don't trust me anymore... they don't listen to me."

Heinrich: "I'm still here..."

Miss Nightmare: "I know..."

She leaned on his back.

Miss Nightmare: "...Heinrich... you'll stay on my side... right?"

Heinrich: "...I will."

Miss Nightmare: "Good... thank you..."

Heinrich: "I heard Sir Eisenberg will visit again in two days."

Miss Nightmare: "Mhm..."

Heinrich: "Shouldn't we be careful... about the children being hidden?"

Miss Nightmare: "How did you..."

Heinrich: "I saw them..."

Miss Nightmare: "You also saw me kill that Nazi soldier..."

Heinrich: "Mhm..."

Miss Nightmare: "...Hmmm."

Heinrich: "You should stop doing that... I'm loyal... but the others... if they find out, they'll tell Sir Eisenberg... and you'll be punished... probably executed..."

Miss Nightmare: "Well... so be it."

He stood up.

Heinrich: "Thank you, Miss... I'll go now."

Miss Nightmare: "Mhm."

He left the room. But she didn't know what would happen next.

(A few minutes later)

Heinrich: "Hello... I want to speak to the Leader..."

Sir Eisenberg: "Hello. What's there to discuss so late... who is this?"

Heinrich: "It's me... right hand of Miss Nightmare... Heinrich Heidehof. Sir... Miss Nightmare is betraying us... she hid the children instead of killing them..."

Sir Eisenberg: "That's fine... I'll take care of that brat..."

Heinrich: "Yes sir... good night."

He hung up.

Heinrich: "Hahhh... hehehe... maybe I'll become camp leader once she's arrested... hehehe..."
