The morning sunlight streamed through the window into the room, shining on the Niffler sprawled out like a pancake on the bed.
"Mmm..."
On the vast bed that seemed endless to a Niffler, Nana closed its eyes, feeling the warm sunlight on its body as consciousness gradually returned.
But it still didn't open its eyes. Instead, it rolled over and burrowed into the shadows nearby, once again sprawling out in the shape of a Niffler pancake.
At this temperature, it probably wasn't noon yet. It could sleep a little longer.
My mountain of gold coins...
As Nana fell back into beautiful dreams, a bit of drool leaked from the corner of its mouth. In its dream mountain of gold coins, there were no hateful wizards to steal the treasures it had painstakingly found and no evil cloak wanting to lick it every day.
Ah, the wonderful mountain of gold coins!
Some rustling sounds occurred near Nana, but immersed in its dreams, it paid no attention.
The feeling of something stepping on the mattress came from below, but this slight swaying only made it sleep more soundly.
Until fur brushed against its nose and a slight itching sensation entered its mind, the half-asleep Nana couldn't help but sneeze.
Who's tickling me!
Its little head began to think, and consciousness became clear again.
Alice would definitely never do such a thing. It was the most adorable and well-behaved.
Kelly often did this sort of thing, but it usually used its horn to poke, not fur.
So it must be that cloak!
With anger in its heart, Nana prepared to get up and give Little Cloak a piece of its mind.
Then it opened its eyes and met three very familiar pairs of eyes.
Light golden fur swayed constantly in front of its eyes. Seemingly realizing it had awakened, all three little faces showed delight simultaneously.
Looking at those three faces so familiar it would recognize them even if they turned to ash, Nana's eyes became distant for a moment before closing again, showing an expression of sudden realization.
Ah! It's a dream, so let me sleep a bit more.
Haha, today's nightmare is quite realistic...
"Hey!"
You three! How did you get here?
"The lesson on Wampus Cat characteristics could spend more time on their living habits. Although it's not on the exam, living habits can always stimulate some enthusiasm."
"Too bad Tim's personality is too introverted to come as teaching material, otherwise it would leave a deeper impression on those young wizards."
Finally finishing the seventh-year lesson plan, Evans stretched and turned his head.
Then he burst out laughing, and the fatigue from three days of bird-catching and writing lesson plans instantly dissipated considerably.
He saw Nana sitting very pitifully on the bed, wearing a mini maid outfit made of parchment, while the three little cats behind it were using their claws to draw on parchment, planning to make Nana a hat as well.
Seeing Evans's mocking expression, Nana could no longer hold back and wanted to fight this hateful wizard with tooth and claw!
But before it could jump off the bed, three pairs of little paws simultaneously grabbed its arms, dragging it back to the middle of the bed, dressing it up while their eyes showed satisfied gleams.
No longer looking at Nana, who had lost hope and resigned itself to being dressed up, Evans tidied up the parchment beside him and set it aside.
There really weren't many creatures that could discipline Nana, and these three little cats were among the best at it.
When Evans first met them, they were still three cubs that looked adorable and completely non-aggressive.
At that time, he had confidently left Nana aside to play by itself while he went to discuss the refined classification of magical creatures with Senior Newt.
Then he witnessed what true prank masters were like.
These three little cats should get along well with Little Cloak and the Weasley twins, but Evans didn't plan to let them meet.
What a joke. With just one little Cloak that could only go out once a week, the Weasley twins' destructive power had already increased by a level, making the castle's caretaker miserable.
If these three little cats were added to the mix, Mr. Filch would probably be close to retirement.
Shaking his head, Evans planned to go to the library to find some teaching-related materials.
And to check whether his homework-grading little witch had been studying seriously lately.
That 'special' magic... it had been a month, she should have learned it by now, right?
Entering the library doors, Evans immediately spotted Hermione sitting nearby reading.
Hermione Granger. A fixed NPC who would reliably refresh in the library. Just give her a table, and she could study until dinner or even curfew.
At this moment, she was reviewing knowledge learned in class against her notes. Perhaps because there were only two months left until exams, she was studying very seriously and hadn't even heard his approaching footsteps.
Studying, then.
Seeing the little witch studying so intently, Evans felt a trace of comfort.
He had always felt these three young wizards' obsession with Snape was a bit strong. They seem to have been investigating Snape-related matters recently.
Although there was some element of his guidance in this, the big bat was also quite capable, constantly stirring up hatred among these young wizards in class, forcibly molding himself into a villain. No wonder they were investigating him.
But how easy was the big bat to investigate? When he was a student, he had investigated for over four years without finding any useful clues.
Without disturbing Hermione, Evans quietly walked to a nearby table and sat down, but the sound of him pulling out his chair still caught the little witch's attention.
"Professor Kahn!"
Seeing Evans, Hermione's eyes lit up as she hugged her notes and sat across from him.
However, there was still some gloom between her brows, showing she still had some concerns in her heart.
Hmm, time for some guidance.
"Have you been investigating Snape recently?"
Hearing Professor Kahn's words, Hermione was stunned for a moment, then nodded lightly.
"But Professor, we haven't found any clues..."
"We did get a name called Lily, but aside from that name, we don't have any other information."
After speaking, Hermione slumped over the table somewhat dejectedly.
They seemed to have worked hard for a long time but found nothing useful, which made her feel very frustrated.
Seeing the little witch's dejected appearance, Evans spoke softly.
"Investigating Snape requires long-term patience. You can't expect to uncover his past or find clues in just half a year."
"But you should understand that the school is very safe. Snape won't kill people at school, and Quirrell's matter probably has nothing to do with him either."
"As for the Philosopher's Stone, you should trust Dumbledore. With him at the school, even during wartime, it would be the most solid fortress."
Of course, the matter of the headmaster using the Philosopher's Stone as bait definitely couldn't be mentioned, as it would make these young wizards even more panicked.
"The name Lily is a good starting point, but don't let investigating Snape interfere with your life and studies."
"I once investigated Snape for nearly five years and never found any clues."
"You all still have a long way to go."
"Mm!"
After a moment of silence, hugging her notes, Hermione nodded heavily.
After speaking, seeing the gloom between Hermione's brows dissipate, Evans smiled and changed the subject.
"How's your danger prediction magic coming along?"
