Alright, let's see where you are...
Jack Kadere rose silently from the rooftop, his Knight Spider suit glinting under the city lights. With the help of the suit's built-in tracking systems and his sharpened Spider-Sense, it didn't take long to locate the source of the chaos: Adrian Toomes, a.k.a. the Vulture, was robbing a downtown bank.
If Gwen and I were still normal civilians, we'd be roadkill by now...
Between the Vulture's rampage and Kingpin's brute force, they'd nearly been crushed earlier. Jack wasn't planning to let that go. One by one, he'd settle the score—with Vulture, and with Wilson Fisk.
Following the sonic boom trail overhead, he soon arrived at the scene—only to see someone had beaten him there.
Ghost-Spider.
It was Gwen.
From his vantage point, Jack could see the rookie hero locked in a frantic battle with Vulture. Gwen had heart and reflexes, but she was still inexperienced. Her web lines kept getting severed by the Vulture's razor-edged wings, and she was constantly forced to break off attacks to rescue fleeing civilians.
It wasn't going well.
"Stay out of this, pest!" the Vulture shouted, his metallic claws slashing inches from Gwen's arm.
Then—CRASH!
A shadow dropped from above.
Jack landed hard—heel-first—right on the Vulture's flight module, sending up a shower of sparks as metal crunched beneath him. The villain was driven into the pavement with a satisfying thud.
Jack didn't need to go full power. The combined strength of his Knight and Spider enhancements was more than enough to flatten a mid-tier villain like Toomes. If he hadn't held back, the guy would've been a pancake.
From a safe distance, the onlookers watching from behind squad cars gasped.
Everyone recognized Ghost-Spider, the masked heroine who'd started making headlines. But this new figure, cloaked in black with a hooded coat and glowing eyes?
"Is that another Spider-Man?"
"Is he with her?"
Even Gwen looked stunned. The Vulture had been dominating the fight moments ago—and now he was pinned like a bug.
"W-Wait... who are you?" she asked cautiously, stepping into the hallway.
"Thanks for the help... Are you a superhero too?"
And why do you look like a themed knockoff of me?
Jack activated the modulator on his suit, deepening his voice. "You can call me… Spider-Man."
Gwen blinked. Spider-Man? He was really going to take that name?
Unbelievable. He copied her color scheme, swooped in last-minute—and now he was stealing titles?
She might've snapped back at him if he hadn't just saved her life.
"YOU JERKS!" the Vulture suddenly howled, flailing under Jack's boot.
Jack didn't answer. He just shifted his weight slightly.
CRACK.
The Vulture groaned in pain as Jack Kadere's boot pressed down harder, ribs creaking ominously. Whatever false bravado he had left vanished immediately.
Toomes screamed. "OKAY! I GET IT! I SURRENDER! JUST—STOP!"
Jack hooked his foot under the squawking criminal and hoisted him up by the collar with one hand.
"I'm taking him."
"Wait—hold on!" Gwen stepped forward. "Shouldn't you hand him over to the NYPD?"
"I'm not a vigilante," Jack replied calmly.
Then—with a sharp whoosh of air and the flutter of his long coat—he vanished into the night, carrying Adrian Toomes like luggage.
"Hey!" Gwen exclaimed, too late to follow.
...
Somewhere above the city, on an empty rooftop...
Thud.
Vulture hit the concrete hard, wincing as pain shot through his torso. Jack stood over him, arms crossed, his masked face cold and unreadable.
"Where's Kingpin?"
"Toomes blinked. "Kingpin?"
That wasn't the question he expected. He'd assumed the kid wanted revenge for the robbery or the near-death bystander incident.
But Kingpin?
Damn Fisk, Toomes cursed silently. Always dragging people down with him.
He looked up, trying to assess Jack's intentions. "What do you want with him?"
Jack's tone didn't change. "To teach him not to litter."
There was a moment of silence as Toomes squinted at him in disbelief.
What kind of vigilante says that with a straight face?
Toomes didn't realize Jack was referring to him—Kingpin's metaphorical "garbage."
"Listen… if I tell you what I know, you'll let me go?" he asked cautiously.
Jack rolled his neck with an audible pop. "My patience is limited."
"Alright, alright! Jeez, you're more intense than Spider-Woman," Toomes muttered, wiping blood from the corner of his mouth. "I've got beef with Fisk too. Maybe I could help you find him... once I've healed up."
"So you don't know where he is," Jack replied, unimpressed. A cold glint reflected off his mask's visor. "Which means you're not useful to me."
"Wait! I do know something!" Toomes blurted quickly. "He's been changing safehouses, but I can give you a few possible locations. You'll need to act fast—he was nearly hit earlier today, so he might already be on the move."
Jack silently committed the list of addresses to memory.
As he turned to leave, a system prompt flashed across his consciousness:

Jack paused mid-step, eyes narrowing behind the mask.
Interesting...
He turned slightly, glancing back at the battered, cowering Vulture.
"Maybe you are useful after all."
