Okay maybe NCC isn't as rosy as I expected. I was only two classes in on my very first day and I already wanted to give up. I wonder how the boys managed to survey up until their third year. The professor rounded up and the minute he was out I began to pack my books to leave when a girl approached me. She was beautiful, blonde and had the prettiest blue eyes id ever seen.
" Hi" she smiled at me . " I'm Penelope, but everyone calls me Pen".
"I'm Andarna" I replied with a smile."Dana for short. Nice to meet you."
"Nice to meet you too" she shook my hand. " I was wondering if you were headed to the cafeteria for lunch. Just wanted to walk with you."
"Now that you mentioned it I'm actually really hungry" I smiled. Sure I'll join you."
" Thanks".
On the way there she explained to me that she was in Eng Lit department and that she had come to our department to look for her friend Samantha.
I wonder what Samantha is like.
She's a very chatty girl and very expressive too. But her chatter doesn't bore me like most people do. I even find myself making small talk with her.
"Pen!" Someone shouted as we got to the cafe.
"Sam" she said enthusiastically." I made a new friend".
Sam came closer and hugged me.
"Hi. I'm Sam. And I'm sorry you had to put up with her boring chatter" she smiled.
" My talk isn't boring" Pen argued.
" It's not boring actually" I smiled at Sam. " I'm Andarna. Dana for short. Pen said we are in the same department."
"Finally" Sam looped an arm around my shoulder. "A girl in the same department as me. And a freshman too. At least I'm not stuck with you guys for life".
"Sam you lose bestie privileges this instant" Pen said playfully. " And where are the boys?"
"Haven't seen them yet" Sam said and turned to me." Please tell me you stay in the dorm".
"Sorry to disappoint but I don't" I smiled. " I stay with my brother at his place ."
" Oh" Sam nodded. " I was thinking about going to the dorm to get lunch. What's on the menu today is tuna sandwich and I hate the smell of fish".
Luckily the girls didn't ask about my brother as they all but dragged me to the dorm. Their dorm room is nice. With a sitting room and a hallway that probably leads to the bedrooms. Just as we were settling in the door crashed open and three guys strolled in.
"Jeremiah!!" Sam smiled and went to hug the biggest of the three guys." We made a new friend today".
"Really" his blue eyes landed on me and something flashed in them.
"I'm Andarna" I swallowed. " Dana for short".
"Nice to meet you" he nodded. " I'm Jeremiah. And that's Lyon and Jeremy".
Jeremy was a splitting image of Jeremiah. Twins. While Lyon looked like your regular boy next door.
" You always manage to make everyone feel uncomfortable" Pen frowned at me. "Come in though. I can't throw you away."
I swear I tried to be comfortable, but Jeremiah gave me the creeps. The others were okay though. It was getting late when I got a text from Colt.
Colt: Where the fuck are you?
Me: I made new friends.
I'm in their dorm. But I'll be home soon.
Colt:Just send me your location and I'll come pick you.
You don't just go around making random people
your friends. You could get kidnapped.
Me:*eye roll emoji* Yes president. I'm sorry.
Colt: Dana you know I didn't mean it that way.
I didn't answer him again. But I did send him my coordinates.
"How are you going to get home" Pen turned to me." Jer won't mind driving you home ".
" No don't worry " I smiled at her. " My brother is coming to pick me up. He'll be here any minute."
" And what us your brother's name"Lyon asked ." Hope you don't mind me asking ".
"Colton Malfoy " I answered.
I noted the minute it clicked and all the colors blanched from their faces and I knew just then that the rumors I heard from the staff at home about Colt was probably very true.
"He's the sweetest person I know" I tried to lighten the mood.
"The Executioner" Jeremiah frowned." I could have sworn you looked familiar."
The Executioner? Colt? Just the my phone rang .It was Ronan.
"Hey sweet cheeks" he said the minute I picked up.
" Ronan" I said with a smile.
" We are outside the dorm".
"I'll be right there" I nodded and hung up." They are here. I gotta go. It was nice hanging out with you guys."
And with that I bolted out the door and ran downstairs.

I didn't see Pen and Sam for a week after that, but I ran into Lyon once when I was heading to the library. He was leaning on a pillar talking with a guy I didn't recognize and a blonde was trying, and by the looks of it , failing to get their attention. Desperate chick. I rolled my eyes and made to walk past him when he raised his head and I met his eyes.
" Hi" I smiled uncertaintly.
" Dana" he smiled back at me .
I walked right past him cause I didn't want the blonde chick staring daggers at me.
I guess I won't have any friends here afterall
