I touch the edge of the cell. She reaches out for my hand for the last time and I take it. She was my love… my girlfriend. Same sex relationships are not allowed in my fathers kingdom.
"I could get you out," I whisper. She shakes her head.
"That's not possible Princess," she replies shakily. I grip her hand tighter to stop her from pulling away.
"Nuh uh, of course it is Rain," I insist. Rain looks down.
"No…" Rain whispers. I hear footsteps, loud ones. My father charges down to were we are amongst the cells. I flinch and let go of Rains hand quickly.
"Ah father!" I exclaim.
"Alexandra!" My father, the king roars, "you are not to be talking to this filth!" He shoved me away from the cell, away from Rain, the person I love most in this world. I'm lost for words, I don't know what to do. I want to stay and help Rain, and be with her for the last time. But I know it will only make it worse. Father is executing her to hurt me, for being in love with her. I want to protect her. "Guards! Take Alexandra to her room and don't let her out!" The king yells. Guards rush in and yank on my arms forcing me to stand up.
"No!" I force myself to say.
"No, what?" My father scoffs.
"Father please," I beg "I won't see her again, just let her live!" The king laughs.
"Father? Who are you calling father? You are no longer my daughter!" He roars. I pull back, but the guards have a strong hold on me. They start to take me away. "You are nothing, your lucky I let you live!" The king yells as I'm taken away. I get one last look at Rains face. Tears are streaming down it.
"Rain…" I whimper. I mouth I love you.

In the morning I awake. I had fallen asleep on the floor. I rush to the doors and try the handles. The door is locked. Fustraited I kick at the door.
"Quiet in there!" A guard outside yells. I breath heavily and slump against the door, I slide down it so I am sitting on the floor. I try to calm down and to think about what I should do next, how I should help Rain… or what I should even do. I sigh and fidget with my bracelet. I'm am still his daughter. The king had just said what he did out of anger. I look around my room.. for something that could help? I don't know what I was thinking because there is nothing. How should I get Rain out of her cell before she is killed? I stand up and walk over to my bookshelf. Magic is also banned in my fathers kingdom. Although… I have a spell book. I smile and retrieve the disguised book from the shelf. I can do magic, I never told anyone. But it's very tricky for me still. If the king found me out I would die, just like Rain… wait that's it. I look back at the door. If I can do magic in front of the guards father will have no choice but to execute me too. I'm not saying I should die because I can't stand being without Rain. I'm saying that they will put me in a cell too and it will be easier to escape with magic… with Rain. Or… I hesitate, maybe a different plan? One that will remove the king from his position and I would be crowned instead. That way I can Stop Rain from being executed and save anyone else suffering like her and I from the rules of no magic and banned same sex relationships. I sit in the middle of the floor and flip through the spell book. I have to act fast. I land on a spell that will teleport the book wherever I wish. I hesitate, frame the king? Would if even work? I glance at the high sun through the window. He is in a meeting right now… or soon? I remember that he always takes a book with him into the meeting, just for notes. What if I swap the two books? I start to formulate a plan. I disguise the book to look like the kings notebook and then I set up the teleportation spell. Listening closely for the guards. I also teleport fathers original book to me. It hits the floor with a thud. I glance over at the door for any movement. There is none. I sigh and continue. I cast a spell on the book so that when it is next open… it does something that with get father in deep trouble with the king of all the kings, making him be stripped of his position. Father used to run his kingdom and be the highest in power. But, for his kingdom to be able to banish magic, he had to make an agreement with the great king who is now in more power than father. The great king is in charge of the 12 kings who agreed or wanted their kingdoms stripped of magic. I smirk and finish the spell. Teleporting the book. I tidy everything quickly and hide fathers notebook. Leaving no trace of what I did. The meeting room is down the corridor from mine. I sit down and wait for him to open his "note book" after a few minutes I hear screams, and then the bell rings out which signals distress in the palace. My plan worked… I think? I smirk.
