Chapter 5 - Chapter 5 {Being Careful}

Guinevere descended the grand staircase, her footsteps muffled by the plush carpet. She approached Grace, who was engrossed in a fashion magazine, and cleared her throat politely.

"Yes, Mother?" she asked, keeping her tone neutral.

Grace looked up, a faint smile on her lips.

"Ah, Guinevere. I was just about to send for you. Jason is waiting for you in the garden. He wants to speak with you about something important."

Guinevere's stomach churned at the mention of Jason's name, but she kept her expression impassive. She nodded curtly.

"I'll go see him now," she said, turning on her heel to leave.

As she walked through the sprawling mansion, Tun Tun fluttered nervously beside her.

"Be careful, Host," it whispered.

"Jason is not to be trusted."

Guinevere's was indifferent the moment Guinevere sat foot in the garden Jason smirked as he walked over to her as if Guinevere would be like last time. In the past she liked this man but not only did this man used her but also came together with Josephine in the past life to destroy her family. When Jason tried to hug her she kicked him in the crotch.

"Don't touch me, I want to break off the engagement."

"Guinevere you little ungrateful!" Jason shouted and Guinevere snorted as she huffed out and stormed back inside and she saw butler Jenkins he was the only kind person who respected her when they find out Guinevere was a fake princess.

"Grandpa Jenkins," Guinevere said gently.

"Lady Guinevere."

"Ah these tea parties invention?" Guinevere asked she threw bunch in the trash but not threw away a purple and blue letter these are from her two best friends. Penelope and Hannah even when she was a fake princess and people spread rumors about her these two never believed it and always visited her and sent gifts to her. Guinevere felt grateful to them and she smiled as she pulled her phone and sent a text to the two if they wanted to go shopping.

Guinevere's heart fluttered with excitement as she read Penelope and Hannah's enthusiastic responses. A spa day and shopping spree with her best friends was just what she needed to lift her spirits and distract herself from the lingering darkness of her past.

"Perfect," she murmured, typing out a quick reply.

Guin: It's a date. I'll pick you both up at noon. Wear something comfortable for the spa.

As she slipped her phone back into her pocket, Jenkins cleared his throat softly.

"If you'll excuse me, my lady, I have some matters to attend to. Enjoy your outing."

With a respectful bow, the butler turned and walked away, leaving Guinevere alone in the hallway. She took a deep breath, savoring the moment of tranquility before heading upstairs to prepare for her day out.

Hours later, Guinevere pulled up to Penelope's mansion in her sleek black sports car. The two friends squealed with delight as they climbed into the vehicle, their laughter filling the air with warmth and camaraderie.

"Darling!" Lily said.

"Let's go to the spa," Guinevere said gently as she drove to the spa place.

As Guinevere drove towards the spa, Lily and Penelope chattered excitedly in the back seat, their voices filled with joy and anticipation. Guinevere listened to them with a soft smile on her face, grateful for their presence and the normalcy they brought to her life.

Upon arriving at the luxurious spa, the three friends were greeted by the attendant and escorted to their private room. The space was adorned with plush robes, fluffy towels, and an array of beauty treatments awaiting their selection.

"What should we do first?" Hannah asked, her eyes sparkling with delight as she surveyed the offerings.

Penelope grinned mischievously.

"I vote for a fullbody massage. I'm in desperate need of some relaxation."

Lily nodded in agreement.

"I'm with you on that one. And maybe a facial too? My skin could use some pampering."

Guinevere doesn't like other touching her body so asked for a facial. Guinevere face was naturally beautiful.

Guinevere smiled politely at the attendant as she requested a facial, her tone firm but polite.

"I'll just have a facial, please. Nothing too... invasive."

The attendant nodded understandingly and led Guinevere to a separate room, leaving her friends to their massages. As Guinevere settled into the plush chair, she felt a sense of relief wash over her. The gentle hands of the esthetician began to work their magic, applying creams and serums to her flawless skin.

Meanwhile, in the other room, Lily and Penelope giggled as they enjoyed their massages, their conversations drifting between gossip and laughter. The atmosphere was relaxed and carefree, a stark contrast to the tension that often permeated the Blackwater mansion.

Two hours later

Guinevere came out and saw her two friends who hooked their arms around Guinevere arms and they walked to a nearby mall.

As the trio entered the bustling mall, Lily and Penelope's eyes lit up with excitement. They dragged Guinevere from store to store, trying on clothes and accessories with abandon. Guinevere followed along, offering her opinion when asked but mostly content to observe her friends' joy.

At one point, Penelope held up a shimmering gold dress, her eyes wide with admiration.

"Guin, you have to try this on! It would look stunning on you."

Guinevere hesitated, remembering the last time she wore something similar to a Blackwater event. But she pushed the memory aside and nodded.

"Alright, I'll give it a shot."

As she stepped out of the fitting room in the gown, Lily and Penelope gasped in awe. The dress hugged her curves perfectly, the gold fabric catching the light with every movement.

"You look like a princess," Hannah breathed.

Guinevere smiled softly. But her expression was indifferent as she put her hands together.

"You two how your superpowers advancing?" Guinevere asked.

Guinevere's question hung in the air, catching Lily and Penelope off guard. They exchanged a glance before Lily spoke up, a hint of uncertainty in her voice.

"Well, to be honest, we've been a bit... stuck lately. Our powers haven't progressed much since we first discovered them."

Penelope nodded in agreement, frowning slightly.

"I know what you mean. It's like there's this barrier I can't seem to break through. I've tried everything, but my fire just won't go beyond these measly flames."

Guinevere listened attentively, her mind racing with possibilities. She remembered the countless hours she had spent honing her own skills in the prison, pushing her limits and discovering new depths of power.

"I may be able to help," she said finally, her voice low and serious.

"But it won't be easy. Are you both willing to put in the work?"

Lily and Penelope looked at each other, then back at Guinevere. They saw the determination in her eyes and knew that whatever she was proposing would be intense.

Guinevere took them to the forest as she held out her hand as an endless flame danced around her like a phoenix.
