He took his time going to the palace on foot. He wanted to see the world outside slowly. Naturally, he was using a cover to hide his appearance. Everyone here will easily recognise him, not for his good deeds of course.
Even though he wrote this world and even has a memory of it, he still needed to get used to a world similar to the medieval period.
There weren't many technological advances here yet; it was almost similar to a medieval fantasy world. However, he did add some things to make it easier for him to write.
A little example was a cafe. He added that to make it easier for date places.
He had no idea where people from the medieval period would go on a date, perhaps to the Colosseum?
Besides that, he also added some modern dresses. All for his convenience.
Now that he sees them all blended so comfortably, he does feel some happiness in that, even though that part might have been a plan of someone else, too.
At the same moment, while he was admiring his creations, something else was going on inside the palace.
Inside the main hall of the palace, Drever stood with his back to the door, observing the empty throne with a firm expression on his face.
His hands tightened their grip the more he stared at the throne.
"You look angry. Was it that unpleasant for you?"
Then suddenly, a voice came from his back, cold and elegant.
A dark figure in a dark cloak appeared behind him. She was none other than the sword saint who came to him directly after meeting Noah.
Resting her body on the wall, she looked at the man before him.
She could feel the resentment in his heart, and more than that, anger and jealousy.
For years she had felt that from him, a man with ego and ambitions, but alas, he could only reach the height he was in right now.
No matter how much he tried, he couldn't become the strongest or even the most influential.
He did reach the upper echelon, but his greed did not end there; however, he couldn't fulfil his greed no matter what.
"What did you find?"
Drever did not answer her question; instead, he asked one himself.
The reason why he went away yesterday, right after Noah defeated his genius daughter, was to meet the sword saint.
"Not something you will like."
Aurora calmly responded, but not Drever. He turned around, jolting in anger.
"What? How can that be possible?"
Aurora glanced at him once and looked away.
'Is he even his father? No wonder no one found out about his cultivation.'
She couldn't believe a father could hold so much anger for his own child.
No matter how grave the situation must be, it really takes something big to develop such feelings for his own child.
'Like father like son, heh? He also never mentioned his father, only his mother and Noelle.'
She could now understand why he even said that and why the guy before him thinks he joined the invaders.
"I used my sword on him. There was no reaction at all. He is a human without a doubt."
She explained to him, looking at her sword.
This was the main reason why she even let Noah go.
The sword in her hand, especially the world tree fragment can help her see what the person actually is.
She did not use it herself, but when Noah grabbed her sword, she felt it.
He was a human, not a foreign race.
When she found that, only then did she let her guard down.
However...
"He is a human? But that doesn't mean he isn't colluding with them."
Drever shot back, fully intending to prove Noah wrong.
However, he wasn't wrong. Just because he was a human, it did not mean he wasn't with those invaders.
He could very well be getting help from them.
"He could be. I am not denying a possibility for that." Aurora accepted.
She still doesn't have full trust in Noah, not until something strong proves his innocence.
That's why she even let a tracking mark on him. His every movement will be monitored by him.
"If you also think that he is with them, then why not just kill him?" Drever spoke again, not even trying to hide his resentment.
Aurora shot a sharp glance at him. She was wondering if this man was even his father.
"He is your own child, right?" She even asked for confirmation.
"I don't care. My daughter is my only child. I have nothing to do with that scoundrel."
He did not even seem like a noble duke right now, but only a man driven by fury and resentment.
He has always been angry about his son, ever since Noah began to treat him like trash.
But after the duel with Noelle, that fury rose to such a degree that he no longer cared to even hide it.
Aurora stared at him as if she were looking at an idiot.
They are both twins. How can one be your child and the other not?'
She was done with him already. It was because of him that she came here, worrying if someone from a noble household had joined the invaders.
Although, she wasn't fully sure, she still placed her faith in Noah.
"I don't care what kind of problem you have with your son and I won't waste any of my time with you anymore."
She turned around and continued,
"However, I won't say he is completely just. He has many things hidden about himself. I don't know if he is with them or not. If he is, then I shall deliver the justice myself; if not, then he is a genius that I will nurture myself."
She disappeared from the main hall after delivering her words.
Drever gritted his teeth after she was gone. The anger in his eyes increased more and more as the thoughts of Noah appeared in his mind.
'Fucking bitch... can't even do one thing properly. What's even the worth of some trash? If not for that other bitch, I would have killed that bastard long ago.'
The only reason he even took the help from Aurora was that she is the sword saint.
Even the noble household backing Eleanor won't go against her. Maybe Eleanor would, but against Aurora, she will lose for sure.
Eleanor was the reason why he did not act for himself. If she found out about his plans, then she wouldn't hesitate to kill him.
She alone might not be able to kill him, but she has her means.
After a while, Noah also reached the palace. By the time he got there, it was already getting to the point of sunset.
He removed his facade and went inside the palace.
He took a look at the training ground, and Wasker wasn't there anymore. He had already left to find Niva.
Noah nodded his head slightly to the soldiers who glanced at his way and continued to head inside.
He felt a familiar presence when he got close to her.
'Aurora is here?'
It was of the woman who was about to kill him just now.
He quickly understood why she stayed here. Naturally to talk to her youngest disciple.
'Maybe she is trying to take Noelle away this time?'
It was one of the reasons why she came here too. He smiled when he thought of that cause he knew for sure what Noelle's answer would be.
She won't go with her, not after what happened this morning.
'She will for sure come to meet me today. Mother will be coming for sure too.'
A look of panic crossed his face when he thought of that.
There is no way a milf who has been deprived of sex for so long will back away after experiencing it only yesterday.
Her cooking from morning was enough to tell him she won't go down easily tonight.
Alas, he wanted to prepare more for tonight, but he couldn't. It was a slow process, he won't be strong after training for just a single day.
But the look of panic soon washed away from his face. The more he thinks of this as a burden, the more he will suffer, so he was going to enjoy it now.
A devilish smile appeared on his face when he imagined a probable outcome of tonight.
Eleanor and Noelle will both come to him tonight for sure.
There was no point in thinking too much about what was going on inside his head.
He will be showing an even greater show to his student than before.
Something that will be etched in her mind. After that, he can even start the process of paving his path to his dream...
Oyakodon.
It was hard, but not impossible.
He soon reached his room and removed his dress.
He wanted to be ready just in case things escalated too quickly.
He couldn't wait to see his hot mommy~
