Chapter 85 - Chapter-85 Internal Training

Nasri glared coldly at De Rocca, Giroud, and the others celebrating.

He was extremely displeased.

In the national team, when it came to pure dribbling ability, he, Nasri, had never been impressed by anyone.

Beep!

Soon, the assistant coach blew the whistle to resume play.

Team A kicked off.

After seeing Giroud's goal, Benzema also felt uncomfortable and began to move more actively.

If Blanc had initially emphasized that this was just an ordinary scrimmage, from this goal onward, the nature of the match had changed.

As the game progressed.

Both sides began to play more physically, and Blanc showed no intention of stopping it.

Nasri kept hovering around Julien's area, but unfortunately, De Rocca mostly used positional awareness to defend.

This repeatedly frustrated Nasri's attempts to humiliate him.

Before long.

De Rocca received the ball on the right wing. This time, Evra came up very quickly and planted himself in front of Julien, giving him a hard shoulder charge.

The impact knocked Julien off balance, and he fell to the ground.

Beep!

The assistant coach called the foul.

Evra shrugged and spread his hands. "That's a foul?"

As De Rocca got up to adjust his socks, he secretly glanced at Evra. That collision had some real intent behind it.

Was it because his earlier nutmeg had hurt Evra's pride?

This French captain had actually been criticized by fans since the 2010 World Cup internal strife.

As captain, he had no ability to control the locker room, and the team's strength was at its lowest point in years!

If not for Henry's shameless "Hand of God" in the South Africa World Cup qualifiers, France wouldn't have even made it to the finals.

To describe the French team's strength during Evra's captaincy: they even lost 1-0 to a team like China.

In the World Cup internal strife incident, Evra not only failed to resolve the conflict in time but actually led the training boycott and even got into fights with national team coaching staff.

He might have ability, but he couldn't handle the responsibility.

Soon.

After Ribéry cut inside, he unleashed a shot that beat Mandanda.

Team B led by two goals!

This left Nasri and the four young stars red-faced with anger.

They even had several small confrontations with Team B players. Blanc watched quietly, while the assistant coach quickly separated them, constantly emphasizing that this was just ordinary training and not to get heated.

But Nasri was clearly heated.

At thirty minutes, desperate to make an impact, he completed a one-two combination with Ben Arfa in midfield, showing decent technical skills.

But then Nasri tried to force his way through a double-team.

He was dispossessed.

After the ball was played back to Rami, he played a long pass directly to De Rocca, who was dropping deep on the right wing.

Seeing this, Nasri immediately charged toward Julien.

As he approached De Rocca, he accelerated, trying to body-check him.

Julien had already sensed Nasri's movement behind him. He feinted to look at Giroud's position up front.

As Nasri closed in, De Rocca suddenly stopped and turned, executing a Cruyff turn. Nasri couldn't control his forward momentum and was left more than a meter behind.

Wow!

The substitute players on the sideline instinctively gasped.

Seeing this, Blanc's lips curved into a slight smile. Nasri had always been praised for his comprehensive technical skills.

And now, he had encountered a genius with even more outrageous technical ability!

On the field.

After shaking off Nasri, De Rocca deliberately paused for a second, keeping the ball stationary without making any further moves.

Nasri felt the mockery from Julien.

In his anger, he charged directly at De Rocca, clearly going for the player rather than the ball.

But the space between him and De Rocca was Julien's stage. His feet seemed to have magnets that attracted the ball.

As Nasri charged forward, De Rocca dropped his shoulder and moved the ball to the left, pretending to go that way.

If Nasri had remained rational, he would have known this was a common dribbling move and shouldn't have committed his leg.

But he was only seeing red in anger.

His eyes were only on the ball at De Rocca's feet. Thinking he had found an opportunity, he stuck out his leg.

Julien changed direction, pulling the ball back. Taking advantage of Nasri's adjustment, he surged forward, continuously pulling at Nasri's center of gravity.

Nasri's legs got tangled. Unable to turn around, he desperately reached out to grab Julien's shirt.

But his own balance was compromised. As soon as he grabbed the shirt, he was pulled down.

He hit the ground.

Wow!

In those few seconds, with Nasri being nutmegged and then dropped by De Rocca, the other players couldn't help but gasp in amazement.

This Youngster named De Rocca was too fierce!

De Rocca continued forward with the ball. Evra came up again, trying to repeat his earlier tactic.

Julien feinted an approach.

The moment Evra accelerated, De Rocca triggered his explosive burst again, actively using his body to shield the ball and withstand Evra's first impact.

As Evra stood stunned, facing another defender, Matuidi, who had moved to cover, Julien wanted to connect with a turn, but Matuidi got to the position first and blocked his path.

Rather than forcing it, Julien immediately passed to a teammate who had come to support in the center.

The ball eventually reached Giroud, who took a shot, but Mandanda caught it.

Although the ball didn't go in.

Julien's series of moves on the wing had stunned most of the players on and off the field.

As Julien jogged back past Nasri, he said quietly, "So this is the national team? How impressive."

After saying this, Julien walked away.

He didn't give Nasri time to respond, but Nasri was clearly enraged by Julien's words and charged at him. "What do you mean?!"

He even tried to shove Julien.

Gourcuff, who was between De Rocca and Nasri, immediately grabbed Nasri. "Calm down."

Gourcuff knew that if a fight broke out, today's scrimmage would be a complete mess.

Blanc watched from the sideline with satisfaction.

He quickly had people separate the two and immediately made substitutions, bringing off nine players from both sides, including both Nasri and De Rocca.

As Nasri left the field, he angrily kicked a water bottle in his path.

Ménez, who had been coming to get a drink, looked bewildered. "Why are you kicking my water?"

Nasri stormed off to the locker room in a huff.

Julien calmly took a seat on the bench.

Everyone else couldn't help but reflect that before the tournament had even officially begun, the national team looked like it was experiencing internal conflict again.

But this young De Rocca definitely had some ability. The French team's future might well have a place for him.

Both Nasri and De Rocca played on the right wing, which made veterans like Ribéry and Evra think this was Blanc's deliberate strategy to increase competition.

Ben Arfa shared Nasri's mindset. Though he didn't follow Nasri back to the locker room, he was also dissatisfied with De Rocca and somewhat displeased with Blanc.

In Ben Arfa's view, if the team couldn't win with the four young stars, could they really rely on this kid who was not even 18 yet?!

After the scrimmage ended.

Blanc didn't even gather the team, just announced that everyone could go home.

That afternoon.

Nasri returned to Manchester, England, and immediately accepted media interviews.

He stated bluntly, "I'm supporting England to win the European Championship. The French national team is heading toward failure."
