Chapter 504 - Chapter 499: The Unknown interference

Breaking the tense atmosphere, Xiao Wu stepped forward with a bright smile.

"See? I told you Tang San would come to find me."

Before anyone could respond, she rushed forward and threw herself into Tang San's arms. Tang San's expression softened, and he held her gently.

"How have you been, Xiao Wu?"

She did not answer. Instead, she buried her face deeper into his chest, as if unwilling to let go.

Watching this, Da Ming and Er Ming felt a surge of displeasure. Their auras fluctuated slightly, a silent protest they could not voice. Yet, faced with Xiao Wu's clear affection, they had nowhere to direct that frustration.

Not far away, Tang Hao and Tang Xiao exchanged glances.

For a brief moment, memories surfaced—of another time, another journey, when they had roamed the continent alongside Ah Yin. The resemblance in scene stirred something deep within them, though neither spoke of it.

After a while, Tang San gently loosened Xiao Wu's grip and stepped forward.

He stood before Da Ming and Er Ming, his expression turning serious.

"I know you two are Xiao Wu's guardians," he began, his tone steady, "but the enemies you are facing now are far beyond what you can handle."

His gaze sharpened slightly.

"If I hadn't arrived today, you and Xiao Wu would have already been hunted down by that detestable Spirit Hall."

The words were blunt.

Da Ming's massive eyes narrowed, and Er Ming let out a low rumble. They understood that Tang San was speaking the truth, but acknowledging it was another matter entirely.

Tang San did not pause.

"You saw that attack earlier—the one that injured a Titled Douluo."

There was a faint hint of pride in his voice.

"I carry a divine inheritance. In the future, I will become a god."

He took another step forward, his presence pressing slightly.

"If you sacrifice yourselves to me now, you will not truly die. Instead, you will gain a chance at eternal life in the God Realm."

The forest fell silent for a split second.

Then—

ROAR!

ROAR!

Da Ming and Er Ming erupted simultaneously.

Their auras surged violently, hostility no longer concealed. The mere mention of "sacrifice" ignited their fury, their massive forms radiating killing intent as they glared at Tang San.

Tang Hao and Tang Xiao reacted instantly, their expressions turning sharp as their auras surged. The Clear Sky Hammers materialized in their hands as they prepared for a clash.

But before either side could move—Xiao Wu stepped forward.

She stood directly between the towering forms of Da Ming and Er Ming and the two Titled Douluos, her small figure acting as an unyielding barrier.

"Is this how you behave in front of Tang San?" she scolded, her voice filled with indignation. "We were saved because of him. And… he is my lover."

The scene was absurd and somewhat comical, that a seemingly fragile human girl reprimanding two colossal beast kings. However in truth Xiao Wu herself was a soul beast of 100,000 years , the difference was that she had incarnated as a human.

Yet neither Da Ming nor Er Ming dared to interrupt her. To them, Xiao Wu was not just a hundred-thousand-year soul beast—she was their sister.

The Sky Azure Bull Python lowered his massive head slightly, his voice rumbling with restraint.

"Sister Xiao Wu… this human may have ulterior motives…"

The Titan Giant Ape beat his chest lightly, his anger barely contained.

"You are being deceived, sister…"

Xiao Wu harrumphed, clearly displeased.

"I don't want to hear it."

Her stubbornness left the two beast kings momentarily at a loss. At that moment, Tang San stepped forward again, his expression calm yet resolute.

"If words are not enough," he said, "then how about an oath?"

His voice carried weight, drawing everyone's attention.

"I, Tang San, swear—if the Sky Azure Bull Python and the Titan Giant Ape sacrifice themselves to me, I will resurrect them as divine beasts. They will obtain eternal life in the God Realm."

He paused, then added without hesitation,

"Otherwise, may my martial soul be destroyed."

The moment those words fell, the atmosphere changed.

Tang Hao and Tang Xiao stiffened. Their instincts flared, they understood the gravity of such an oath—this was no casual promise.

For a moment, even the forest seemed to quiet.

Then, the hostility that had been radiating from Da Ming and Er Ming began to recede. Their previously furious gazes softened, their massive forms no longer brimming with killing intent.

To an outsider, it appeared as though Tang San's oath had moved them.

But the change was too abrupt—too complete. A subtle distortion had passed through their cognition, smoothing over doubt, dulling resistance, reshaping instinct.

If Qian Renxue was present here she would have found out the subtle change in cognition of the two soul beasts so much so that their hostility against Tang San disappeared almost instantly.

The Sky Azure Bull Python spoke first, his tone now calm.

"If you are truly willing to protect Xiao Wu… then we brothers have no objection."

The Titan Giant Ape gave a low grunt of agreement.

"If our sacrifice can make you stronger… then so be it."

Xiao Wu's eyes trembled slightly, but she did not stop them.

Tang San nodded solemnly.

"I will keep my promise."

The decision was made.

In the quiet depths of the forest, beneath the ancient canopy, the fate of two beast kings was sealed—without resistance, without struggle, as if it had always been meant to be.
